The density of this episode is incredible. Ian's ability to articulate the tonal differences in words, body movement etc. Is incredible and enlightening
Wow, this is sooo deep! An ocean of thoughtfulness, wisdom, mastery, passion and love for music! What an artist, what an educator! Ian, please do write that 'Beginning Advanced Ukulele' book! Thank you all for providing this fantastic master class!
I haven't listened to lots of podcasts, but ian is by far the most talented musician I've heard on here. I can only describe his playing as gorgeous. Wonderful arrangements.
Wow!Ian's guitar sounds freaking awesome and of course he makes it sound even better with his technique and touch, loved the vibrato tip. Another great job gang!
Most smiling I've done all week so far! I love the mind-blowingly tricky arrangements of Disney songs. Simple does not mean easy. I could never play 'em, but I sure like listening to 'em. Mahalo for the music, All.
So good to see Ian back. Wow, bar set so high right from the off, and didn’t disappoint. Mickey as a warm up, clearly shows the master level Ian is at and you guys support of any artist that are playing, so much respect. Light years away from my scale of C and D😂. The 5K Anuenue is stunning and am using this show to play to my wife, as to why I am saving up for my next Uke. Just a note, Ian’s tonal and articulate communication was so relaxing to listen too with yourself Andrew. Andrew, it’s a skill to ask such knowledgeable questions to draw the best out of your guests, a skill that is appreciated, am sure, by the wider World Uke community. Have a peaceful weekend.
Took me 3 days to digest this episode. Just amazing and knowing how much discipline, and time one has go through. Hope many can watch this one so much valuable information one can only learn from the best. Thank team for making it happen. ❤️🙏🤘
I never felt so compelled to watch your podcasts in 4k on a big screen TV until this episode. Rockin’ intro! 🤘This episode brought back so many childhood memories. Thank you, guys, for the sprinkle of magic. Aloha! 🤙
Alaska Picks, or Rico Nails(temporary nails for playing guitar), both easy to find via google search. On a side note, Playing without nails can be very good for developing ones technique. Nails are very distracting and we often end up focusing more on nail shape or nail tone rather than good hand position and how the fingers move, posture, musical analysis, sustain of melody notes, shaping a melody etc etc etc. There is a whole world of things musicians need to develop besides nails. Short story long, don't feel too bad about not playing with nails.
Currently CDs are directly through my website. I have one solo EP on spotify and itunes called "Songs for my Son". I had a couple other full length guitar albums digitally available but took them down to re-release them under a record label.

It is always good when Ian’s in the room. Can clearly hear the classical education in the masterful way each string sings. ❤️
Ian: Top of the list of artists I had hoped would reappear!
Us too! Mahalo! 🤙🏼
Amazed to see Corey and Kalei completely stunned by the guest’s playing.

“if you’re doing it for fun then why are you being so hard on yourself?” Oh there was so much in this 🧡

Great issue :) I love the idea of separating voices during playing. Really helpful. Thank you for creating this podcast.
Fantastic! Definitely keeping my eyes out for Ian’s ‘Beginning Advanced Ukulele’. Hopefully won’t be too long! Mahalo!

Great episode! What is the tuning for Ian's ukulele - reentrant baritone?
ReEntrant - GCEA!
@@musicianosullivan wow! the depth of that tone - I was sure there was a low G in there!
Good day,
Too bad there are no subtitles, I don't speak English that well.
Sincerely, Vladislav
Where can I buy Ian’s recordings?

The movie about Mary Poppins is “Saving Mr. Banks,” really good
Ahh, and I'm sure I got details wrong. I remember it being good tho!
Salted mango romero creations came in plays so good thanks...
Spalted
@@mattholtz5525 Spalted is indeed the right word but I wouldn't mind salted mango either 😉 especially the green ones 😁
