Lyrics:
Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again
You get nothing for nothing: expect it when
You're backseat driving, and your hands ain't on the wheel
It's easy to go along with the crowd
And find later on that your say ain't allowed
Oh that's the way to find what you've been missing
So I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall
You can hang in a left or hang in a right
The choice it is yours to do as you might
The road is open wide to place your bidding
Now, wherever you turn, wherever you go
If you get it wrong, at least you can know
There's miles and miles to put it back together
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall
On the highway! On the highway!
Making a curve or taking the strain
On the decline, or out on the wain
Oh everybody breaks down sooner or later
We'll put it to rights, we'll square up and mend
Back on your feet to take the next bend
You weather every storm that's coming atcha
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothin' to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
Yes, I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I got nothing to lose at all
There is no better duo then Glenn Tipton and kk downing not only do they play fucking amazing look at their stage moves outfits ect it's all perfect looking
Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are only duo that come close to Glen and KK
The original PRIEST. This guitar duo cannot be beat. I saw them for the 1st time on this tour. AMAZING!!!
This song made me a life-long Judas Priest fanatic. The instant that I saw the video on MTV way back in 1981, I knew that this band was my favorite!
MTV gave me regular access to The Priest and Maiden.., all the way out in Honolulu! Early to mid 80’s, best!
Yeah yeah!!!!!! They played it on CHRISTMAS RIGHT???
Dude!! Hell yaaa
One of the greatest driving songs ever. This is the Priest that I always remember -- and I saw them on this tour.
that's what I thought!!
Maiden opened.
@@michaelangelucci384 in their proper place....at the feet of JP
The entire Point of Entry album sounds twice as good in the car, not sure why
It's great that Judas Priest is still going strong. I'm 62 now, but was 20 when I first saw them in concert, opening for none other than REO Speedwagon. That was in 1977 and was Judas Priest's first American tour. We had heard of them, but really weren't that familiar with their music. All I can say is that I bet REO Speedwagon was more cautious about who they toured with after that. Judas Priest was touring on the 'Sad Wings of Destiny' album and they were nuclear. They blew us all away and REO should have just gone home. After that set, we were just looking at each other, exhausted, going, " Shit! That was damn awesome!" I caught Judas Priest two more times before 1980, and between Black Sabbath and Priest, was a witness to the birth of METAL
I am going to show my age here. I was at that show in Memphis.
you were lucky to see that. you're more metal than any of us. that was true.
I saw them in Greenville, SC. This was their best show of the 4 times I saw them.
It must have been like watching a goddamn atomic bomb simply epic
NO NEED TO WORRY or FEEL UNEASY! I'm 49 and got into rock/metal when I was 8 (thanks to a band called KISS!), and, TO THIS (VERY) DAY, I'm, STILL, listening to it!
I missed it in NY :(
This song needs to be played more live
This song always heal everything.
Agreed
still heal everything? **))
Yes!!!!
@@ПанурТевтонський-д8й So fucking YEEEEESSS!!!
I was 4th row at the concert....i miss the 80's....someone build a time machine dammit!!
I still live in memphis...
When heavy metal ruled the world..I'd give up ALL my material possessions to go back to the "REAL" metal years! I even miss the hair metal..DOESN'T MATTER ,IT WAS THE 80'S!
I, TOO, "kept a watchful eye" on the '80s rock/metal scene! Whether it was Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Stryper (remember them?), or Slayer or Obituary, I "ATE IT ALL UP!" In fact, I'm 49 got into rock/metal when I was 8 (thanks to a band called KISS!), and, TO THIS VERY DAY, I'm, STILL, listening to it!
This should be my country's national anthem!...He He!
Hahahhaaaa... ;)
There's just two words that adequately describe this: FUCK YEAH!!!
Jim Kayser FUCK YEH
BMF, 61 years old. Don't have a cell phone stuck in my face. Watch the sunrise and set. Hope some of the youth can c through the darkness. Wish all the best 👍. JP. . Kicked ass every time I saw them. Hope to see them again .
I used to hate this song when I had this on DVD, and then one day the riff came to my mind and I was not able to forget it, I had this tune as my ringtone for a couple years xp
When I hear the term 'Classic Priest', it can mean a few periods, but THIS is the #1 Classic Priest era - 'Screaming for Vengeance', at least in the US. And, Ripper Owens does a superb version also.
