We visited Barcelona a few years ago, but unfortunately we didn't have time to make it to Sitges! It looks like we should plan a trip there soon. Those beaches look amazing :)

I subscribed to your channel but i do not see Ibiza. Has Ibiza gay scene dissolved after pandemic? it would be nice to hear updates on Ibiza gay scene. thanks for the informative video.
Thanks!! We’ve been to Ibiza before and must admit it wasn’t our favorite. We thought about giving it another chance this coming summer, but everything we read didn’t get us too excited about booking. Especially given the exorbitant costs for accommodation. So we have Madrid, Torremolinos, Gran Canaria, Barcelona and Sitges planned! Sitges is our hands down FAVORITE gay beach town in Spain! 🇪🇸 ❤️

It's going to help me tremendously in planning get away trip to Spain later this year. Would you guys also recommend Madrid? Since, I'm going way north of Madrid in (Barcelona and Stiges), I don't know if a weekend trip to Madrid is worth it.

Weekdays in Barcelona and then weekend in Sitges, or the reverse? Thank you so much for all your recommendations. I've used them for almost every trip in the past 4 years.
Awesome!! Sitges is only 40-mins from the Gayborhood in Barcelona so no worries!! Definitely weekend in Sitges!! We love both and you can’t go wrong with any split! Safe travels!!!
Thank you for replying. My friend and I got to know Jonathan, his mom and dad. 2020 was a horrible year for everyone so we had to cancel our trip that summer. Went back on 2021and saw him but he told me that the business was struggling. Went back on 2022 and my heart sank when I got to playa del muerto and the stand they had there and everything else was gone; like nothing was ever there. I was almost in tears. I will be back again this summer. Hope I can see him again. @@coriolan1963
For solo travelers, I would not recommend a 2 or 3 star hotel (except for 3 the star Parrots and Subur)). They do not allow visitors, not even during the day. Been going to Sitges solo for 10 years now, if you want to bring a newly acquired "friend" to your hotel room, better stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel (Calipolis top of the list). Better yet, rent through the gay version of Airbnb, Misterb&b
That is very, very odd. Sitges is very gay friendly. In the hotels I've been staying, since 2013 visitors were always allowed. Hotel Santa Maria, Hotel Sitges, Hotel Medium Renaixanca, Hotel 1883, just to mention some 3 star hotels I've stayed.. Prices have risen tremendously lately, so if you're on a budget MR.B&B might be an alternative.
We’ve not been in December, but we can say it’s family friendly. There are lots of beaches in town with families and kids. We have not seen kids on the gay nude beaches like Playa del Muerto for example, but again, the beaches in town are perfect!

There is a carnival every year before the beginning of Lent, which I understand is popular. There are also various festivals through the autumn and winter, such as a film festival and vintage car rally.
Sitges is also very nice in December, but in winter time you'll get more rainy days. I wouldn't bring children because there is little to do in beaches. Children love sand and water and swimming in the sea in wintertime is not recommendable.
I'm 18 and planning a trip with my bestie after I finish my exams. Did you get the impression there was a lot of young people in Sitges? It would be nice to make some friends there!
We’ve met plenty of guys in their 20s in Sitges, perhaps as many in Barcelona depending on the venue. Sitges is great tho for all ages! Very fun vibe and welcoming. Head to Playa del Muerto for sure and have happy hour at Parrots to meet people!
I don’t even like to ask this question, but do you feel safe in sitges, I assume so as you’ve not mentioned anything. It’s just I read about some hate crimes, which I can appreciate happen anywhere
100% we feel completely safe in Sitges. The town is so busy and compact can’t imagine anything like that happening unless super late at night. Not a concern we would have in Sitges.

Is sitges nice in December and wud u bring kids
We’ve not been in December, but we can say it’s family friendly. There are lots of beaches in town with families and kids. We have not seen kids on the gay nude beaches like Playa del Muerto for example, but again, the beaches in town are perfect!

Agreed! We were focusing on the kids aspect 😅 not December ! Thanks for catching that!!
