I bought 100 shares of Tesla after watching this documentary in 2012. Love it. I have accumulated another 400 shares so far. My first 100 shares were purchased at $35 a share. The next 400 shares were purchased at an average of $87 per share. People need to keep buying Tesla, make it a very profitable company and increase both its share values and prices. It is my retirement.

Wrong, Musk has fooled the world
Electric cars aren't environment friendly do some research they are actually just as bad as gas powered vehicles. And it creates even longer lasting toxic waste plus the grid can't support it yet where do you think all that electricity is coming from? Rare earth materials become even more scarce.

The production of Electric cars is worse then petrol cars but after 5300 miles on coal powered electricity they break even and after that they produce way less fumes. This is because Electric motors are 8x more efficient due to producing less sound and heat energy. Also petrol cars use more electricity then Electric cars due to the process of petrol using a lot of electricity combined with the fact that 70% is lost when used by a petrol car while only 10% is lost through power lines then the battery then the motor. And what if we use 100% renewables? Then Electric cars look even cleaner! Oh and that Electric car C02 emissions doesn't take into account battery's that were recycled (Tesla recycles 100% of their batteries) and that they're about to reduce battery production emissions by 70% with the 4680 cells.

😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. @@pdk63 Got my Model S in 2015, people would regularly laugh at me about running out of batteries on the highway and Tesla bankruptcy leaving me with a brick. Who is laughing now? I am at 60k miles without any major repairs and driving like I stole it every day! Tesla stock is over 1k and the F9(self landing reusable stages)/Dragon delivered humans to the space station.

@Matthew Barrick You're absolutely right. To make a car like this requires considerably more energy and considerably more resources than a car with an internal combustion engine. Electric cars may have zero emissions at the point of use, but you have to rape the world to produce them. I originally bought into the idea and purchased a Tesla. Worst decision of my life, it was hopeless. Then I did some research into how these things are produced. I was truly horrified by the environmental impact they cause the planet. Want to preserve the Earth? Don't buy a Tesla.

South Africas gift to the USA. I still think basic science and maths education in USA is lacking. This is what is big in third world Countries...the only problem are the policymakers and to turn nascent ambitions such as Elon Musk's into dreams by major investment in Research and Development to solve all their problems .
I am ( regardless of the fact that Elon comes from a somewhat wealthier South African family) ...convinced there are many Elon Musk's in Africa.

Actually what this is is a documentary about an automobile startup and the trials and tribulations they went through to start production of the Tesla model S. This was shot back in 2011-2012 and production began on June 22, 2012 and the first ten cars were delivered to their owners. At this point Tesla had almost 3000 employees, Tesla today has over 50'000 employees. Giggafactory 1 is in Nevada, Gigafactory 2 is in Buffalo, NY.
Giggafactory 3 is in Shainghai, China.
Daimler just announced that they will no longer invest in ice engines and will from now on will develop only electric vehicles. The rest of the industry world wide will soon follow.
Tesla is leading the revolution in electrified transportation and most automotive engineers agree Tesla has a ten year lead on everybody else in building electric vehicles.

If gas was better then RC Hobby Shops would not be full of electric airplanes, electric helicopters, and electric cars, where nitro and gas engines used to be used... now often being replaced by electric multi-rotor aircraft anyone can fly. The main reason we still use gas cars is politics connected to money and oil... but even a greedy fool knows killing yourself over money is not a smart thing to do so now we see full scale cars (and gliders) going electric AND gaining performance no gas car can keep up with. An electric motor on each wheel with a smart hydraulic suspension system connected to a computer looking ahead can do some REALLY amazing things to avoid hitting another car including spins, rolls, and forward/backward flips.

Saw this documentary on release in 2012 went out and ordered a Model S. Got my Model S P 85 in 2014 found its so brilliant including the charging infrastructure figured this is the future, bought a load of Tesla shares. It was clearly obvious this was way better than clunky ICE I put in Solar and bought a Zero electric motorbike. When Im on the bike the car charges, when Im in the car the bike charges. Now 100,000 miles and 6 years later car is better and faster than when i bought it due to over the air updates, still such fun to drive, batteries are lasting for 500,000 miles service has been excellent on the odd occasion it was needed. Shares topped $1,200! Tesla is the most valuable car company in the world and the 25th most valuable in the world. Whats not to like at the same time saving the planet. Only car ill ever have is Tesla so plunked down a deposit on a Roadster. Shares paid for both many times over. I think we can say Elon and the Tesla crew you did what you said, there may yet be a future for our kids to enjoy.

Tesla has redesigned the model S and X in the last years ( 2019-2020 ) and the model S refresh is called the Raven. It has the latest design and moves like nothing you've ever driven. It's drivetrain has gone from 2 motors to 3 motors and drivetrains which will be available next year in 2019-2020.
I predict there will be a massive demand for the Raven model S. The Raven has a range of at least 370 miles and very likely much higher than that.
It's already beat the Porsche Taycan by 20 seconds on a timed test track in Germany. It will be interesting to see if it holds up.

You are confusing the Raven, which is already in sale, with the Plaid-edition, which is still a prototype.
The Raven is nice, don't get me wrong, but it still only has two motors. The difference from the older dual-motor Teslas is that the front motor in the Model S (and X) Raven is the newer and more efficient permanent magnet motor from the Model 3.
The Plaid-edition (name from the movie Spaceballs, pronounced 'PLAD') on the other hand, has three motors and beat Porsche Taycan on the Nürburgring. The Plaid-edition, which is based on a similar setup as will be found in Tesla Roadster 2, wont be publicly available in the Model S for quite some time yet.
Elon is not near as smart as Nicola Tesla but he has the juice to bring his ideas to the world. And, God bless him for doing so!

🌎 As long as people continue to see themselves as separate from everything else, they lend themselves to being completely enslaved. Success depends on how well we relate to everything around us. As long as there is the unnecessary differences within us; we can not live peacefully so we have to eliminate all the unnecessary differences among us so we can love all. People abilities may vary but not there true love. If we love a person/ God for a reason then we love the reason but not the person. No reason is the reason to love the person because true love never fails. So do not compare or measure the true love as first or the last but love all truly. If you love people truly then you can understand people. If you don't love then you don't understand people at all.

😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. In contrast; organised mainstream religions are claiming that they have the authorities to do God works as leaders so on. 3) God is not capable of doing wrong thing, change the past for us and create anything out of nothing for us. Nothing means not anything. So, even God is limited. The mainstream religious people believe that God is unlimited. 4) God wants us to take responsibilities for our righteousness life but not for all the consequences of our actions because they are continued to exist among us. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. The mainstream religious people are killing people and sacrificing animals in the name of God. They promote God's cruel punishments. The Punishment is endless for Sinners/Devil according to religious scriptures. But God is love always. Overcome hate with love. If all religions for peace, unity? No way. Because they are not for peace. 8) Well, The God gave us everything to go from moment to moment in our lives as we do our part and pray only to thank god then the Love is in progress. The Love is always for everyone. We are always worthy of the God's love. Our greatest fear is; not to be loved by anyone but we are all loved by someone. When we eliminate all our unnecessary differences among us then true peaceful life is possible with the true love. If we can't find the peace within ourselves then we will never find it anywhere else. 9) This is the Fight for independence and freedom of humanity to worship God freely without religious guide and guidelines to restrict us. The documentary slipped in a misconception, there are tiers to battery suppliers, auto specific batteries are tier 1 laptop batteries are tier 3. The quality required is much higher for auto batteries. They are not 'basically laptop batteries' just because they are cylindrical cells.
