- Hello and welcome to a beautiful Bank Holiday Saturday at Alnmouth Railway Station. The birds are singing, the sun is shining, the passengers are merry, so what could possibly go wrong?
Well today the bobby working Alnmouth Signal Box, which controls the line between Acklington in the south and Lucker in the north, is really going to earn their money.
Let’s see how the day unfolds.
Filmed on 25th May 2024.

A very interesting and well produced video. Thanks.
Glad you found it worthwhile viewing. Thanks for dropping by.
Am curious what the "curve radius" is.. In Japan all lines after the first tokyo-osaka everything > 3,600 metres curve radius = > 180mph as minimum speed
I''ve measured it for you. Curve is 620 metres radius at its most extreme. See image: ibb.co/42H2qcL
