I have the 2009 sonic but he is not soft anymore i bought him so long ago but him shadow,tails,and soon werehog(i have him coming in the mail)are chilling in my room =)
I have both of them. My 2009 Sonic looks like 2011 Sonic but lighter. My new 2011 Sonic looks deformed. I remember when Books A Million had the 2011 Sonic, Classic Sonic, The Werehog, Tails, and Shadow. My brother got the classic Sonic and I got the 2011 Sonic. My brother left his Classic Sonic in a house we used to live in. My cat brought my Sonic and Shadow out and my dogs demolished my 2011 Sonic and ripped my Shadow plush. I had to get a new 2011 Sonic but my Shadow was repairable. My 2011 looks terrible compared to my original 2011 Sonic plush that was made right.
the 2011 sonic plush is the first sonic plush I got before I made my plush series! I liked it. But a year later, I had a picture of the 2009 one and I thought that one was better. So I'll go with the 2009 plush because it has better detail, a better smile, and better design. Even though the 2011 version was the first sonic plush I had.
Tbh I'm not a fan of these plushies. I've got the first series the lighter blue sonic in the same condition as yours, bought it from I guess what you'd call a yard sale/flee market? Only cost me 20p, about 40/50 cents. As for the mouth expression I like it on that one, gives it a more japanese look to him. I guess because these were made for the US market they were made in large batches so maybe quality control went out the window on some, but yeah each comes out differently and uniqley.
