I've worked with MVUSD for 18 years. RSP for 15 yrs and SPED for 3yrs. Protocol, accountability, education, safety, and mental health. Each one goes hand in hand, there needs to be consequences to for supporting our students and protecting ourselves.
Welcome new superintendent to MVUSD I pray 🙏🏽 for change for the better of all our students in MVUSD. Please be vigilant ❤ our children need and deserve better. The current Culture in MVUSD is not striving it needs to be changed for the Better
We need better support for our special need students. I personally have 2 special need students and feel like the schools are not properly equipped to help students with special needs or understand students with special needs. I have not felt fully supported within this district but I continue to advocate for my kids. Please bring more to the special needs!
We can all go to the meetings the board of education has every month it takes place in the Moreno Valley Unified School Distrcit building and let them know all our concerns they have a time where all public comments are welcome. You just have to be there on time and fill out a form so they can give you a few minutes to go to the front and speak in front of all the board members and our new superintendent will be there The more parents go the better but a lot of us complain we need this we need that and we never dedicate 2 hours a month to go to the board meetings . Hope to see you all there on the next meeting

My son did not attend the graduation. The teachers they have in place was not qualified to aid his special need. Most important the principle back the teachers up. I will be filing a complaint at the school this. They had no plans or a vision in place to help him succeed. The saddest day of our lives on top of that graduation fell on his birthday. We had a backyard graduation to continue encourage. These teachers should held accountable. They just let the student sit and there class sleep or utilize there phone being they decided not to continue to encourage or help them. What will you do to change this. Why they take our tax dollars and we still have to educate our kids our self.. This is not far is there higher source I can take this problem to.
This comment is weird. You hold no accountability for the student's behavior. Why would the student sleep in class, why are they using their phone? The rules are for them not to use the phone in class and there is an expectation of engagement in the class. Why is it the teacher's responsibility to wake a student from a nap or have them not use the phone? The student is blatantly disregarding the rules and obviously is not there to learn. Learning is the choice of the student, they have to have some responsibility in their education. Additionally, parents should be as forthright in making sure their student is behaving in a manner that is conducive to learning. Sounds like a lack of accountability on the student's part.
The MVUSD culture is trash. Don't build upon it, REBUILD IT. I do not like the fact this district is turning into a mexican district though. I think that's the real reason our last superintendent was pushed out! They are reconquesting everything smh lmao

We need more support for the special needs students. Also, the security system in place needs to ve better so that our kids are protected.
I hope your bring more focus to our IEP students. Currently the district is more focus on making our buses EV, than actually helping our IEP students.
