It looks as if Henriks was a wonderful loving grandad. Those children must miss him a great deal. A handsome man. Does anyone know why he was never bestowed with the title of King?
It's like Prince Philip never being made king. Neither Denmark or the UK have the tradition of granting the Crown Matrimonial to the husband of a Queen Regnant. Mary Queen of Scots did, but was then implicated in her husband's murder
@@mscott3918 I understand but he was terribly hurt and bitter about it. Even left Denmark at one time and refused to be buried near Margarethe. It has to feel quite emasculating for a man like Philip for example, who has to walk two steps behind his wife.
