- Former Green Berets and CIA contractors Evan Hafer and Mike Glover embark on a wild journey through, critical incidents involving law enforcement, what rewilding is and how it changed them, and the whys behind the concealed carry choices these two combat veterans make and how they think about preparedness and defense.
The duo breaks down an incident with an Ohio State Trooper and the misuse of police dogs, plus what goes into training animals for combat-related jobs. They also share a raw reflection on society’s obsessions with smartphones and social media along with the importance of self-care and unplugging, which leads to a great conversation about rewilding - an experience that allowed Hafer and Glover to reconnect with nature and reset their minds.
Plus, there’s a deep existential convo about soap and the shape of said soap, and finally an answer to which is better, the SIG P365 XL or the OG P365.

Love when these 2 get together, wish this was a weekly pod
Hell ya
The absolute bluntness that you guys talk about stuff is very much appreciated. Thank you for demonstrating freedom of speech.
Soap 0:10 is shaped the way that it is because when you used to make soap in the old days it was always lye soap which is made by running water through wood fire ashes which gets you the "lye" and then mixing it with cooked lard then letting it cool and thus is usually done in a baking pan then cut into bars so I's assume it kept that shape through the years
Mike is absolutely correct about "prior exposure to stress" being more important when it comes to responding to emergencies than having been trained on that specific thing. I've rarely used any of the specific training I received over my 34 years in uniform in a civilian setting, nor do I really expect to. But my military experience absolutely shapes my response to any sort of adversity or emergency situation.
Mike’s comments of chasing the tail by being distracted while there’s other things going on, is exactly how I describe that stuff too. “Look up here, while I do some devious crap down there..”
Evan’s Glock 365 must be dope
Super dope
LMAO!!! I just caught that as well. What the hell?
We did alot of camping growing up due to brother being in Boy Scouts and they had family camping times in various places not sure what they do now but was good survival experience
Love what y’all are talking about, love listening to your mindset and how y’all think. We need more of that, we need more of these kinda messages. More people to think for themselves, and self aide and then buddy aide.
Hey Evan! Can you go over your daily running gear? Like holster for your gun, pak to run to work, what you carry in the pack...
If Instructor Earl was selling Tactical Cylindrical Soap...... I would totally buy that shit! Take my money!
Man I wish I lived near these guys. I’d love to work for them. Is literally work for free until they hired me on.
Excellent getting priorities straight
Life would be so much better for people if they didn’t wake up and immediately spread hate on others. The fact that you can completely try to degrade someone for one small blemish astonishes me.
It's called Military Humor. It's not for everyone.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it.
That's a CHOICE people make. EVERYDAY.
Hey I get the humor I do. I fucking love it but we can all tell when someone is truly jealous of others.
True, however, trying to sue good people because of individual failures, will never get my support. BRCC is great in my opinion. Anyone who hates on them, clearly falls short!
I would like to see this new “Glock 365” model that you speak of. Lol
It sounds sick !
Geez guys, Just bought my first road bike yesterday. Just loaded it for return. Typing this as I drive over to bike shop to swap it out for a down hill instead. Wish me luck 🍀 🤙😂
I know exactly who Mike is talking about who was in the chopper with Gordon and Shugart, really cool dude on social media.
I'm an old lady, but a HUGE patriot! Love your show!
Hear ya about the motorcycles and dangers of th road. I'm rebuilt from the waist down out of titanium and got the medical boot from the Army because of some touch hole not paying attention. Shit sucks..
My wife caught me texting while we were on the Harley using both hands, that was the first and last time I ever did that!😂 She will never let me live that down.
lmao I do the same thing when driving Mike. Always watchin these fools on their phones!
Rocking Louis L'amour on the shelf. Nice.
soaps are bars because you can just make a giant batch and then cut it to shape.
I wish you guys would explain the acronym's that you use for us civilians
The last american survival course was called the great depression. That was the last time period in america that brought the populous back to basic needs.
“I look around and judge”. Hahahaha. I do the same thing, Mike. Kids 100% change how you act.
My pelvis broke in 3 or 4 places. Along with a lot of other bones.
PLS INTERVIEW JOHNNY GLENN. Awesome episode from The Green Beret Chronicles.
Their gun talk confused me. Mike has a XMacro with a XL upper? And Evan has a 365 in Glock form lol
LoL
the grip is xl not the upper. the upper is normal 365 size not the xl. xl slide is longer than the grip module
@@shawnmardell yes it is. About an inch longer. I have the xl. I’m told the slides are interchangeable. On the “updated” model. Not sure though. I haven’t tried it yet
The x macro has the same length slide as the xl, but it is ported from the factory.
Maybe that’s what he meant.
@@seansmith3852 I was thinking of getting an XL upper for my macro see if there is even a difference. Got mine before the tacop came out.
I get it though just BSing with a friend and them seeing it and explaining it doesn’t always add up.
"There's case law that prevents us from using dogs as deadly weapons."
