The one thing that's always bothered me about the whole situation was the party getting shut down in the first place. Like it was the soul train party, I'm sure there was lots of security. How did the party get packed enough for the fire department to shut it down? Security knows capacity, so were there actually too many people?

Gene Deal said it himself that Big was terrified to walk in LA. He was either at the studio, hotel or radio station while Puff is partying and going to the movies. Shit was a set up
Big was going to leave Bad Boy once he was out of his contract. Just look at the moves he was making, he started his own clothing line (Brooklyn mint) and he had his own label (Undes records). He was going to bounce from Bad Boy and Puffy knew that. So would you let you top selling artist leave OR would you allow him to get killed in order to propel Bad Boys sells. It also was Puffy’s coming out party as an artist. The No Way Out album sold extremely well after Biggie’s death. Honestly I think PAC was going to do the same with Death Row. He was going to leave.

He's probably right too. I could just picture sitting in the crowd but the whole time knowing that there is something in the air and then seeing the mean mugs and the phones poppin. Whenever you live among the grimy shit you learn to pick up on it before something pops off and you're allotted a small window of time to remove yourself before it does. Whether getting out will save you from a beating, shooting, or clear your name if you are there and a mistake is made by the law and you get blamed. If you are alert enough to pick up on the BS and smart enough to listen to your own gut you have the short time to completely get tf out of Dodge. Completely on Puff, If Biggie had the protection he was suppose to have and Puff was protecting his biggest artist then his SUV would of been bulletproof. Suge also at fault for the loss of his biggest artist as well. 50 and Mobb Deep used to roll around with bulletproof vehicles. ReAL Talk. Biggest loss for the culture ever.
Suge's BMW WAS bulletproof. Find the photos of the windows rolled up on the car and You'll see where bullets hit the glass but didn't penetrate them. Like JFK, Tupac was shot INSIDE the car.
Armour piercing bullets were used in he Biggie hit, extremely rare ones aswell look it up. Definitely a planned hit and the west coast were not going to have this cat from NY strolling around with his entourage and not take some heat .. if only the driver would have skipped the light like gene said, maybe big would still be here. He was hit 4 times.. the last one was fatal. But puff knew and saved himself with big as the sacrificial lamb used to settle the score after Pac
The west coast cats who were too emotionally that they had to handle things with men’s life can forever go fuck themselves for wiping out two of the goats before they even had a chance to reach 25 and 26 respectively. Them gangbangers ruined a generation of music and many family’s for their ignorance.

Biggie should never went to Cali. They were mad that Pac got killed, and Last Kiss Goodnight was not a good look coming from Big. West Coast hated him for that song.
There was other things that transpired that we all do not know about. Like in Pac's song "Against all Odds" when he called out Puffy and said in a line "But you and I both know what is going on" - that cryptic line always stood out to me in that song, along with the line at the end of the song where he is telling Jimmy Henchmen that he's ready to go to war because he's got his money right. Then on Puffy's song "Victory" (1997) where Puffy is allegedly taunting Pac after he died. With all of the rumors of rappers being sacrificed so other rappers can thrive and gain stardom I would totally agree on that. I believe Snoop, Dre or both had something to do with Pac's death because they blew up even more after his death. I think Jay Z or Puffy had something to do with Biggie's death because Jay Z, Ja Rule and DMX were the next artists to be the face of NY and had careers that skyrocketed after the passing of Biggie. Then Puffy doing that stupid dancing at Biggie's funeral and not conveying any emotion at all, just like he didn't show any emotion at his ex-wife's funeral. I think Puffy couldn't let that blatant disrespect from Suge at the '95 Source Awards go. Suge dissed Puffy right in front of his face to everyone on national TV. To me, that would be a legit motive to seek some type of revenge or malice toward Suge. Even though Puffy was no gangster in any way, shape or form you have to wonder what type of pressure or buzz he was getting put in his ear from artists from his camp to retaliate. Like I said, there is way more to the East/ West beef that has yet come to light.
Tuck H5 naw he freestyled the song on live radio lol....biggie was ruthless....also probably the best diss song ever but no one talks about it because hey knew biggie was foul for dissing pac after he died....also outlawz replied the long kiss goodnight with “we know who killed big papa” lol

Big had nothing to do with the situation and lames like you still trying to throw shade. He spoke the truth he wasn't dissing anyone. Pac started that shit to sell records. The beef was between Puffy and Suge. Pac injected himself into the beef when he came to DeathRow...just like he injected himself in gang business that had nothing to do with him....which got him killed. He's probably right too. I could just picture sitting in the crowd but the whole time knowing that there is something in the air and then seeing the mean mugs and the phones poppin. Whether getting out will save you from a beating, shooting, or clear your name if you are there and a mistake is made by the law and you get blamed. If you are alert enough to pick up on the BS and smart enough to listen to your own gut you have the short time to completely get tf out of Dodge. Biggie should never went to Cali. They were mad that Pac got killed, and Last Kiss Goodnight was not a good look coming from Big. West Coast hated him for that song.
Song wasnt even out yet. Had nothing to do wit it. Ppl wanted to hurt them regardless

