Not a fan of this list, but ultimately the judgement on the deck is still mostly accurate. You can actually build the deck to play into Dark Ruler better. By including Eternal Galaxy you can turn a rank 4 into one of the rank 8 negaters, and you can do so after you've waited for a Dark Ruler to drop. This line means you'll likely have to do the rest of the combo with 1 less extender though because you use GPD's search on Eternal Galaxy instead of an extender. Sadly, the main problem is that there are still too many hands where you literally cannot play a single card in your hand. I run only 4 lv8 monsters in my deck (2 GEPD, 1 Afterglow, 1 Emperor) compared to this deck's 8 and my deck still runs into that problem too often.
There's a balancing act you have to play in this deck. It's either have no handtraps or 50/50 brick chance. 3 trade-in is unpopular amongst galaxy players but even they'll admit that every other game a trade-in would've saved their hand even if the draw was negated. I personally run 2 trade-in and 2 jumper 2 vanisher and 2 trance (and then 2 roach 1 ash 2 called by since it's master duel) Trade-in pitch emperor turns on trance if you keep it in the graveyard. The summon turns on vanisher and expedition. Unfortunately there's no r8's that search pieces that you need unless you have/used afterglow, then u can maybe extend a bit further. But you can still end with a Lord that can't be destroyed by card effects and can search for the next turn, or a towers in the form of c62. as a galaxy eyes player i don't think its that compicated to play. actually since i picked it up(whcih was for like ever) i have never once struggled to figure out what to do and when to do it. not until i started changing my strat with photon jumper which even then it took a few tries before my brain clicked. i actually prefer going first(in master duel) because negates go brr photon blast, photn lord and if ur lucky solflare dragon and im most of the time okay. if i go second its a matter of weather or not my opponent gets all there negates out. point being i either love galaxys eyes to the point it doesn't feel complex or well idk tbh. interesting decklist tho i'll be sure sure to try this one out. also 14:06 why wasn't galxay eyes speical summoned when bkast dragon was summoned?
This video made me realize that the Photon player I faced was cheating....I just couldn't be bothered to read all of their cards because there is so much going on with this engine.
It used to be a staple before the new support. The problem is that the deck is tight, like really tight. There's so many things you want and need to play that cuts are inevitable. Plus with the release of cards that can modulate soldier's wierdo level like summoner and galaxy photon dragon its actually better most of the time to just turn it into a lv4 or lv8 to further extend your plays. As a result a lot of people cut the infinity package for more relevant names. Personally speaking tho I think the list's creator coulda easily taken out the 2nd lord and bagooska for the infinity package. The lion's share of the time you don't need the 2nd lord, and galaxy hundred has a neat interaction where you can actually opt to poach a number monster from your opponents extra deck instead of banishing a card, and guess who just happens to be the most played number xyz monster in the game. I'm not gonna pretend it happens all the time or even that it's always the most optimal play, but its something that's relevant enough to warrant considering in my opinion.

hi joseph! hope you had/are having fun in cancun. i'm a runick spright player and i'm a little confused - at 11:30 the guy plays slumber to summon hugin. shouldn't he use either of the other 2 and then slumber to draw? or do you think keeping the interruption of flash fire/curse is more valuable?
I saw Transmigration in side and audibly screamed
Have never seen that card resolved
"Until now!"
Tachyon stuff to activate counter traps from the hand? Yes please.
I agree with your conclusions. Still my favorite deck and the hand you said loses to 1 ash was crazy even if you get ash blossomed
Wait... you're telling me that Mr. Master Balls Tournament (MBT) was a few hours away from my home?
I hope dark matter dragon gets an errata that tailors it specifically towards galaxy eyes. That and more chaos xyz will make the deck a lot better. We also need searchers that can search any galaxy, galaxy eyes, or photon card
We have TWO CARDS that search any card. 2 monsters that search spells/traps. FOUR monsters that search other monsters. We literally only need tachyon transmigration to be searchable
Ah yes galaxy, my favourite Mexican deck. Some would even say it's one of the strongest edison deck!
