hey, thanks bro and sorry for late reply!
i'm using ableton with mostly kontakt instruments (keyscape for keys) and drum samples I've picked up along the way
there's standard compression and eq (some sidechained), and there's a few other midi mapped FX but the core sound is fairly basic.
the bonus non-avoidable challenge is using zero latency plugins 🙃

Yo this is crazy... I remember when I "discovered" you in the young days of the web, the early RUclips days. I was SO impressed! Not just as a music lover - since you were just covering gem after gem - but as musician who had just started, I was amazed at both your eclectic range, but most of all how you not only analyzed the songs, but managed to make it more than a cover, it felt personal. It's been like 15 years at least and I'm finally getting back into music and I still find myself going "huh, I wonder if Ortopilot did this". Coming back to see how insanely you've grown is inspiring. Thank you for all the positive energy you've sent out into the world my man, I'm glad II get to witness some of it.

Thanks mate! The foundation to looping is generally the first loop, get that right and everything else is so much easier. After that, I'd recommended have 2 different loops, one for verse and one for chorus, and practice going in between them.
