It's extraordinary that the lead vocalist is actually better at singing live than 99% of the most well known punk bands.
The fellas got some pipes, that's for sure.

We were lucky enough to have them here last night in St Augustine. The entire amphitheater was smiling as we rocked out to the vocal stylings of Mr Spike Slawson. They are just the best.

Damn... Absurd dat je elkaar dan toch niet ziet. Ik zat nog in de zaal te kijken of je misschien in de mosh pit stond lol! Nou ja, je bent in ieder geval dan niet de "Zoo Fucker" ;) Was wel lekker hard ja... Die bass drum ging dwars door je heen. Alleen jammer dat het niet de originele lineup was.
@@woodyamsterdam Die was aardig aan de beurt ja!! Mijn zoon ligt nog steeds in een deuk om de stagediver rond de 26ste minuut. Die ging met zijn snavel op het beton geloof ik.... maar idd bizar dat je elkaar net niet ziet

Shoot me... She's from Bad Cop Bad Cop. I know that the Gimmes change the lineup a lot but Joey Cape, Fat mike and Chris Shifflet are dearly missed... It was a good show but all substitutes including CJ, were clearly struggling. On the other hand Spike and Dave Raun were brilliant. His kick drum is a weapon of mass destruction lol!
@@woodyamsterdam Curious why you say they were struggling? They sound great in this video but maybe there were things that I'm not noticing
@@littleswedishboy Good question. As a guitar (and a bit bass player) I did notice that both Stacey Dee as well as CJ were playing only basic chords/notes opposed to the core members Joey Cape and Fat Mike (or Jay Bentley from Bad Religion) who lay down cool riffs in between. Maybe they were called in at short notice so they didn't had the time to rehearse long enough. Nonetheless it sounded great, it was just my personal observation.

I love seeing the Gimmes being appreciated, but dammit why cant we have the original lineup? Its just not the same without Mike, Chris/Scott, Joey, Spike and Dave

i miss these funny conversations between Spike and Mike and Joey and that cool smile of Chris while others are talking shit ! Spike is funny on this stage as usual but sounds a bit desperate :(
