Excellent Paul, nice to see you and David DL1DN have made contact both using the same telescopic whip antenna. Great to come across your video today as I have been building David's sanitary antenna from his homebrew instructional video. Hope to have it finished tomorrow. 73 M0DAD DAVID
Excellent audio. You can edit out the first part of video! Don’t you fear breaking off that connector on the radio? Seems like a lot of stress on it. Good luck!
I got the DL1DN antenna and having a blast with it, using it with the Albrecht radio, it's really cool to be able to make contacts with such a modest setup. I have an FT-818 on the way for some proper QRP fun.
Hi Paul I was building this type of antenna but did not get any success. Iam using a loading coil and a 1 meter whip antenna. Can you pls advise what will be the Inductance needed of the Loading Coil at the bottom to make this work for a 20M and say on 40M. Pls advise also the Ideal lenght of the Whip antenna needed Thanks & 73s Gaurav VU3OSA INDIA
I have to say, from listening to many radios that 6100 has a high noise floor, it sounds very harsh and my 891 is much quieter sounding. It would be interesting, Paul if you had an FT-817/818 to test alongside the 6100. Even my Albrecht AE2990 sounds a lot quieter than the 6100, noisy audio seems to be a thing with a lot of SDRs.
Hello Paul ... excellent video At 1:01:00 connected the DC cable battery power cable, can you tell what cable it is? Where did you buy it? I'm waiting for my Xiegu X6100 to arrive, as well as the antenna I bought from Daniel this week Many thanks for sharing / 73 CR7BDO
Great video, but you and other filmmakers who even do a QSO while standing actually also have a logbook, Lotw, eQSL, QRZ, etc. I'm always happy when I find a confirmed QSO. Just remember a confirmed QRP QSO is a valid QSO?

Why is it sanitary? are other antennas unsanitary? 🧐
It was fun to ear me from your location 73 de F5GEB !
Interesting... looks like something I would try... no QRP equipment, but some portable.

Thank you! This DC cable I think was included in the package with radio 😉
@@OM0ET yes it is ... meanwhile I downloaded the manual and by reading page 9 I conclude that the cable comes with the radio ... thanks / 73

Hi sir
What a time consuming presentation, unbelieveable!
That's because it was a livestream
C'est bien mais la restitution BF n'est pas bonne, je préfère mon FT 817. 73 de Gérard de Paris F5MOX qrp aussi.
Not excellent, sorry. Time consuming..Why not testing from home...
