  • Hey guys, we're starting a Kickstarter to gather some funds to improve Soulash before the 1.0 release coming next year with graphics mod and Steam release.
    Our goal is to gather additional funds that will allow us to add extra animations for the entities like campfires, or NPCs and make the world feel even more alive. But we didn't stop there.
    We've added extra tiers and stretch goals that will enable players to directly tell us what they want to see in the game - your own race, profession, ability, miniboss, or even a location designed by you, we will make it. With enough interest, we also plan to add big features often requested over the years, like building to allow us to create our palaces, temples, and dungeons where we will reside and rule from. AI servants that will do our bidding, as it's totally beneath us to craft or gather resources. Or even a sandbox mode, where the whole world will be fully procedurally generated with different factions that you can manipulate and engage in other ways than combat. All of this is within reach with your help!

      Thanks! We hope to get it even better with animations for static entities, like campfires. Should get even more life into the game.

      @@wizardsofthecode7923 I know its been a while, I am working on some big things myself but in my career rather than here you RUclips, once everything pans out I do plan on returning in some form or another!
      But this is about you and my congratulations this was a great trailer, and I will whole heartedly support your continued development.

    Played the demo a little, and i feel like it would be much better if the "looking around" action could be done with just a mouse, like hovering around your character. Also, if it can be made into a free action, then it would be even better, since wasting 1/2 of your turn just to look around is kinda meh (Also, it's kinda cloggy if you are moving through a terrain, where there are a lot of obstacles, like forest. In that case you just keep bumping into them, without the abillity to quickly avoid them). Apart from that, the game is a take of fresh air, since there is litteraly only a couple of games like that, that don't require some insane keybind memory (And those that just look like @). So yeah, the graphics update really made the game very pretty, and much more enjoyable. Hopefull for a soon release, so keep up the good work!

      Thanks for the great feedback. I plan to add multiple control sets after the 0.7 patch, one of them will likely be mouse-related. The rotation takes 30% of a turn, it was done like this on purpose, as it can sometimes add to the tension when you're being chased and you might not know what is chasing you. I once run away from a rabbit because I saw a blinking red approaching when I was low on health. ;)

    The gfxs look great! If only your game had the possibility for mouse (only) controls :( This wasd + rotation system is unplayable for my strain injuries QQ

      Thanks, I'll look for a way to make it work with just a mouse. It might be possible to move by click and rotate by holding one of the buttons. Everything else already has clickable buttons I think.

    Hey just asking. Is it possible to blend into other humans when you are a human? Or is it not possible? Cause I just keep getting chased down...

      Right now it's not possible, even when you take the mortal body you're recognized due to unnatural characteristics, and you're expected to come as the doom of the world.
      There is a concept of factions far into the future that may come to the game, which would address this, allow for other types of interactions than killing. It was one of the Kickstarter stretch goals.
