I have been singing the praise of Fierce rifles since they first came out and I bought a couple of them for my sons years ago🙌 best gun in their price range, I might know since I have owned all the others being a 60+ year gun collector and owning hundreds of fine rifles over the years.

In all fairness the Howa is a great rifle in its price range and would make a great hunting rifle!

My vanguard weather guard bronze 308 literally shoots every ammo brand and weight into 1inch or better I've put in it . I've put so many grain weights and brands n bullet styles through it. Everything shoots well. Never seen a rifle in my life that shoots everything super well. This thing is a hummer

For the money in general. The Weatherby Vanguard is the best rifle for the money I know of, with the Howa 1500 a very close 2nd.

@@currituck agreed. I am super happy w the fit n finish. Super accurate. Built the old school way with hammer forged receiver, that has an actual recoil lug. Kinda similar to the mauser98 recoil lug. hammer forged barrel 💪 yea it's just everything a hunter could ask for in my opinion

@currituck The Vanguard & HOWA are the exact same rifle made in the same factory. Only difference is the bolt shroud. Both are superb, budget rifles.

@@donwyoming1936 actually there not. Yes it's the same barrel n receiver. But the tolerances are tighter for the ones for weatherby, and the assembly ,cerakote ,hand work is all done by weatherby in there Wyoming factory. The howa 1500 are rough n gritty. Sound like a zipper when ya run the bolt. The vanguards are smooth as silk. They feel like diff rifles one vs the other. Vanguard being superior! Even though they started life the same basically.

Hard to beat the HOWA. Budget rifle renowned for being sub MOA. I've been hunting with 308 Win HOWA since the mid 90s. Delivers way above its pay grade.

Can get a howa barreled action for $600 shipped put a better trigger on it and throw it in a decent chassis you have a serious shooter $1200-1500. I’m on the fence on my first long range build looking at Howas or a Bergara. Or a Kauger action and carbonsix barrel. Idk I’m ranting now

Both are sweet shooters with the right ammo. Sadly neither one are available in left hand. Fierce at least offers a lefty, but in the CT Rogue and most likely is built to order. No one keeps them on the rack.

Sorry bud but the howa / vanguard have a m-16 style extractor. Not a sako extractor. Just want you to know for next time , 😉

Here's something every rifle builder or manufacturer has yet to answer when I ask. The question I have is, when you have an MOA guarantee or half MOA guarantee, WHEN DOES THAT KICK IN???? Am I supposed to take a box of ammo to the range, shoot the whole box, and if 3 shots out of 20 go into half MOA is that it? Or is the manufacturer saying every time you go to the range with quality ammo every single 3 shot group will be MOA or half MOA? I'd really really like to know the answer to this because if the guarantee is that the rifle will group 3 shots into whatever group size is guaranteed and only do it one time or even twice during the life of the rifle, the guarantee is useless. If it's a blanket guarantee inferring that the rifle will do it no matter what brand quality ammo you put through it and everything is in proper working order, then I have yet to run into any rifle that satisfies that guarantee, from Tikka to Sako to custom builds where the builder has that guarantee and I know one guy who is a top tier builder that offers 1/2MOA with his builds with factory ammo as long as all components are of very good quality. Ex. using a Tikka action, a cut-rifled barrel from a well know brand, and a Stocky's stock, he guaranteed it. I'll have to reach out to him and ask if he means every time it's fired or what.

A moa guarantee is basically marketing bs

Isn't the Fierce about double the price of the Howa?
