Are we not going to acknowledge Josh Hutchersons amazing portrayal of hijacked Peeta oh my god
+ArtOfBooks He did so amazing, he made me so emotional! 😭
yess, he's such a good actor, one of the first scenes when he was yelling at prim to kill katniss was so intense
May I just say, it really shook me up when he was going crazy while the guns were going off and Boggs was dying.
Amen
+ArtOfBooks he is so talented!! we were blessed to have him in the movie, he was the perfect peeta ♥
Lol I was an idiot and saw the literal last movie without having read or seen ANY OTHERS
I was so confused but it was prettttty cooool
The only point I sobbed was when she screamed at the cat; that was SO emotional
Also HOW DID THEY MAKE HER THROAT SOUND SO RAW that was cool
Allllsooo I totally get what you mean about having like 10 endings
Yeah
Should probably
Rip poster
+doddleoddle howdy dodie (ha) you should definitely watch the movies and upload a short video about hunger games or book to movie adaptations in general :)
When she screamed at Buttercup, I lost it.
I was thinking the same thing about her throat in the beginning! That's exactly what I sounded like about a week ago when I was really sick and was regaining my voice after losing it. I wonder how they did that...
You can't say that scene was emotional if you haven't even seen the other movies like OMG you don't know emotional of hunger games
+doddleoddle OH MY GOSH WHY DID YOU SPOIL YOURSELF XD and i don't know, like the throat thing made me so uncomfortable - i was like PLEASE YOU'RE GOING TO HURT UR VOCAL CHORDS DON'T SPEAK - YOU SHOULD WATCH CATCHING FIRE BECAUSE IT'S BY FAR THE BEST SO AMAZE!!! but also probably should read book 1 so you can get the whole experience XD
I loved the shot of prim and katniss dancing at finnick's wedding. How she just pulled prim close and the scene circled around them was amazing
+anabellee55 Yessss Finnick's wedding was just so amazing in general.
I really loved that they were so true to the book.. very few adaptions do that, and some just ruin it (looking at ya, PJO movies)
*cough* insurgent *cough*
I feel like the hunger game movies were the only true book to movie adaptation I've ever seen.
basically triana Well, there's the most of Harry Potter
+Puff and Fluff oh yeah that's true too 😁
*cries cuz pjo adaptations*
I think they should have left the epilogue for like an after credits scene, it would have fit better afterwards
+Myranda Barton yes! agreed!
+Myranda Barton this is actually great idea! Haven't thought about that :)
Maybe. But so many people walk out once the credits roll (like myself, since it's already late at night) and they would all miss it. It's a beautiful way to end things. They got the happy ending they deserve and their children are safe. But if I'd known it would be at the end I would stay! It's my favorite scene ❤️
+Myranda Barton
I agree with you, but I don't think anyone would've waited for the credits to roll, sometimes I do, but when I went to see Mockingjay part 2 yesterday, almost everyone got up immediately and left so unfortunately no one would've gotten to see that.
I'm a die hard fan too but there wasn't really a transition to the scene, it was just "real" then black screen for a second and BOOM baby! If people had known that they were going to do the epilogue after the credits people would have stayed. Just look at theaters after a marvel movie, even with marvel releasing that there wouldn't be an after credits scene attached to age of ultron my theater was still full and only like two people left before the credits ended. Lionsgate could have been like "oh hey just wanted to let you all know the epilogue is going to be after the credits" and then even if people hadn't seen what lionsgate had said then all the people staying after would make them curious and they'd stay.
I started to tear up when the sewer scene started bc I knew Finnick would die soon. Im so emotionally attached to his character its just not okay. And then he lost his resident and him screaming for Katniss. I started like bawling. Ugh. Those feels are just too strong.
*trident
same... and when Katniss say “nightlock nightlock nightlock”... BOOM
+bitsofbrittany why did prim have to die ........ PRIM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I CRIED SO FREAKING HARD WHEN KATNISS WAS YELLING AT BUTTERCUP AND WHEN SHE PICKED HIM UP AND HE STARTED PURRING I LITERALLY LOST MY SHIT. I WAS BALLING. I COULDNT STOP CRYING AFTER THAT SCENE.