My buddy got you to sign a Tearlaments Scheiren at nats earlier this year. Hope to see you at YCS Indy cause I got a Merrli and Havnis waiting for your name on them 😏
Ahh yes. The Space Church of *BIG NUMBER.*
So we get photon but not cydra ten minute testing? 😢 like, yeah cydra sucks but we got clockwork night which turns everything into machines and lets us chimeratech the whole board and also duality which is metamorphosis for the deck😓
Love Galaxy!! Just hope Konami actually gives us a proper starter and turn 1 play one day 😅
Ikr? Retrain accelight please!
I thought Afterglow was Starry Dragon and i was like "what kinda jank ahh build you got going on here?"
They both look so similar
I just wanna ask about the music MBT uses in the outro
Good lord that absolute essay of an extra deck
GEPT NATION RISE UP I LOVE GEPTING
No Nova, Infinity or Link BLS is kinda crazy to see in the extra deck.
Seeing all my fav yugitubers out in Cancun giving me the biggest case of FOMO. YUGIOHHHHHHH
I must admit I don’t like that this version of the deck has no copies of photon sanctuary. It’s a good starter
photon sanc is decent, not too important to the overall line but yea, the decklist here is questionable
@@blackfiresprout I mean, I don’t entirely disagree, but in my head, it’s a starter that isn’t as easily messed up by handtraps as most others
The first kash player beat you if he wasn’t dumb. Book the spell negate to which you have to negate. Summon ogre e con take the photon lord. Prosperity hoping for fenrir or unicorn. Birth bring back ogre if needed an basically pick apart your board an setup for the crack back
7:08 You respect prime photon dragon 😡 it’s the perfect going second attacking card, does 10k+
And dude acting like monster recursion isnt still a thing in current ygo 🙄
The level 4 that summons another copy of itself might be the push the deck needs to de-brick itself
1 vanisher 2 thrasher. Search vanisher easy and thrasher is the combo starter based on other cards in hand.
Cancun looks amazing
My favorite archetype of all time \o/
same
Live and die by the level eight garnets.
Every galaxy photon players experience.
the deck doesnt brick nearly as much anymore
Watching me negate every extender card and praying they don’t have more extenders is a pups dream. They always have a way to get them out. Summon “do 1 billion lp damage” win card everytime
still trying to figure out whats on that tank top he wears all the time
Blackpool? Blackpool!? I never thought I'd here that name love MBT's lips
I am one of them pet deckers
8:04 MBT has been watching too much DB grinder... i did not just hear "ta-PEER"
If you want to have more stuff to do going first, galaxy soldier + 2 light monsters can get you to cydra infinity
Dawg. Ima need that poprocket shirt.
Is Triff there? His dream was having a trip to Mexico with his favorite Yugitubers.
Galaxy has a turn 1 that forces a turn skip on your opponent to be fair. It's done with photon time skip and the artifact xyz so relatively not impossible to pull off
Damn it's almost like Kash isn't actually that good and instead just abuses shifter and i guess ariseheart against decks that can't out a single monster with no protection.
as a galaxy eyes player i don't think its that compicated to play. actually since i picked it up(whcih was for like ever) i have never once struggled to figure out what to do and when to do it. not until i started changing my strat with photon jumper which even then it took a few tries before my brain clicked. i actually prefer going first(in master duel) because negates go brr photon blast, photn lord and if ur lucky solflare dragon and im most of the time okay. if i go second its a matter of weather or not my opponent gets all there negates out. point being i either love galaxys eyes to the point it doesn't feel complex or well idk tbh. interesting decklist tho i'll be sure sure to try this one out. also 14:06 why wasn't galxay eyes speical summoned when bkast dragon was summoned?
alright I'm now about to find out why a card that skips your battle phase is supposedly good in a deck that literally only wins by attacking
curious are you allowed to watch the event in person
This video made me realize that the Photon player I faced was cheating....I just couldn't be bothered to read all of their cards because there is so much going on with this engine.
How so?
I love seeing runick being slapped for 5 billion damage after drawing 3
My gf runs Bujinki instead of one of the solflares because it's a decent anti brick
Where you finding these Kash players? Cos everytime I play against the deck, they always open unicorn + fenrir + shifter + birth + prosp
Joseph with his Boyfriend. Lets goooooo
I’m surprised the deck doesn’t play with Cyber Dragon Nova and Infinity. You can make it with two Galaxy Soldiers.
We used to, but Summoner and GPD's ability to make Soldier into a 4 or 8 alongside a tigher Extra Deck means we had to cut it.
