I have a large house with a new combi gas system. It takes a while to get hot water to distant areas of the house. If we install one of these under the kitchen sink, will it just use this until the hot water from the boiler gets there? I guess I'm asking if you can use it as a supplement to our existing system?

I actually came here trying to learn more about mini tank POU water heaters. I noticed that Bosch makes a mini POU that is very affordable. It seems like it may be "too good to be true."

Does anyone make an under sink POU that draws from the hot (not cold) water source? I have a capable whole house POU but it takes 1.5 minutes to get to the kitchen sink/dishwasher. Looking for a unit to fill that 1.5 minute gap.

A bit late, but you can simply get a hot water line into the cold water inlet. Water heaters can handle it, and it helps the water heater not work so much. Good luck

Thanks for the rely. I ended up buying a Bosch Tronic 3000T 2.5 gallon tank and love it. It supplements instant hot water until my whole house heater can catch up. @@mariogutierrez2965

why can't we use 2 medium POU tankless when a house has 2 main outlets in a house? Kitchen and laundry on one and of the house and showers on the other.

You actually should be able to connect two individual units as the pressure can be maxed out in one if too many things happen to be connected to it.

@@PEXUniverse I was thinking of 2 POUs functioning independently. The kitchen and laundry is about 45 feet away from the 2 bathrooms. For me it doesn’t make sense for them to be linked at all. The shower end should have the bigger POU but the kitchen end can get a medium sized one. What do you think? I just question the whole idea of a single water heater system, tankless or otherwise.