Bawling*
I cried when the little Capitol girl in the yellow raincoat was screaming at her mom's dead body
+Julia SAME. OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO SAD.
I was saying "no. Love that cat. You want to love the cat!" *picks up cat* "see you want to love the cat"
+Nyx I watched Mockingjay Part 2 with Indonesian fandom, and instead of crying because of that scene. We cry-laughed when Katniss threw things at him. OMG, and when the fandom sang The Hanging Tree after the movie, I just couldn't sing, I just sat there realizing THG is end :"(
"Goodbye Gale" 👏🏽
Ikr, finally someone said it! 😂😂
I did a happy dance at that part
Snap snap snap snap
+Angel Roberson Someone behind me said 'yes!' at that moment. And I just cracked up.
When I heard that, the person behind me yelled, "BUUURN!" and everyone in the theater cracked up 😂
During the buttercup scene, I got really ticked off cause these girls behind me were laughing their heads off when Katniss was crying about her sister's death. That was just annoying to hear them laughing while I was close to crying
I was crying and laughing my head off at the same time
Ikr same here!! People we laughing bc some drool came off her mouth & I was so annoyed at people bc do they not understand what's going on in that scene?? I was very emotional..
+basically triana ***were
+FunInTheSun Laughing is a defense mechanism. They probably thought it was awkward or something, it being so raw and real to how you would cry in real life and therefore felt uncomfortable. Quite normal reaction. But I understand it being rather annoying.
Buttercups face was funny it looked like he actually reacted to Katniss they might have been laughing at that not Katniss.
I LOVED THE EXECUTION SCENE AND THE DRUMS
+Olivia Marino SAMES!
+polandbananasBOOKS IT GOT MY HEART BEATING SO FAST OMG I WAS DRUMMING ON MY LEGS TO THE SAME BEAT
+Olivia Marino THE EXECUTION SCENE GAVE ME CHILLS THEY DID SUCH A GOOD JOB A+
My first time crying during the movie was when Prim visited Peeta and he starts going all crazy and yelling KATNISS IS A MONSTER SHES A MUTT I was sobbing so hard my friend just kept looking at me😂
+Sheyla Ramirez I know right like within the first minute I just lost it - got some weird looks :)
i didn't cry until buttercup either, then i just lost it
+Abbie Bosworth same
SAMEE
I only cried when Katniss was talking to her baby. She was finally at peace. I was finally at peace.
But honestly the last 30 minutes or so were beautiful.
hey Christine you want a sugar cube ?
*winky face*
Do you have any secrets worth my time he whispered seductively 😏
+Balkhis Hashi I'm an open book. Everybody always seems to know my secrets before I know them myself😏😂
@iateurcookie1
+Motoko Yamada Do you find this...distracting? 😏😭
I'm seeing it tomorrow but I'm not ready IM NOT READY😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I DONT WANT THIS SERIES TO END😭😭😭
+BoneStudios15 I see it on monday and i'm sooo not ready either
My brother saw it with his friends without me. I'm so sad.
KATE Friedemann Aww... :( why didn't he take you?
I wasn't either and cried at the end... a lot 😭😭
Leonor Ferreira same😭😭😭😭 I'm still thinking about it today and I saw it last night....
The only thing I was upset about is that Phillip Seymour (plutarch) passed away before finishing the film. Rip his soul. He did a great job in the films. Apparantly in an article they had to rewrite some scenes that he was in and I'm left wondering if it was the court scenes where Katniss confronts him too about the bombing. It left a big question mark to those who just watch the film because it was obvious he was part of the plan and no one caught him?
+CiPp35 They actually did away with the court scene. But it would have been interesting if they kept it cause then that would explain why she was let go. She did commit treason by assassinating Coin. I was more upset that they didn't show the PTSD as well. Both she and Peeta really recovered too fast.
S.M. Chua Well she did mention to her baby that she still has nightmares now and then at night so that explains it, but people need the bittersweet ending haha.
The bit in the dress shop when Peeta and Gale started comparing their kisses with Katniss made me laugh so hard XD
(SPOILER)
i scream when Effie and Haymitch kiss, it was sooooo perfect
it was literally the book! i can't even complain because it's the book IT'S LITERALLY THE BOOK!