IMO when I think of Classic Priest, it's always 1979 to 1984
Thanks for posting Man.. I'm reliving 8th grade .. time flys by but
Metal will always remain .
Damn this song always had so much soul!!!
One of the greatest heavy metal bands all time. I love the bluesy edge in Glen Tipton's playing. I think real live albums should be raw and not polished in post-production. Call me mad but I prefer muddy sound the sterile sound they're making today.
you're not mad thats how it should be
Hahahhahaaa.... Your mad, but me to ;)
@@EngstromIDE ... He is mad.... Hahahhaaa... ;)
KK’s solos were always bluesy and funky.
@@atlg8or6137 I disagree, its very classical in its composition.-
The metal gods \m/
The concert has been compared to a Panzer blitzkrieg. Relentless and deafening.
the kings!
I am 56 years old and ive enjoyed these guys since their beginning. their cords aren't complicated really , they just really lay it down heavy on those 16 marshal amps.
As cool as it looks, 16 Marshalls are not on, few even have speakers in them.
Yep and though the "chords" in this song aren't complicated, one's in others are quite difficult
chris whitehead It’s the solos and dual leads that can get quite challenging, their riffs were never too complex but they always kicked ass!
The chords may not be complex, but K.K and Glen as soloists are shredders extraordinaire. What a duo!
Such an underrated Priest song
Rob hits that note so well. But my favorite is when he screams out Bloodstone!
The drummer is so hard as rock! He knows how to do real heavy drums !!!
That would be Dave Holland Himself on drums!!! Ahhhh, the good-old days, Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden, the three best bands any metalhead would want playing on their car deck with the amp cranked up all the way to 11!!! 10 ain't loud enough for US!!!
I will be 52 years old this coming May 19th, I LIVED for this generation of music, grew up listening to it in high school, as I attended the notorious Erik And Joan Erikson Center from Rocktober 1982-June 1984 (and with the one and only Cindy Margolis as one of my classmates at that!!!), graduated from there and pissing off more than a few people in the process!!!
Fuck fake auto-tuned music, especially that homogenized over-hyped girly-pop shit they play/cram down our throats on 102.7 KIIS-FM (in Los Angeles I hated/still hate that station as they would NEVER play metal even if it did become a hit, in which most metal songs did back then!!!) and other stations like it!!! #BoycottFakeMusic #FuckKIISFM #FuckKISSFM #Metal #RealMusic #FuckJustinBieber #FuckOneDirection #FuckKellyClarkson #FuckiHeartRadio
Judas Priest/Motley Crue/Iron Maiden > Justin Bieber/One Direction/Kelly Clarkson...... KNEEL BEFORE THE ALTAR OF METAL!!! ......OR FUCKIN' DIE!!!
Man, I have to say that I got your words mine. Keep it metal!!! The true warriors!
Best Priest drummer imho was Les Binks.
@@KnEpH131 I agree, and the second best is their drummer for Sin After Sin. But Dave Holland and Scott Travis are pretty good too
@@larsulrich7569 Yea Simon Phillips was great but he was only a session musician for the album, but if he ended up also as live drummer that would have been amazing to watch and hear. of course TOTO was where he was at, so wasnt a chance he would do heavy metal.
I played Bass , and was a Fan of Judas Priest for some years . I think Dave Holland on Drum's Kicked tail . not over flashy but talented and solid for the band .
He had his moments. His set always sounded excellent
Dave holland did 8 years in prison for raping a 17 boy he was teaching drums to. Only tail he got near.
@@johnbalducci1502 Think he died last year.
Very solid and steady, never heard him make a mistake!
@@johnbalducci1502 Pleaded not guilty, sounds like he may have been innocent too!
They make the rest look like they are doing it wrong. I have totally gotten back into this band AGAIN in my life.
Robs vocals are in their prime here! He was literally “Screaming for Vengeance!”
this song was queued up for when I left the driveway of my x woman's home in buffalo heading to Florida. quit my dead end job, dead end woman, dead end everything. I took a chance before I fell, nothing to lose. I made it happen, the stress was immense, but I made it happen.
I was at that show in Birmingham
The cackling he does as he improvises with "I got the rage," is so dope.
