I actually don't think Rutschman is hurt. He doesn't seem to be favoring anything, which doesn't mean he's not hurt but nothing is obvious. It almost seems like it's something like a personal life situation that's filtering onto the field. I absolutely agree with both of you that's it's likely multiple things
It is a bit of hubris on the part of the front office thinking they can fix so many players. Periodically taking a flier on someone and trying to fix them makes good sense, especially since they have a track record for doing it. But dumpster diving and using that approach as a course of action to improve doesn't work for teams that are serious about winning. It was great during the rebuild, but they should be long past that now