I cried while looking at Peeta's face because WHYYY. HE'S JUST SO ADORABLE AND ASHDHADK. Josh really portrayed hijacked Peeta really well. I cried even harder when Finnick died and when Katniss starts to yell at Buttercup, telling her that Prim is gone. AND THAT PART JUST BEFORE THE EPILOGUE. YOU KNOW THE "YOU LOVE ME, REAL OR NOT REAL?" THING. I JUST CRIED. AND THE EPILOGUE. OMYGOSH. PEETA PLAYING WITH HIS CHILD I'M SO DONE WITH THIS WORLD BYE
I love your poster of you! In 5:53 it falls down, I guess Katniss wanted to be the only Mockingjay haha. :P
prim's death was too quick and disappointing. like why
+Nicole Hernaez twas just like the book =( blerg
+Nicole Hernaez at least finnick didn't get a 5 word sentence this time
The scene where Katniss was yelling at Buttercup I was trying hard not to cry and the whole theatre was laughing😡 it just really made me mad
The same happened for me as well. I think there were a lot of people how hadn't read the books, cause they literally laughed all the time. Especially when someone had just died or something sad was happening. And it so frustrating, cause you are really passionated about this series, and I was crying all the fucking time. And these fuckers are just laughing. Are you fucking kidding me!?
RIGHT? I got so mad at them because I was crying so hard and everyone was laughing...
+Autumn Brown That happened to me too! They thought the cat's reaction was hilarious, but I was a crying mess. I got so mad. My brother thought her saliva was gross. No, little boy, that is some real pain it is not funny or gross.
+Autumn Brown It was actually the first time I sobbed in a movie. I mean, I cried tons of time, but I actually started SOBBING at that moment... (well, second time, right after the Sirius Black.. thing.)
People LAUGHED? How could you laugh at that omg
I just adored this movie! I have so much love for this series because I read it when I was 10 and it was my first YA book, so this movie was everything. I can't believe the movies are done and thinking about everything that happened makes me want to cry. I got teary eyed in 4 parts of the movie, and it was just so perfect.
I CRIED MORE THAN IVE EVER CRIED AT A MOVIE
Right!? I've never cried in a movie theater before. But now.........
I loved all the little details...like the girl in the yellow jacket from the book where everyone is walking in the city circle. I loved Peeta in this film, great acting. I loved the portrayal of Tigris also!! That was amazing. Finnick dying :( I loved how faithful the movie was. But I wasnt quite sure about the epilogue scenes, I could have done without it but I enjoyed that it ended with the same words the book did. And I love that the credits ended with Deep in the Meadow and with music from the first film with Peeta and Katniss. My heart was both broken and healed in this movie.
Mockingjay Part 2 made me cry 7 times. 3rd lol XD
Second😏😏same too tbhhh
I cried so many times. I don't even know how many times
I cried when it wasn't even sad, because I read the books and when ever they showed a character that was going to die; I cried.😭
Did anyone else notice how they put the background music from The Hanging Tree in periodically throughout the movie? I loved that little added thing that only big fans noticed.
Who else died when he remembered her favorite color????😭
Aside of everything awesome that you've mentioned, I really really impressed on how they potrayed Tigris in the movie. The tiger lady? yeah, when I saw her, my jaw drop because she looks soooo awesome!
I cant get over Finnick death... WHYYYYY???? Finnick is dead. Not real not real NOT REALLLLLLL
Did u read the books?
+Vanessa I did. But they kept peeta's leg, so... maybe... I knew it was coming but I will never accept it.
+Joy Aimoni I was really hoping that he was going to live in the movies :( it hurt so bad going though his death again!