Fucking best Priest song of the 80's ? I LOVE THIS SONG
Crank this live cut while driving a car that WILL DO 200 MPH!!! ya get 2 flavor of goose bumps!!
live on, rock on !
Braulio Gutierrez ।

Rob Halford what a LEGEND !!
When Memphis brought good shows instead of cardi b and that past melone
For real bro!
I have this on VHS somewhere, recorded right off MTV one Saturday night.
Its only recently I've read & seen pictures that the Marshall stacks are props.
One of the greatest songs ever written! Long live the greatest to ever do it the metal gods judas priest!🤘🏽🖤
I love this band so much
I just learned the whole song of living after midnight and now im on to this song. Priest kicks ass🤘🤘
Point en entry songs are much better live on stage! Same with sad wings of destiny (i've always regretted they don't play "dreamer deiciver")
mi grupo favorito.tuve la suerte de verlo.inolvidable.no creo.que esto.vielva a suceder.
Like being run down by a velvet Panzer. You know you're being crushed to death, but you can't get enough. Priest 4EVER
the previous illegal uploads didn't compensate for the low mike on Halford when he sings the first chorus. this legal one does, but at a hyper level so that we get every sound at the expense of the backup singers. But if I had heard this one first from the start I am sure we would love it. Rob is that good.
Priest metal rules forever!!
Greatest heavy metal band ever. Robs voice is untouchable.
2:28 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Judas Priest Rocked The Mid South Coliseum that night like Never Before!!!!
de esas formas de agarrar vuelo en dos ruedas es un hinmo . hasta que ya no rugan mas
Imagine these guys playing your birthday party when you were 12!
The Trinity....Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.....forget the rest!
What about Manowar, Motörhead and Dio?
@@StaticYonder That's Tier II.
@@jameskolak4017 Motörhead is more Tier I than Sabbath and Maiden
Unholy Trinity of Prime Metal,Priest,Motörhead and Sabbath with Dio
The chorus riff is so heavy, it pierces any financial prick, any economy, any bullshit here and there. Put your double roller skates, 80's are back! And it's good.
priest.has.so.much.awesome.footage!

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them May 11 1984 n they were the greatest heavy metal band I ever heard. They are the METAL GODS!!
Well I've said it before and I'll say it again.....\m/
I love u baby
miles and miles to put it back together
JUDAS PRIEST ♥️❤️
I don't know if beautiful is the appropriate word but I think so.
this is one of Priest's numbers where Halford lays some fine push-you-forward lyrics. That's the Judas Priest I know.
Fuckin incredible
1:12-1:20 a fucking metal god for reals
God has blessed me with gifts, Amen

Priest Gold.
Great workout tune. I can do anything when I hear this song.
song changed my life. saw this tour in greensboro nc - i was 14. been going my own way since then. true story. god bless my parents for hanging on.
One of the Priest tracks that sounds better live.
What a song!!! Many years ago i realize this version alive has no guitar solos 😮😮😮, Judas forever 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Props to Ian Hill aka The Pendulum (my nickname for him). Not only does he swing back and forth, but he locks in the rhythm as well as the tonic for the guys to riff over.
His abilities are way beyond what he does for Priest but thats the sign of a great musician he knows exactly what he needs to do in their music and he does it perfectly
I feel like taking my car, blast Judas Priest, Ride it in the wind, head to the highway and Break the Law
Ian Hill…bangin it out…METAL😍💪
I was at that tour 82 phoenix az i was 14
Amazing Singer!!!
Fuck this is the best!

What a great song
Brilliant possibly the ultimate metal album and tour
I was 17 and did follow spot for them in Biloxi Mississippi
Muscle cars and HD forever.
Great song great video as well love this one!!!!
Peel the fuck out when this comes on..
A lot of those Marshall stacks aren't even turned "on" and theres no cable in their input jack .....wish i had 20 Marshall stacks to use as props ... especially old vintage Marshalls like those .
Adoro. Aquelas. Pulseiras. Punks
Awesome !!! Long Live Judas Priest!
Esa es musica muy macha cantada por un machisimo señor homosexual.
I was at the Madison Square Garden show. 🤘🔥
My country is -1. But i feel good. He threw out THAT's a plus? The cat in the hat knows a lot about THAT
