I love this car! It's cheap and reliable and the best thing is that I have a lot of fun with it! I also love the Gr. A exhaust sound!

I drove one of this from Belgium to Romania, it was just perfect for me. Better than any bmw or sport car. The feeling it gives you is unique.Now I am thinking to buy one as a second car.
I have the sedan version of the Polo with chassis code 6v2.It's an amazing,reliable,cheap car that does great it's job.It's not fast but if it's well maintained and it has good suspension,brakes etc you can have a lot of fun!

6N One of the greatest polo’s of that time.
I absolutely love it! Not the most powerful, not the fastest but a really practical car! Cheap, reliable, economical and the list goes on..

@@JanJaapBats I watched your video!I agree with everything.Mine is also a 6KV 1.4 8v.My only concern is that it has many kms and has developed piston slap and i dont know how long it will last.I do regular services and i dont drive it agressively everyday.I'm thinking of a rebuild around Christmas or maybe selling it :/

Thank you very much for the positive comment! Personally I find it more interesting to have fun with a car like this instead of a fully tuned one which requires less driving skills.
@@dailydoseofdriving yes these cars requires skill..need drivers not assholes. Btw I like the smoothness of pressing-releasing the clutch 😄 the engine did not jerk
@@geraldzenelaj Double clutch is a skill I'm really good at, especially after owning two Alfas 33 in the past with a really interesting transmission.Many ask me why I don't use heel and toe.The truth is I dont have a track where I can practice it.In public roads it's risky and I dont want to risk it!
Tuesday if it goes well, I'm buying one (1.4) (16v) 90 hp stage 2 slightly elaborated both in terms of hp and exhaust + direct intake I think, I can't wait for the owner to bring it to me 😍🤩

I have been there on this exact same roads... With a polo 6n1 1.4 16v... And gone ×2 the speed in night when the road was empty hella fun.
Sure,the 16v is a lot quicker and with better handling too.

As a Polo HB 6n owner, i wonder if my gasoline consuption with 6.3-6.4 liters/100km OK is? (150k kms) Btw, i love the drive, and also as a new driver, video was kind of lesson for me. Thanks.
pretty good little car used to have on but i died every time i drove thru a puddle
I had the same problem one time.The puddle was so big that the crank sensor in the distributor got wet.
Did the fuel economy change with a complete straight pipe?

Yes!I know I was driving faster than the others and at a place where you are not allowed to pass but If you watched carefully you can clearly see that I tried to pass safely every car I wanted to.This time,the old guy in Volvo decided it was a good idea to accelerate while I was overtaking him and a car was coming the other way! Luckily I had enough time and I'm sure the other car slowed down a bit for me.

Man... i wish i lived in a place like this. I love driving but i live in a plain so the roads are kind of boring.
There are many interesting roads here in Greece in general but most of them are not in good condition.You may enjoy some parts of these roads but others may make you angry because they destroy your car 😆

@@Mre942 Dude,you see a 60hp engine revving the sh!t out of it,changing gears some times at 5500-5700 rpms where the redline starts to appear.What do you expect from it?No,i dont have a bad day,but i think that viewers must know what to wait from a video!
@@dailydoseofdriving i had the same kind of car 6n2 i have a 6v5 1.6 now 🤷♂️ sorry if i'm damaged , these car are light you can keep pretty high speed in corners, specialy if you run coils and R-tyres 👌 (i don't have it on my stock 6v5 thoe)
This one is the saloon edition,Polo Classic 6KV.If you install sportier shocks,springs,beefier tires i agree that you can keep pretty high speed in corners.Performance wise the 8v is not fast but the short gearbox ratio helps together with torque.I would prefer the 1.4 16v 101 engine or a 1.6 instead

Note for you: It does not go faster with a noisy exhaust, sun glasses and open window. It just makes you look like a gay..

Reckless driving
Knowing this road for years, everything was under control.The only dangerous moment was when the volvo driver started accelerating while i was overtaking him.Note,he was overaged.. Either way,thanks for your comment.