+Joy Aimoni I was crying and my friend was like sHUT UP
I thought they're not going to kill Finnick in the movie bcs Lionsgate made a trailer for Prim but not for Finnick... I was wrong 😭😭😭
I LOVED the way Trigris's shop looked, like idk why that stood out to me so much, but the design was just awesome.
they played rues lulaby at the end and i cried so much
+niamh xo omg i forgot to talk aobut that
Same... RUE........ :'(
i thought the epilogue fit perfectly with the movie tbh. like you said, it's so gritty and dark and just tragic but it's almost comforting to have some relief bc they're alive and well and they're happy now A ND ALSO EVERLARK BABIES O H MYYY
I also started crying when Buttercup came. Both times I saw the movie and all 3 times that I read the book. I really wished that they would include the training with Joanna, but it isn't surprising that they left that out. Generally, I think that the movie was much more optimistic than the book. It's like everything is fine in the end, except that Katniss has nightmares sometimes. In the book, you feel like it was barely worth it, because both Katniss and Peeta are so damaged and Prim died.
' You love me. Real or Not real? '' Real 'OMG!!! I LOVE THAT PART!!! I'M TEARING UP!!!!
My favorite scene is def the one with Buttercup. I was already getting mad because I mean PRIM FUCKING DIED AND YOU ARE OK ABOUT IT WHAT THE HELL and then she breaks down. It's so intense and JLaw played it beautifully, I cried my heart out.
+Thereza Andrada i agree, such a fantastic scene =D
Why do I seem like the only person who loved the epilogue? I mean, I was already so upset and torn up from the moment Finnick died, and that part, that part when Katniss is holding her kid and she's talking to him/her, and in the background you can hear every single emotional moment we've had in the series, the same music that played when Rue died, and the first hunger games ended, and the morphling died, and Katniss became the Mockingjay and every single beautiful moment we've experienced.
It was like four years of memories condensed in that one scene with that beautiful music in the background.
I personally really liked the epilogue. I understand why you thought it was too happy for this type of movie, but that's a reason that i really loved it. It showed that after all of the crap that Katniss went through, she could still come out of it with a really happy life with peeta and they're children so i really enjoyed it :)
The epilogue was so well done and beautiful it made me cry. I'm so glad they put in the lines about how "there are much worse games to play" I think it's a great line to end with
I absolutely loved your review!
I agree with literally everything you said XD
I totally could've went without the epilogue, it just felt weird and unnecessary in the film
I thought the action scenes were SO WELL DONE. It's amazing that lions gate can make me gasp and go "holyshit" when I already know what happens XD
I started bawling when Finnick died and when Katniss said "there are much worse games to play" I cried so hard the people behind me actually changed seats.
You forgot to mention Coins Death, snows laugh after coins death, and how awesome Josh was.
My husband was like why are you crying over a cat when I was crying during the Buttercup scene. I was trying to explain to him on the way home that it was everything the cat represented. That cat was everything to Prim. She brought him home as a sick kitten and begged Katniss not to kill him when he was just another mouth to feed, she went back for him when district 13 was being bombed and then he came all the way from 13 to 12 looking for Prom. Katniss's reaction to him was so heartbreaking. Jennifer Lawrence is a phenomenal actress. Just an amazing scene.
I saw the movie today with my Mom today...
And she screamed when the mutts jumped out
Like full on bloody murder scream
And the whole theater was starring at us for like 5 minutes
😂😂
+Teagan Mial LOL
My mom screamed "JESUS CHRIST" really loud and someone behind us laughed at her
The part at the end when katniss and peta are sitting by the open door, it reminded be of the scene in the first movie, the night before their first hunger games. I really didn't think of the cave.
I just got back from seeing my second time as well. The second time seeing it was right on par with the first time. It was absolutely phenomenal. They kept all the important parts that I wanted and it kept me engaged the whole time. I loved how dark and real it was as well. I could write an entire book on how much I loved this movie, but I'm not sure I could use the perfect words to describe just how much I really did love it. I would give it a 95% rating and only because of a few very minor things. It was absolutely stunning.
I didn't cry until the Buttercup scene. A+ acting by Jennifer Lawrence in that scene. The whole cast was awesome though and YES. I totally wish Jena Malone had been in it more as well cause Johanna just makes me laugh and she's just...i can't even explain it. Her mannerisms and everything is just the best!
Was the scene dramatic where Katniss kills Coin? U didn't say anything about that LOL -- that will be my epic favorite scene, if it's done well. I HATE that woman
it was but i think that the way that they had it displayed was done well. i hope that makes sense i just dont want to give away too much.
