Herb Dean is UFC's go-to ref when it comes to giving hyped fighters the best odds to win, it's not mistakes, it's deliberate. Just look at all the cheating that Conor got away with in the Khabib fight and now this.
I think dayna ordered herb dean to reff thus fight in this way. Thats why he was not upset with it but joe rogan was so upset. This was an order from the top behind closed doors probably more likely than a payday attempt for herb dean

I personally think herb had money on Sean 😂 only explanation. This was RAMPANT. I feel bad for Merab. Stacked the deck against him and if Sean literally hadn’t crapped out the whole match they would’ve robbed him. Sean was given two rounds by two judges I’m pretty sure. Two rounds for THAT performance. Any more shots landed from Sean and they are robbing Merab is what I truly believe. Glad Merab got it done
I’ve been defending Herb for years with all his recent blunders but what happened at 306 was inexcusable. He had a good call when stopping Sean for pulling on Merabs gloves but everything after that was pure shit. Stopping Merab kissing Sean making him think the round was over, the constant calls for Merab to “work” when he’s throwing at least 1 strike per second.
Herb Dean should of never let Sean get that Sucker Punch off in the first place. When the action is stopped with time left, the referee needs to take control and always get between the fighters. Especially if it is because of something that involves any form of unsportsmanlike conduct. If Sean landed the punch and knocked out Merab, it would be a completely different outcome obviously. I even question that if it happened, whether Herb would have even disqualified Sean. He literally told Merab it "was his own fault" Yes I know he was kissing him but the action was stopped because of it. It isn't Merab's job to predict that Sean might throw an illegal strike out of frustration while the fight action was clearly stopped. Herb constantly seems unable to ever take any form of constructive criticism even when it is painfully obvious to almost everyone that he is making very bad judgments during many of his fights. I don't blame the people at all who are thinking he is being paid off....
When Lawler slammed Askren and bent his neck in half. Herb didnt stop it. But Herb stopped it when Askren was "choking" Lawler because of "Nerve issues." 😂 That clown 🤡 doesnt belong anywhere near an octagon.
Yeah the whole thing was kinda fishy. It almost seemed like someone (obviously Dana) told Herb not to let Merab grind Omalley on the cage for 25 minutes...
@JJLovesFights I don't think we'll see them push the action with that one because the grappling is expected and it'll be a regular ppv. I think Dana wanted to make sure the sphere card ended on a decent note. But theres only so much you can do about it when Merab was as dominant as he was that night.

He said stop replay the video and Rob stopped but Shawn didn't then he blamed Rob for kissing him he said "that was your fault for kissing him" is that a rule in the UFC I would like to know? But when a ref screams stop and one fighter obeys and the other don't there is a rule for that for sure and it was ignored
What about not telling Tim to shut the **** up he’s a coach and that’s against the rules ?? It’s against the rules to talk to at or about loud enough so they can hear u if it’s not the fighter ur there to coach. Meaning everytime Tim says MERAB’S name even if it’s a call like he claims it’s illegal but luckily they can’t hear any of that. Aljo never ever ever has said this is messed up they ate the L like a pro should so this time around it wasn’t happening again I don’t think it had anything to do with this it was about the rule u can’t talk to the opposing fighter good video though
