Going to try that saying... PLAY UP!!! I have several guys around me who talk like they want to Play up. But never show for BP sessions, jog in games, and do not want to put the time in. I know I am playing up as much as I can. I bp at least once if not twice a week, and surprise surprise, I am competing for the best avg on our team with another guy who I BP with. We lead our team by a lot but we are here to COMPETE. I hate seeing the talk and no action. Maybe that phrase will have more impact? Currently I have a negative phrase I tell myself and need to stop..."There are softball players, and then there are guys who want to play softball" Want to get this moved over to a more positive motivator. Does hurt and it is a hard blow to take, when you see a player who could be SO MUCH MORE with just so little of a change and time spent on the sport they claim they LOVE. As always Thank you so much for the information, time, and good vids. This year your channel has helped me get through the BS i see where I am and I am really going after my performance so that when people are around they maybe notice the work and time I have put in and maybe I get called up next year or asked to play in bigger tournaments in the area. Proof is in the actions taken, not the talk :)
@Jekkzur01 at the end of the day, it is a hobby. But if we like something we want to do our best and see how good we can do. I will say don't get caught up in the level you're playing at. Every level should be fun and centered around the people. If you're good enough, you will find your way up. The worst thing is getting to where you think you wanted to be and realize it's not what you thought. So have fun on the way and don't miss out on where you are currently.
@johnharrison3086 gonna have to be up to you. If the pitcher has walked alot and is struggling then maybe not, but if you feel like he has been getting some good pitches on you then hit the one you like first
@@hittingwiththenation Great answer, I'm one of those folks that preach "yellow light" for 3-1 if you trust your hands and get your pitch hit that Thang. Love all the interaction bro
Love the videos with different conference players. Hearing everyone's differences in approach and technique is invaluable
I would love to see you and average dude Softball do a video together
Like the line concept for where Matt meets the ball. Going to try that. Great session guys!
You ask great questions

Hitting the ball out in front is key ...
At what level do you hit that 3-1 strike though? All levels or at lower levels are you less likely make that recommendation