Coins death is too quick. her death isn't dramatic at all. I found all the death quick, but Finnicks. He's death was the longest and the most dramatic. When Coin dies it seemed more about snow then Coin.
It wasn't as dramatic as Finnick's death, but I really liked how they shot it. I loved it when they showed Snow's reaction, and Peeta snatching the night lock out of Katmiss' hands. I actually prefer this version over the book version. The book, from what I remember, was a little fast and didn't quite capture the chaos that ensued after. Overall, it was so well done! Definitely one of my favorite scenes!
+caitie Yes! How Snow laughs, but then the crowd takes over and you know he's dead and Katniss smiles a little. And Peeta taking the pill. VERY YES!
+TheJDSeibel it was so awesome! The girl sitting next to me yelled "yes!" When she shot Coin. lol
I cried in the Buttercup scene tooooooo :( She finally let herself feel something, and gahhhh *cries* . Loved this movie though. Beautifully done.
People in the cinema started laughing when she attacked Buttercup. I was so sad
I loved butter cup at the end!! The epilogue part was great!
Loved the movie but I agree on the Epilogue and then mostly the last few seconds when they gave a close-up from Katniss and her baby (forgot his name) that kind of ruines the Katniss-image for me
Still loved the movie tho❤️❤️
+Mandy Moriconi me too!!! I thought I was the only that thinks like that.
+Mandy Moriconi They could have done a somewhat montage in the form of the memory book to bring the whole thing to full circle. That also shows part of the recovery process. Epilogue still retained but done in a different way. Oh well.
The scene that gave me the most feels was when Katniss started singing Rue's Lullaby in the epilogue. It just brought back all the sadness of Rue and how they incorporated so much from past books/films.
i cried the entire time and that baby tho
Did I hear it was like her cousins or her niece and nephew or something?
Caija Hogg-wood the little boy was jens nephew
+Elisa Skaggs he was so cute! Do you think the epilogue was good? Like in the movie or should they have left it out?
+Elisa Skaggs Both of the boys are Jen's nephews :)
Caija Hogg-wood i liked it but like seriously they couldnt of gotten a real freaking baby to be the daughter instead of the digital one like seriously! But i dont really care either way
Peeta: You love me. Real or not real?
Katniss: Real.
AHHHH! I just saw the movie today. IT. WAS. EPICLY. AWESOME.
1.The movie was WELL ADAPTED and was very loyal to the book. THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A BOOK-TO-MOVIE ADAPTATION, FILM-MAKING PEOPLE.
2. The actors portrayed their characters well. Beyond well. THEY WERE THEIR CHARACTERS. Special hats off to Jen and Josh for those two intense scenes.
3. Those EVERLARK scenes were just full of FEELS!
10/10 for just a superb movie! Thanks Francis Lawrence and the cast and crew for ending the saga in the best way possible. :D
I saw a double feature on Wednesday! It was so cool to see how freakin' long the movie would have been if it was just Mockingjay.
+McKenzie Banner ah that sounds awesome! =D
I went too!!! I went with my brother and we both cried lol
the girls behind us were so amnoying "well i guess she doesnt need to choose anymore its obviously peeta" PRIM JUST DIED AND ALL U CARE ABOUT IS THAT???
+Cuppa Joey UGG I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY DUMB THINGS DURING MOVIES
I just got home from seeing it and I was crying the whole movie and I came home crying. I'm not okay. I mean they missed a few things from the book but everything else was exact and I was so proud.
I knOW RIGHT GALE WAS SO ANNOYING I WAS SITTING IN THE THEATER AND ROLLING MY EYES THE WHOLE TI ME
+cate !! The last scene he was in- that was actually better than what I pictured when I first read the book.
I watched this movie twice and the second time around I had the book open on my lap following along. The lines were spot on and delivered perfectly. Even some of the sets were just how I imagined them in my head while reading. This book to movie adaptation was AMAZING.
