WoW ... every 2nd sentence can stand alone as principle / quote by themselves ! ....
3:52 ... either live by *chance or by design* ...
4:53 ... Bad design is wasting our life (time)
5:38 ... Design is Bad. Life is Bad. Time is Bad. Time Is Wasted. Bad Life
6:14 ... *Design of Our Time as the Design of Our Life*
7:30 ... *failure to design: designing for failure* ...paraphrase bruce there ... from "Fail to Plan: Plan to Fail" - winston churchill
16:45 ... *Design is Leadership: Lead by Design* ... start with inspire .. a vison & then systemically executing it
i keep pausing and rewinding to make notes ... thank you bruce mau and this channel ... just subcribed !

Good job on not removing the questions of the interviewer, especially the last one: "What's the difference between Bruce Mau and God?". It was funny and a criticism at the same time.

such a brilliant interview. though it is about design it has been done so prophetically, that it inspires and makes you think. thanks for this.

One day people like these ll argue and start redesigning humans lol
Atleast he shd give credit to the qoutes he is stealing from
    Like
Design should not dominate things, it should not dominate people. It should help people. That’s its role. Good design is a necessity, not a luxury, and it should work in harmony with the people and environment it serves."

Microsoft, as Big Tech, can announce anything for an applause, that it's going to take all the carbon, and stick it someplace. Where? Only possibilty the bowels of the earth, in salt or oil mines. But not to have any curiosity about how the engineering would work, what sort of materials are needed, or how long can a gas be sequestered in the heat- that defines our well-intentioned ecological behaviorism. Engineering firms have been working on it for a while now, not that engineering gets any attention, and that may be a good thing. We are hooked on good-sounding answers, and we want them NOW, and we want to be assured it is clean, and these announcements make us feel good. Design and engineering are vastly different. The latter is a verb.

Discipline is 'design'. Spirituality also can be seen in this way, according to Buddhism, for example. As a cultural studies academic, I studied shaolin practices for that reason.

Our design language to each other at the leadership level does not include the standard of equilibrium. Nature must need what we make. That standard is where our thinking and leadership should be guiding us. They have the resources and the rest of us our somewhat cynical even as we work and think about the heuristics that get us all on the same page. The system that will work for solving our problems has not coalesced yet. We keep trying however, what else would we do?

Trump? Bill Gates? How current is this video? I hope he is correct about the carbon positive statement from Microsoft...gotta fact check that as of this day in time.
