Well the year is 2022, the world is saturated with amps, advanced digital modeling, IRs, plugins, pedals, and to my ears Bogner gear still sounds the most “alive”, most rich, and exciting to listen to and to play.
I saved up to get one of these....seriously perfect if you like fully customizing your sound. I love it. Perfect cleans with a boost, either a 70's crunch with a boost, or an 80's crunch which you can also boost of course. Not to mention 4 different wattage settings and the perfect fx loop, which also has a switch on the pedal. If that all wasn't enough, it looks gorgeous!
The pre and post fx loops are genius. Being able, for instance, to run your dirt pedals in the pre loop and time based fx in the post loop, the guitar is plugged straight into the amp. Only when you switch on one (or both) of the fx loops will your signal be routed out to your pedalboard and back. In a rig like mine (and a lot of guitarists), my signal goes through my tuner, wah pedal, and dirt pedals, through a 20' cable to the amp, from the amp's fx loop back to my pedalboard (20' cable) through my time-based fx (delay, chorus, and such), back to the amp's fx return (20'cable again!). Now see why pre and post fx loops are genius?
Hi, I am curious is this the 6V6 or KT 66 version? I have an older one that is the KT 66 model and I have been looking at the one Sweetwater House to offer now which is a six verse six I was wanting to know your feedback on the differences or maybe I should just have my old one serviced because I love it and it sounds just like this so I am thinking this must be the right one. Thanks. I use a Friedman 4 x 12 with mine all cream backs, but love this amplifier and have been gigging for about 5 1/2 years truly just looking to get a back up. It has never even Needed anything except tubes and it is in perfect shape so either way if you could give me some feedback on the 66 I would love to hear your thoughts 2:272:30
These cats are really good! and they were kind enough to include an es335, though just a blurp of funk nobody anywhere listens to. Because someone demoing an es335 is so rare, I thinking either the goldfinger 45 isn't the right amp for an es335 OR that the best players out there just can't play an es335. Before Hendrix an es335 was the bedrock and foundation of rock guitar. After hendrix, even clapton stopped playing his. Only alvin lee and bb king.
Clean channel is more "In your face" than smooth and milky. But thats not a bad thing. The dirt is a bit on the shrill side. The dirt Sounds kinda like one of the old Carvin amps. Tight but a bit fizzy as stated here below a few times. Hey, some folks like exactly that and if thats what they want then hey, I love it for ya. But all in all, not the amp for me. Especially couldnt see paying 2 grand....
Clean is awesome but overdrive is a little bit too fizzy for my taste, probably the 6V6... I'm more a fan of the El34 Xtc or El84 Atma. Anyway, Great amp for American sound lover!

I got the GF 45 for the vintage dirt tones which are mind blowing. But the clean channel is pure tone heaven.
Wow... that pretty much sums up this amp.

This is the 6V6 version, all GF45 have 6V6, there was a 90W version with EL34 but is rare.
Great amp.

Perhaps a bit fizzy, but trust me man, there's soooo many ways to customize the sound on this amp, it may be they just didn't set it to your liking.
Vincent Morel I fully agree with byronvisiado09 :)