I cried during finnick's death scene. My favourite scene was the you love me? Real or not real
I love your reviews so much! It feels like you capture my reactions so well 😜 I felt the exact same way when I saw the movie, I definitely need to watch it again. I began to cry when Katniss goes to see hijacked Peeta and he's like "I should have given the bread to the pigs", I felt so heartbroken😢😢 One of my favorite scenes was when they start the real or not real game and Katniss starts mentioning all the stuff she knows about him and her voice breaks, like you can tell she loves him and misses him so much! Right out of the book...
*SPOILER ALERT*
You didn't address Haymitch and Effie kissing. That was my favorite part that they changed.
OMG YES SAME
cant stop crying
I can't believe this series has end
The Epilogue made a lot more sense. This movie actaully kind of made me Team Peeta
+Tova 'The MockingJay' same here!!!! in the books I thought it was not so.. great. Bt the movie made me love Peeta!!!!!!!!
The way you summed up Gale...literally me. Thank you
Gale didn't get captured but there was this part where he told her to shoot him if he ever gets captured (or something like that). And yeah I felt it too. And to be honest, I am the biggest everlark shipper in the world but I felt like the "you love me scene" has kind of flat acting? And like her position in the bed just looked kind of awkward. But hey I still love them. And then the epilogue scene I feel you with how opposite it felt to the rest of the movie. but I needed the everlark babies in my life so that I could keep living. I ALSO WANTED MORE JOHANNA. She and Katniss really bond in this part of the book and they just like cut all of that out :( AND I NEEDED PEETA'S CAKE AND I DID NOT GET IT. They changed up the conversation between Katniss and Peeta in his little hijacked cell too which I still feel a little conflicted about. And they replaced a lot of everlark scenes in 13 with Star Squad scenes which I guess made sense for the movie and I am okay with. And I frikkin bawled when Prim died and I just kind of sat there with my heart beating super quickly when Finnick died. I just. Ugh. Overall I think the movie was okay. Maybe I am just still in shock that it's all over now and I am like in denial because of that but I just felt eh about most of the movie.
The Mockingjay part 2 scene where Katniss and Peeta are sitting in the doorway in district 12, I immediately thought of the scene in The Hunger Games when they were talking to each other the night before the games.
CHRISTINE TOUGH QUESTION: TEAM PETA,GALE, OR FINNICK ?? btw ily
Omg that is tough AHHH I WANNA HEAR HER ANSWER XD
FINNICK FOR ME
Team Katniss.
finnick all the way
+Balkhis Hashi Team Haymitch for me...
I'm a heartless person and that's why I didn't cry. I was shaking, moaning, shouting, bawling, but no tears came out. But let me tell you each one of those deaths had me emotionally shattered and I loved the messages of the movie: power leads to insanity, you have to fight for what you believe in and to protect the people that you love and not let anything separate you from love.
This is the series of my life and I'd need an entire life to discuss just this movie.
Love Suzanne and all of the people that made this possible .|||.
Did anyone watch the poster slowly peeling off her wall?
I have seen Mockingjak part 2 today. I can't even give the right opinion 'cause that was so emotional. I cried a lot. It was so good as a film and as a movie adaptation. All those scenes beautifully made. I can't believe that all of these Hunger games movies are so true to the books. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were so great. And the other actors too. The scene of Finnick's death was brilliant. And in the scene when Katniss screams on the cat was like... OMG! I definitely love Jennifer Lawrence as an actress.
I loved how the movie followed the book pretty accurately ( I saw it the day before it came out at one of the double feature showings and loved it)
Christine , I agree with you in so many points. the movie was so great and I had the exact same thoughts on the ending as you did !!! I loved it so much and I had to cry so much when Finnick died or at the end when Katniss screamed at buttercup....
Your Hunger Games movie reviews are always so good Christine! I've been watching them since Catching Fire came out I think, and you always have such interesting things to say. It's so cool to see people talking about one of your favorite series of all time with the same excitement as you do:D Also, "GALE; SIT DOWN" is what I was thinking during all of the movie x)
I saw it tonight and I'm still in shock that it's over. The story we've known and loved for years and years is over😭
seeing this to night i love your channel
I pretty much have the same thoughts as you. I was hoping finnick wouldn't die because I'd heard Suzanne say that, also was hoping maybe not the same way. But when he was fighting the mutts and that super triumphant music started I was like NO. I need to see it again because it was just A LOT.
