un poco de buena musica y animacion increible... una joya
I‘m 14 and i love this music
It's was also Oswald's first appearance with Blue shorts.
One of the few parts of the movie that has a plot. :-0. Excellent.
Some great early Walter Lantz animation! Despite production difficulties, Lantz wanted Universal to make his short cartoons in color as well. But due to the cost (and "King Of Jazz" being a box-office flop) they refused. Had they gone along, Lantz rather than Disney would have been first to make color cartoons!
Jeff Missinne actually I thought flip the frog was the first to be in color with fiddlesticks (1930)
This is the first instance of technicolor in a cartoon, Fiddlesticks is the cartoon SHORT, this is just a segment to a film, also done completely in two strip Technicolor
Fiddle sticks was the first color cartoon, King Of Jazz Was Just Another Cartoon Color Fill After fiddle sticks
CandyDaCat this clip came first before Fiddlesticks (April vs August 1930)
this one came first. granted, this is just 3 minutes and not a standalone cartoon but this was the first animation ever in color. and, yes, it’s said Fiddlesticks was released in two-strip color, but not in the united states. prints released in the UK were filmed in a british two-color system. not technicolor.
I bet 2 people knew who oswald was when this came out
Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang at 1:48!!
Sorry for a reply on a three year old comment: Red and Green were the only two colors used in this two-strip Technicolor film. Blue came out of these two colors using filters ..
Interesting early use of colour (only two of them... they hadn't got round to adding the green!). Interesting portrayal of Whiteman - who was seldom flattered!
I think it says, "My Lord delivered Daniel. Why can't he deliver me?"
Aaron L My Lord delivered Daniel 3x. Why can’t he deliver me
This lion is really cute and friendly.
amazing friend ..so good
Oh god! oswald the lucky rabbit! 2:23
Pinto Colvig's Creation (1915) was the first animated movie.
No is karakter 1930
Bing Crosby voiced both Paul Whiteman and the lion.
It's about the story of Daniel and the lion. Daniel pray to god for his life, and god sent him a violin to play to the lion.
That's not how the real story goes but that's how this one goes lol
Nice. I wonder why Oswald licks his fingers, though
1:15

I know Walter Lantz said that the lion was played by Bing Crosby. Was cartoon Paul Whitman also voiced by Bing too?
Sir Jake I think Whiteman voiced himself

It's amazing how europeans wanted and still try to claim the only music unique to america JAZZ--Oh wait --then there's the Blues and then Little Richard and a thing called rock and roll --and then rap music --- I heard in a Jazz magazine that Krawls won out even Ella and Nina as best jazz singer of all time ---YIKES!!!! Get a grip folks !!
magicforesttree actually (and debatable) the first blues was recorded in England by gene Greene
