About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first RUclips channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
I have to thank you and RJ. I’m recovering from a hemorrhagic stroke. Watching every journey I realized is the most healing adventures I’ve ever followed! Continue to walk in peace.❤

Mikey, I use to stop drinking for three months and try it again but it was always the same result,depression and didn’t feel like eating so ur in the right path and just quit all together 🇨🇦👍

I was a crazy big party girl. Aussies drink and play but I learnt I like myself so much better , as I mature. I just had a switch , I love cocktails, bourbon, champagne, but learning to just have one , has been the most unexpected pride and honour that my brain selected for me - when you want to stop any self harm things , if it comes as a natural change it can result in a double prize of self esteem in trusting your own growth, nature and resolve .. that deep down your intrinsic insight will actually save or protect you , even as a default source like reducing toxic or excessive behaviour..

In terms of not feeling like yourself after having alcohol, I can relate. My theory is that our standards for living has grown so much that the baseline is much higher and alcohol brings that way down. That's how I feel anyway, which is why I don't do alcohol anymore :)
Alcohol alters your mood, it does when you’re under the influence of it but it can also give an affect afterwards. I rarely drink alcohol either and only when I feel really good and stable, if I feel the slightest bit insecure the alcohol can amplify that and push it into anxiety. :s
Just rest from vlogging if you need to Mikey. We will just wait for the upload. Btw, Great job on your AntsCanada channel too!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels this way after drinking. I get so down, the next couple of days, even if I only have 1 or 2. Everybody looks at me like I’m crazy when I explain why I don’t drink anymore.

It’s great to see ya’ll again. For me, not really drinking has been a total blessing! I’m sure that it has saved me during a period of being sick (a few years ago) so, I can totally agree with cutting down or completely not drinking. I find I can get the same “buzz” just by being happy and a little “crazy”, LOL. I do love some liquor in my chocolate truffles tho…
Tita Antionette seems super cool, I enjoy when she comes around. There’s nothing better that a kitchen full of die-lishus food that’s been cooking all day. I think I need that in my week… it’s gonna be rainy here on Thursday so I feel a “kitchen session” coming on…LOL.

I found your Ants Canada channel last fall after Animal Con, but only discovered your vlog a few weeks ago.
I have to say, fermentation is the best! I can’t eat normal pickles anymore! My favorite are fermented carrots and sauerkraut.
They have fermentation lids on Amazon, Masontops, are the best! Let’s the air pressure out without letting outside air in.
Clean Food Living on YT has great fermentation info, as well.

Mickey, I've never drank alcohol but many family members on my mother's side were alcoholics. I would say it is in your best interest to stop drinking, and I hear you are. The depressed like state you described is why some I knew would drink daily to suppress that depressed feeling. day after day. You're smart. Good for you to stop the madness!

i've hit 40, i also find the hangovers unberable, on a real go, a couple of glasses of wine and one gin and tonic. but usally just one glass of wine on birthdays ect.

I ferment my hot peppers to make sauces, lactobacillus for the win! I only use a 3% brine though. I also use the brine in the final sauce. I also use one way pots, so the CO2 can come out with the pressure but the oxygen cant go in, oxygen is the enemy of fermentation. I also made Kimchi a little while back in those same pots, so tastyyyy, definitely 5mabuhay stars!
I know what you mean, I had to quit hard liquor because back in the day blacking out waking up on top of a building in Baltimore like "How the heck did i fall asleep up here?" now i just stay with beer because i like to remember and smile and laugh and have fun. You make me smile mikey :)

That spread of food looks really scrumptious! And yeah the fresher kind of bagoong is pretty salty, that is why they are usually paired with sour foods like Santol or Unripe Mango, although they are also sometimes paired with unripe Saba Bananas. Bagoong is also a great ingredient for Pinakbet and the aptly-named Binagoongang Baboy. On my end, I also mix it in with Bicol Express to make it a lot more savory.
Also, the main reason why many people often feel depressed after drinking hard liquor is because alcohol is a depressant, disrupting the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain that affects feelings, thoughts, ans behavior.
It's so cute that Sahara likes being held like that. I wish my cat let me hold her that long, lol.

I understand u mikey about drinking alcohol. I also used to drink hard when i was younger. Until that day when me and my friends drink hard the next day i don’t have taste for food. I can’t cook right because i can’t taste anything, it just feels dry. After that i stop drinking alcohol but of course being maitigas ulo that i am evrytime theres a get together with friends i take a sip but not drinking alcohol as hard as before.

I love kare-kare. My husband loves it too but could only eat a little of it because he’s allergic to peanut. So I made it with Almond butter! Tastes the same!