I loved it ! I read the book so long ago, I didn't remember the scene with the tar from the book though and I got really nervous because I couldn't remember what happened!!! It was so well done and the deaths were so sad to have to experience twice.
I loved Finnick and Annie's wedding! Sooo sweet!
As soon as the team went into the sewer I was so anxious because I knew what was coming 😭
I saw it last night and was just waiting for your review! Perfect timing!
I literally just saw it!! It was so amazing the epilogue was...... I was speechless
When you were talking about the significance of the rain scene in the Mockingjay, it reminded me more of the time when Peeta saw Katniss outside starving and intentionally burnt some of the bread so they couldn't sell it and he gave it to her.
i was sobbing during the whole epilogue scene.
I saw the movie today and I loved it. The second they all went underground, I started tearing up because I knew what was coming. I was also secretly hoping that Finnick didn't die. So sad that the movies are over but I'm really glad that the movies were faithful to the books.
I started to tear up when you did Christine, omg. The real or not real scene killed me, it was like the end of an era, the end of such an amazing franchise.
And can I just say that the freaking acting by Josh and Jen especially, was on another level.
+TheBookGram - Kate AGREED! =D
Ok I too loved the movie. Jennifer Lawrence gave a phenomenal performance especially the scene where katniss finally broke down over prim's death
I loved how they were so close to the book and how well they scripted it. I also loved the epilogue but I just felt that they should of showed more of 12 and what happened to the rubble bc that was what stuck with me at the end of the books which is what I wanted to stick with me at the end of the movies. I also cried from when prim died till the end because the epilogue was my favorite part/ the ending with the bed scene and just the more raw side of the characters.
I loved the movie so much!! I loved how we saw president snow's perspective on some parts that we did not get to witness in the book because it was all in Katniss's perspective.
Did anyone notice when Christine's poster falls down? (5:52-ish)
+Kelsey Fiske me!
the movie was just SO GOOD. The end where Peeta comes to plant the prim roses was SO accurate to how it made me feel. Francis made you feel the sense of loneliness and that "pit in your stomach" emotion that Katniss felt. i loved it. exactly how i imagined the book. i was hoping it wouldn't be as depressing as the book, but boy it was depressing.
all of the other fan accounts were raving about how much they cried in the movie and I was ready, but I didn't cry at all. The one time I teared up was when she was yelling at Buttercup, but the movie was like a 94% to me because it was completely like the book (except for the part where Johanna was like 'it smells like home' to the pine leaves that Katniss gave her but I totally see why they would take those scenes out) and I really enjoyed it with my friends. I think my favorite scenes was with the mutts because it all just felt so real and gah they just always ALWAYS keep you on the edge of your seat
I don't know why, but I was laughing so hard when your poster fell while you were talking about Johanna LOL (around 5:40)
THIS MOVIE IS SO AMAZING!!!! Everyone in the cinema jumped a mile as well at the scene where the muts appear and the there's the Finnick part and..... OMG!!! I was in tears, it just tore me apart. OMG! I can't even...
I read the books but with the movie even though I was expecting all the deaths, it still surprised me. And another thing that I love is how they were word by word with the book and used exact quotes
Honestly I have always loved Gale more than Peeta, so when she told him goodbye my heart broke for him. Part one I could barely remember anything but this time I remembered everything and it was just all so well done. I loved how they did Tigris that was so cool!! I knew the deaths were coming but at the same they were still heart breaking to watch. I just loved all of. I agree the epilogue was out of place though and it felt kind of forced. But it was so well done. I can't believe it's all over , so crazy to think about.
I'm the same, didn't get teary until the buttercup scene, which I think was the same for me in the book. I WILL MISS YOUR HUNGER GAMES MOVIE REVIEWS AND TRAILER TALKS AND JUST EVERYTHING HUNGER GAMES CHRISTINE!
I just finished watching it, and I was sobbing the whole second half. I loved it. The only part that was missed for me was the training part. I don't really remember the book, so I guess there is also that.
