I find Lorazepam is fairly easy to come off of. I have had a prescription now for over 20 years and use it as needed. I have gone for as long as 9 months taking it nearly everyday and when I decided to stop taking it regularly I had a couple days of feeling agitated and tension, but that went away. Exercise helped too..... Everyone is different and I know this was just my experience.
I guess I need patience....I want to come off of it right away but I can't. One day off of it and I'm shaking like a shiver that wont stop and I also will start having psychological issues as well.
I'm on a small dose of Lorazepam for dystonia in my feet and toes. It works very well and I'd be in agony without it. Nothing else works.I'm in my late 70's and am otherwise very healthy. Thank goodness my doctor understands that at my age the odds are that I'll be dead before any problems with a drug I've already been taking for 10 years. I don't drink alcohol or take any other addictive drug. My brain is perfectly functional, thank you.
I'm 60 on a small dose as well. Initially withdrawn from a over 6 mg. This was done in three weeks. I was very sick and homebound. I am thankful to be on a low dose and I do not abuse it.
Hello, dystonia in your toes and feet does that mean shaking and cramping in your legs and feet? My legs and feet are shaking and cramping now for 40 months.😢
I have cptsd and I have to take it just to go out or I have horrible attacks . I feel horrible taking it for two weeks . I then I go off it for two weeks
Is 0.2 half of 0.5? I have 1mg. and I take a half of it a day. (Break in half). I halve been breaking a half in half, so I think it’s 0.2. Not sure. So how do you taper off 0.2 to none?
Is there such a thing as being addicted to "no pain" eg Gabopentin(pain relief only) as opposed to being addicted to drugs that are used for pain relief but "highs" and "pleasure" at the same time ?
I was given this for 4 months Its been 12 weeks and been hell on fire. I wish i never ever took the lorazapam. You feel 100x worse coming of it than why you took it.
I don't believe the drugs dull your senses or "paint" you in anywsy. I doubt they increase or decrease ones skills. The problem is in the withdrawal period were a person becomes depersonalized and anxious.
I’m on day 19 from one year of 5 x 2.5 mg a day I only remember 3 weeks of the last year and even those three weeks are all in the wrong order. Also. Husband has gone from red beard and hair to white in that year. When did I marry Father Christmas?
I’ve been off Lorazapam for over 4 and a half years. I abused it for many years and was cold turkeyed. I am still suffering horrible debilitating symptoms. From what I’ve gathered I’m suffering from PAWS. Is there anything I can do to improve my quality of life as my brain heals. I still remain largely bedridden with horrible fatigue, head pressure, anxiety, depression, cognitive problems etc...It’s a very scary and frustrating thing being this far from my last dose and still being so sick. Thank you and thanks for video.
Keto diet apparently helps, also push yourself to get up early and go for long slow walks. Keep as active as you can during the day to help with the sleep issues. Drink lots of water and try finding a vege/fruit supplent powder you can mix with water. Stay away from alcohol, for your head pressure you can try very cold water. I used to dunk my head in the seawater from the jetty. Magnesium and taurine helped me also. I was cold turkeyed by my gp as well. Its been 2 years for me since my last Lorazepam. I thought i was gping to die everyday. Keep fighting through the pain, things will heal. Your gaba receptors were down regulated after you came off suddenly like me

Alex Ryngaert I take Ativan only when I feel I have too so that I’m not going to rush to the emergency every time this panic happens, it’s been a week now I didn’t take ativan and I’m feeling exhausted all day long ,but we’ll get back to normal soon 💕
@@marinalina6348 i was taken off of ativan and the withdrawals happened for maybe a week straight. it really sucked but now i’m put on different meds and they’re starting to help. i’m not on anything for anxiety though; but i feel better without it and i’m starting to heal from all the stuff i’ve been through. happy to say i’m at a normal weight now as well!
Look into Ashton manual in UK and the following is the information I picked up over the years. Fundamentals => takes your brain receptors 6 to 8 weeks to recover after a taper, therefore you should not taper more frequently than that. Taper at no more than 10% of your LAST dose, NOT your STARTING dose, therefore progressively reduced amounts. Take your time, in event of disturbing symptoms reduce the amount of taper dose from 10% to 5% or extend the taper interval I still see doctors/psychiatrists in the media misleading people about quick tapers, don’t believe it. May work in some cases but not a generalization depending on how long you’ve been on them and the dose level expect 1 year +.... Why rush especially if you’ve been on them for extended period of time.
