I really don't know who this young gentleman is . I got amazed and spell bound the way he explained. His examples and explanations are like a pro and as if a very very experienced doc is speaking. I wish and pray he continue doing this good kind of services to mankind. The tips, pros and cons , exampkes are explained in a very very natural way which any laymen could understand and follow.
Thanks to you young gentleman. May God help you . You are a blessed kid.

Not only does this man know his subject but he is beyond a doubt a communicator extraordinaire. It's difficult to know if he's just a natural (a few are) or he's mastered the skill through study and much practice. The first time I listened to one of his videos, I truly was blown away. There are very few effective communicators "out there" and I just wish that he would broaden his subject matter to include a host of other things. I find that there are so many videos produced by a wide range of people who simply like to hear themselves talk. Can you imagine RUclips having a cadre of people with superior speaking skills all under one umbrella.. Their audiences could save so much time and learn a good deal without having to weed through extraneous matter or poor sentence structure which makes the subject difficult to understand.
Whatever this young man plans to do career wise, he will be extraordinarily successful. What he's already accomplished at his age today should be something I hope he is proud of already. As you can see from all the comments he's received to date, this guy is "a hit"!!!!

I ordered and tried several of your recommendations: zcoil, the altra, feelgrounds, and the vibram five finger cvt leather shoes. The Vibram five finger CVT leather shoes totally changed my life. Suddenly my foot pain was 80% gone and I had lots more energy. Walking was fun instead of painful and dreadful. The shoes make me want to do things, whereas before I was always looking for an excuse to sit down. (48 years were like this, my feet have hurt since birth and I'm 48). Before, my feet would always hurt after walking for an hour or so and then stopping and remaining standing, they would just hurt hurt hurt and I would have to go home sit down for a few hours or wait until the next day for them not to ache on the bottom all over. It really influenced the course of my entire life quite negatively. I thought it was normal.
I wear the Vibram five finger leather on concrete around the city. I know you recommended against that, but I live in Tokyo and everything everywhere is concrete, so no choice. Its been 4 days since I bought them and my foot pain is 80% gone. I have been doing the toe spreading thing for two weeks, however after a few hours my toes start to hurt so I can only use them a few hours at a time at home when sitting or sleeping. I know from going to a foot doctor that my arches collapse in when I walk- I imagine, as you said, that this is because my whole life, shoes have been forcing my toes together so I dont have enough shock absorbtion and my arches collapse. So it makes perfect sense the the vibrams would work. I also do calf stretches before I know I will walk a lot (but that isn't the game changer, I've done those before and it didn't help).
I wear the vibrams with no socks and they feel sooooo good. I went to a shop that sells only vibrams and they made sure I got the perfect fitting ones. They said you should have a little bit of space in the toes but not too much. I ordered online prior to that and my size was off by a factor of two (44 instead of 42), so the sizing is very very tricky. Even if these wear out quickly, its worth whatever the price is to be able to walk without pain. THANKS SO MUCH WILL! You are the only guy who steering me in the right direction and I've read PLENTY on this and been to foot doctor, etc. He had me wearing custom arch supports, using a tennis ball, etc etc, none of it worked at all.

During summer, Nike Air Monarch IV shoes feel best. When it is colder, Timberland Boondocks feel the best. I've been recovering about a year since I suddenly injured both planar ligaments. The Timberlands do allow me to walk about twice as far as the Nike's. I do use the insoles that my podiatrist gave me and they are tons better than an $85 set of orthopedics I bought at the mall.

Thanks for the series of clips on plantar treatment. You have given much food for thought. This was the first clip that I watched and was initially hesitant. Would be interesting to know your credentials. Not to be patronizing or demeaning. I thought I was listening to a 16 year old, yet, your wording was so articulate using physiology terms that I kept listening. You are a good man for sharing. Thanks.

What works for me is Columbia or Merrill hiking shoes and dr Scholl's inserts from the machine at the pharmacy. The initial investment was $150 but the return on investment was worth it . As soon as my center of gravity moved from the heels to the balls of my feet the pain was gone. The foot pain store wanted $600 for a "system" for plantar fascia. Now I'm out of the inserts and continue with the hikers.

+Dante Cifuentes I have been on this evolution for a couple of years and don't remember the low top model I started with, they started at $60 and we're discontinued and replaced with $100 models. That being said what sells the footwear is my center of gravity changing from my heel to the ball of my foot as soon as I tried them on.

Nice video!!!! Also if your shoe has that extra shoelace hole you should look up the video of how to use that extra shoelace hole and lace your shoes like that and use that , it does really help your shoe to not slip around your ankle it's very good for me and I have plantar fasciitis ever since I found out about it I've been doing that it's a very good thing to do but you have to lace it correctly!!!!

Good vid, I have had Plantar Fasciitis for almost 16 months now
It’s gotten better now. But does flair up from time to time.
I have wide high arched feet
    11 2E
I found with the help of dr and shoe store. That the NB 880v8 with orthotic inserts helps me the most. I tried the NB 990 but the heal to toe drop I couldn’t handle . So they recommended me the NB 880v8. And for the first time. I can actually feel my toes spreading out and absorbing the the weight when I am walking or jogging.

Crocks are the only shoe that give me relief, unfortunately they’re not very stylish or protective. So this is great advice for finding a shoe that you can actually wear for work. Otherwise, crocks, I even wear a pair in the shower, sometimes stepping on that hard shower pan really hurts. So the crocks help for sure.

I suppose the easiest and quickest way of finding near enough to that type of shoe, is to choose a good quality safety shoe, it will have the heel support and will have the carbon or steel bottom built into the sole of shoe.
I was in agnoy until I put on a pair of skeechers Comfort fit safety boots, now I'm walking with little to know pain.

Gab a shoe longitudinally and TORQUE the shoe. If it flexes through the rearfoot and sole, it is far too flexible for you. Look for built up heel cup and additional support along the medial heel sup side. This can be done with a rubber of higher density.

Question. I have flat and wide feet. Any “forced” arch supports or orthotics cause extreme pain. Nurse, female 35 years. Ortho doc says reconstructive surgery of bones in my feet! 60 years old and no way am I dumb enough to do that! I followed your wrench vid last night and it is like a miracle!! I also have atop the foot extensor tendonitis across top of my same foot! The only shoe I wear is minimalist xero shoes which has no support. Spent like a grand on athletic shoes I can’t wear. Any ideas?? Thanks!

What do you think about Hokas? I got a pair for the reason that the extra cushion felt good to stop my heel pain along with a orthotic to prove support. I have been wearing it for a little less than 2 weeks and so far it is helping but is it good for the long term?

Awesome! Yes I like the wrench the most as well. And yes you can wear an orthotic in those. Just need to find a shoe that has enough room. Altras are pretty great for this.