Have the dogs read the case law? I doubt it. That's why they have human handlers who are supposed to make those decisions. The dogs just do what they're told, for the most part. They aren't going to object when you tell them to attack a suspect who's clearly not resisting.
McCarty guitar pickups are shaped like a bar of soap, hence the common name “soap bar pickup.”
My very first car accident was in 1998. A driver 2 cars back rear ended the car behind me, and drove them into me at a red light. Dude was on a car mounted cellular phone 🤬
I love that hat, Evan.
Evan, when you get some time, lets do some bass fishin
I could listen to these 2 guys talk abt anything
I think you guys should have a beard contest. No shave November .
And the others that have them have to shave and start fresh.
Who ever wins gets to donate $1000 to charity of choice .
They go so far out of their way to carry a 17 round compensated gun with a red dot instead of just carrying a full-size fighting pistol that has the exact same footprint
Anyone have a link to the nut ruck?
I don’t use the bar of soap in my crack, I use the suds that I accumulate in my hands first.
Come on, guys. Y’all are supposed to be Tier 1.
Amateurs.
Isn't the 365 known for malfunctioning and firing on it's own? I heard from a friend, so I could be wrong. Or maybe they fixed the issue. Someone let me know your thoughts. As I really like the 365 and want a few different configurations.
The P320 is the Sig more known for what you indicated. The P365 had striker issues shortly after its initial release. Those have been resolved.
@@Tr1ple3yep, I bought a365 after they fixed the striker issue. Put a couple thousand rounds through it now and absolutely no issues.
What is the sight he is using on his carry?
That is what a lot of cops problem is. They think they are some kind of operator and all they really are is a metermaid.
Lol you two and bars lol 😂
Brad Hauling 💪🏼🤩🤯🤯🤩🤩 30th Anniversary BHD
Glock 365? Is that coming out next year?
What happened to Andy?
Wow 😲
What's the fanny pack? You said it was the best but I don't think said what it was. I'm in the market.
👍🏻
I thought this not long ago as far as physical fitness and cognitive clarity is concerned .. the weekend warrior pickleball player at the gym is probably in the 80-90th percentile of preparedness and resilience in our country. Because 80-90% of people don't do ANYTHING to challenge themselves. That's a conservative estimate most likely. It's pathetic.
Opening scene brown splatter in an uncomfortable way spraying over an innocent object, slow pan out with sound of gun fire without revealing what is making the splatter, close up of sipping coffee extremely cinematic with visible steam, interrupted by preferably nasal voice "hey uh thanks again for inviting me out here", other person drinking coffee makes slurp sounds sucks teeth an let's out a sigh of enjoyment trust me bro I wouldn't want to shoot the shit with anybody else but damn this coffee is delicious whered you get it, Evans speal about brcc appears. Huge caliber round is heard firing to which they switch focus back to there target quickly and surprised to see (insert RUclips personality here) firing a gun nick named heavy shit at the now revealed literal pile of shit being suspended over some familiar looking lesser brands of coffee to which all 3 people now are shooting the shit over coffee.brcc is an all American veteran owned an operated company. An we too love shooting the shit over some coffee
Mike Glover, you, Andy Stumpf, and Evan Hafer rock. You all have clean shaven face. You all look handsome.
😂 some people's forms of entertainment.
Bought some black rifle coffee in pigeon forge last week. Really is good coffee. Better than that cartel coffee, Folger$ I think, GenChem. I never heard of a patriotic sicario.
Bead of body wash in boot for a reason. Bar of soap in the first week of boot and I would have just walked and never looked back. Done bending over for work after MEP'S, part of my old resume. Tier 1 right out of MEPS. I was sure I found my calling. Check. Gentleman, thank you for your service.
Fugitve And His Associates
No Laws....huh....
Maybe let's not call it a glock 365 if you don't want people giving you sh*t about not totally being 2A
“Mike wasn’t even in CAG”. Well I guess that discredits everything else he did.
The obvious response to that is "Were you?"
I’ve never served in the military at any capacity and I try too look up to some of these guys for actual life advice and it sucks when people are so jealous that have to discredit someone just so they can get others to not look up to them also.
@@Radicalfreedom227 it’s prolly the Russians. This is what they do. Create division and sow mistrust
👍solid.
Entire podcast is dead fucking on it.
Most of society is idle and in danger 100% of the time but clueless.
Basic concepts not basic to most.
Yeah, the whole square bar of soap/buttcrack thing is kinda cringeworthy, but the coffee is dope. Thanks for the backstory on Black Rifle Coffee... good drinking.
i farted

Get sued 😂😂😂

Mike never passed CAG OTC. He just plays it off like he does for marketing purposes.
You’ve said this twice. You must be CAG? Must be somebody special. What’s your story?
@@The_Red_Off_Road Just stating facts. Your not being attacked. So please dont be offended.
@@johnkamot3237 not offended. I was just curious as to how you became an expert at marketing and CAG. I’m not an expert at either and figured I could learn something.
@@The_Red_Off_Road Reread your 1st comment, you felt as if you were being attacked and offended. Which you were not. I also got my bachelors in marketing at University of Washington and have been in the "game" for 7 years post service. Although i would never call myself an expert. As for the CAG comment i made you just have to read between the lines and the fact that he never mentions that he actually passed OTC.
What "game" are you talking about?
23.44 hasn't touched his face or sniffled until answering that question. Texting and driving.
