Elves need treats too! Elf Munch for Christmas Eve - Baking with Kids

Santa is so busy this year, he’s bringing extra elves to help with the holiday celebrations, which means, WE NEED ELF MUNCH! We can’t let these important helpers go hungry. Santa gets cookies, reindeer love carrots, and elves, well, they love Elf Munch! This kitchen project is so easy peasy any of your favorite bakers are sure to have a great time mixing up the fun!

Now, let’s make some cookies!
Here’s what you need:
-6 cups Rice Chex cereal
-1 cup chocolate chips
-1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
-1 cup dry brownie mix
-1 bag Christmas M&M's (family size)
-1 bag mini peanut butter cups
-1 bag of white chocolate chips
-2 cups pretzel twists
Here’s what you do:
-Place the cereal in a large bowl.
-In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.
-Microwave for 30 second intervals until melted; stir until smooth.
-Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and use a spatula to gently toss the cereal in the chocolate until completely coated. (It’s hot so be careful!)
-Place the brownie mix inside a resealable gallon sized plastic bag. Add the chocolate coated cereal. Seal, then shake until cereal is coated in the brownie mix.
-Spread the cereal out in a single layer on a sheet of parchment paper; place in the refrigerator to speed up the process of drying the chocolate back out.
-Once hardened, break any stuck pieces apart and put into the large mixing bowl.
-Add all of the remaining ingredients and mix!
