Replace A/C Receiver Drier | Toyota Sienna 1st Generation

You need to change the A/C receiver drier if you have a leak in or do repairs on your vehicle air conditioner system. We'll show you how to change the receiver drier on a Toyota Sienna. The receiver drier contains a material, called "desiccant," that's used to absorb moisture that gets into the air conditioner system. Moisture in your A/C system is bad news, so you want to replace the receiver drier whenever you have a leak in or do repairs on your vehicle A/C system.
Note: I use standard PAG 46 refrigerant oil that doesn't have dye or enhancers in it. You don't need dyes or enhancers. You can buy the PAG 46 at a local auto parts store.

Hi thanks for your videos I'm a subscriber.
Question please...
I have a 1995 Lexus LS 400.
The radiator fan is not activating.
It does work because i tested it.
I disconnected the connector that's connected to the receiver drier and the radiator fan turns on and stays on continuously the whole time.
But when I reconnect the connector the radiator fan turns off.
I'm trying to fix the fan so that it turns on when I turn on my air conditioner but the fan does not turn on when I turn on the AC.
I feel like it has something to do with that connection but I'm not sure.
Do you think I might have a bad sensor that's connected to the receiver drier?

Do you add PAG-46 Oil to the new Receiver before installing it?

We add the oil to the supply line, not the receiver/dryer.

How to spot receiver drier had problem?

Hi Hazim. If you suspect a leak at the joints of the Receiver Drier, where the O-rings are, you can rent a leak detector at a local auto parts store to probe the area. If you return the detector in good shape, you get all of your money back.
There are many issues that can result from a failed Receiver Drier and too many to cover in a response comment. Other components of the AC system that fail share some of the same symptoms or issues, so it can be difficult to pinpoint which component is causing the issue. I recommend that you search the topic online.
