Loving watching your channel it’s the only one I watch because you are so awesome at explaining every detail and I have learned so so much so thank you
My husband got me a weaving loom for my birthday last Wednesday and I've been binge watching your videos to get started. You're so much fun to watch and follow with instructions! Definitely going to try the cute little ghosts for Halloween once I get better at it ❤
Hi Jenell! I have a free little art gallery in Vancouver, BC and often pop free art supplies in there. As a weaver, I like to share cardboard looms with a bit of yarn in the gallery and the inclusion of a little note directing them to your RUclips channel. I have a new batch of looms going out next week and I'll be sure to tag you on the socials. Thank you very much for all that you share and for showing the playfulness of weaving.
Hey! I love what you do and thanks for sharing, this is a great idea. I love using Roving. One question I have for you was, do you ever do vertical sumak? I saw someone use it once, I am very curious about it.
Just came across your you tube channel and its excellent, could I ask please where in the UK can I get the frame and the needle and yard for practising these stitches your teaching? Thanks so much.
No! Merino wool roving is not washable (the only time you'd "wash" it is during the dyeing process). Check out this video for how to clean a weaving: ruclips.net/video/GHonOajXoOI/видео.htmlsi=jBb_nMz94lgRjKK1
Yep it’s plain weave, but as Maria said it’s more the technique that makes it look like a quilt. I also found once off the loom it shrinks up a fair amount really giving it the texture of a quilt.
Love this! Those colors are amazing what size roving was this? Also, the names of the colors are confusing to me! 😂 was that really a sage green? It looks chartreuse on my screen and that pink looked like tangerine. I’m intrigued 😆

Thank you so much, that's so kind 😊
Love your presentation! Perfect amount of explanation y perfect length!
I'm so glad that you show your thought process along the way. It really helps me to learn about conceptualizing my work better. Thank you.
I'm so glad! 😊
Agreed!
BRILLIANT!!!!
Simple design can say a lot. Lovely weave.
Thank you!

I've asked for a loom for Christmas and I'm pre-binging now 😂
I can’t wait to try this technique! Thanks so much for sharing x
You are so welcome!
So cute! I’ve been making landscapes and I feel like adding twining around the features like this will make life much easier in the future 😅
Totally! That structure can really help 👌
Game changer. So easy. So cute!
Thank you so much!
I’m a huge fan- you’ve taught me how to weave over the years and I just love this!! ❤
Thank you! 😊
Loving this. Have to get some roving yarn and try this. Thanks.

I love this! Thank you so much for sharing our channel, it means a lot!! 😊
What microphone do you use for your recording? And lighting is good too. I subscribed. Thanks so much for teaching your techniques.
Love this ❤
Thank you!

Do you think this would work on a large scale? Like 3 feet wide? I dont see why not, but just want to make sure I'm not missing anything major!

You can shop our products at spruceandlinen.com, we ship to the UK 😊
If we want our weaves to be washable later, should we wash the fibers before weaving so that if they are going to shrink, they shrink before weaving?

I am sooo new at this and am doing a tartan bookmark, but why is my warp colors not showing through. Do I double them up?
Here’s a tutorial we made on weaving tartan: ruclips.net/video/7ejIQPRgTUg/видео.html
رائع ❤❤
Are you able to do anything with your leftover roving pieces, or is that just considered waste material?
They could definitely be saved and used for something like needle felting 😊
I think I’m missing what the new stitch is. Isn’t this just tabby separated by twining?
I think it's less a new stitch and more a technique with the stitch that makes for a really quick weave.

Ah! That makes sense. I thought maybe the wrong video had been uploaded.

What about edges?
