King J Leather yes, Suede probably, Aluminum and other metals? Not a chance. The laser would bounce off the metal onto the walls and such. I have one of these and was able to engrave something into leather
@@chevyracings10 No. not unless there’s something darker under the plastic that the laser won’t reflect off of. You’d be better off using a CNC machine or even a jigsaw for plastics

I bought the same machine yesterday on eBay, from KKMoon, for engraving my Logo and DOM direct to workpieces. I've found videos where people have been unhappy, with erratic results and inop machines. I'm feeling more assured now and can't wait to get my machine, (should arrive tomorrow).
I cannot send the picture to the machine? I dont have the the "arrow down or up button" to send it to the machine. When i hold the center button on the machine it starts to make something else. Is there a newer software? What am i doing wrong?

I’ve had this engraver for awhile and randomly it won’t connect to my computer now. Keeps saying I need to format the drive but if I do so it’ll delete everything on it including the software to run the machine
Cnc idea. Make or buy small vacuum pump. And use vacuum on special table to hold any items. Without tape. We have large cncs at work and they hold using vacuum

Thanks! I’m glad you liked it. From what I’ve seen the alignment dot is a very low power laser beam and I suspect it’s not harmful. But why would you risk it? I put my glasses on before I power on the machine. Mistakes happen and the consequences to your eyes are way too big to work without glasses.
@@MBcreates I just received the same machine and I've been very careful (I set up a camera and watch it on a TV Monitor on the other side of the garage with my back to the engraver) and have also put pieces of foam on either side to keep the light in. The reason I ask, is I had inititally turned on the engraver and the light dot comes on right away, which i certainly looked at the dot on the bench, and also when I focused lens. (I had assumed it was low power) I have no symptoms, I just wish these things were more clearly obvious from the packaging and instructions. Your video is great. I am a cameraman by trade and always appreciate youtoubers who take the time to frame shots and tell a story though their pictures rather than wobbly cell phone footage and talking over the top. Great work :)

What you should do is cover up the sides of the machine that are open. Even if it is with something removable.