Still sad he gone 😢 hiphop, rap ,would never be what it is now 💔
Gene Deal is the truth. Like he said the” proof is in the puddin.” P Diddy set him up. There is nooooo way that they would’ve let any outsiders get that close to a hip hop millionaire like Biggie. Someone was working from the inside! Diddy knew that taking Biggie to LA 6 months after 2pacs death was an extreme risk but, he didn’t care. He was only worried about his pockets and not someone’s life! It’s truly hearts my heart that these 2 rap legends aren’t here with us anymore. RIP 2pac and Biggie!🙏🏽❤️
I’m from Brooklyn... I was young af and knew who biggie was. If you from anywhere you knew who biggie was and where he was from. This sounds weird too me. I from ENY also and big was playing everywhere. This doesn’t sit right with me...
i think the brother was implying he didn't know him on a personal level!!
Biggie got for 2 reasons bcuz tupac was killed and bcuz puffy knew he couldn't come back to cali until the west coast got revenge for Tupac's death/murder badboy absolutely had no business in cali but puffy was hellbent on becoming the star that biggie was already
I totally agree, but it seems the government had some involvement as well.
@@tooakki they did i mean it would seem as if it all was gang related but what people dont understand especially in Tupac's case is once he became a rap star and already having ties to the BPP he mother being a black woman who was a black panther who defended herself in court and won in 1972 once he became the star he was he also became a target especially with the platform and fanbase he had Tupac planned on creating his own political party which in his case would've been a real threat to the political infrastructure we have in America jus think AEOM sold 10 million copies in 1996 with no social media pac was a real absolute threat to white America and the politics in this country they followed tupac and biggie the last 2 months of both of their lives so with that being said they could've stopped everything that happened and that was the extent of their involvement I believe pac knew he was done whether it be gang related or assasination which was the latter imo he was our Malcolm X truth speaker the govt knew people young black and white Americans would follow biggie was collateral damage and puffy knew he couldn't come back out west until somebody paid for Tupac's death even suge was in over his head with this one yeah he had the money but for suge it was all about shitting on puffy who he had previous beef with before pac joined death row jus so happens now pac has beef with badboy the govt knew all of this and jus let them destroy themselves puffy was jus smart enough to join the other side unbeknownst to all parties involved even his biggest act B.I.G sad but true he's the last man standing thru it all everybody else either dead broke or locked up

@gary corr puff likes it up the batty
@gary corr but not the star that biggie was biggie was the 1st to start calling him p diddy and wrote most of his 1st album Big was helping puffy transition into the star he eventually became I lived in that era BIGGIE was the star puffy was the dancing CEO wearing shiny suits so you stop it😐
I will always appreciate a storyteller who was at the event. But he ain't saying nothing that I didn't already know. It's cool that he has a vivid memory if that night tho.
I lived right around the corner off of Orange Grove and Wilshire (right around from the P. museum) but I was out of town that weekend when it happened.
Homey is on point. I knew ppls that was at that party and everyone told me the same thing.
RIP BIG.
Excellent interview!!!
Shouldn’t have never came to Cali. Wrong move. RIP TUPAC
Yeah man, both 0f them should have never came to Cali. But the things people do for money!!
TRUE
@@sty723 2pac grew up in the west coast though. Biggie didn’t. It was a stupid move from Biggie going to the west coast 6 months after 2Pacs murder when the west coast/east coast beef was still fresh.
@@D93-w5q I hear ya, man. He was only out there because of his mom. My mom had me move multiple places too. Biggie was out there cuz it was in the plan, and he was trying to leave Diddy anyway. They both from NY though.
@@D93-w5q Tupac didnt grow up in the west he went over there he was about 17 18 years old.....Tupac grew up in BALTIMORE and was born in HARLEM. Smh
As I say on here alot...I'm from Jersey and I now live in LA I Can tell you first hand that it's not a matter of the West being more Gangsta than the East and Vice Versa...having lived on both Coasts I can tell you both are Equally Dangerous However...the Codes are very different...
Biggie/Puffy and Bad Boy just didn't understand the codes out here...
There is no way in the world can you ever be any where near "Enemy Territory" in LA if they feel like the beef is on...someone is 100% gonna get shot...their whole entire thought process out here is retaliation... period..it doesn't even matter if it's "false narrative"...if they think u even associated with someone who killed one of their homies..u gonna get fired on..Guaranteed...so Biggie and Puffy should have known better....it's been over 20 years and I still don't know what they was thinking when they came out here...
LA is very strong with their rules..
I will say that...they take their street codes extremely Serious out here...
I love BIG jus as much as anyone else especially being from the East Coast but they were just out of their minds being out here 6 months after Pac passed..it was jus too soon...they were jus crazy...🤦🏾♂️
You right about that and I never been to California. I think they didn't know how serious they took stuff out there especially when it's gangs involved in it. I've had people tell me it's a whole nother world out there and like you said California Street Rules way different than anywhere else. I don't think they shouldn't ever went back to California until 3 years or more but they didn't know how serious that beef was to them.
@@loso333 exactly...again in terms of violence there's just as much violence back East as it is out this way...its jus that Los Angeles is very structured in terms of their Gang Culture.. they've been dealing with it since the 60's... Puff and Big jus really underestimated what LA's response was gonna be AND it didn't help that they were hanging around with a rival Gang when they were coming out here...the whole time they were jus setting the stage for something really bad to happen...and it did.
@@wreckteamtex4460 dont forget Puffy right hand man Wolf killed one of Suge's close friends beforehand, then suge turned around and jumped a bab boy staff member and so on, the shit just reached a breaking point
@@peake864 that's a fact bro !!
As a south LA watts Compton native of Southern California thank u for honestly saying who we really here in LA I'VE MAJORITY OF FOLKS WHO COME 2 CALIFORNIA THINK EVERYBODY HERE IS RICH N LIVING IN BEVERLY HILLS NOT TRUE THANKS AGAIN RIP BIG RIP PAC RIP BIG L RIP JAM MASTER J RIP EAZY 🙏
imma say this, i will always believe puffy had something to do with both murders, if biggie is dead is because of something puff did pertaining tupac, i will always believe puff played a part which led to biggie's death as retaliation. the streets talk.
My man was just driving listening to going back to cali, smoking bud, getting ready for that after party and then BAM!!! the car is riddled with bullets and the parties over...The game is sick yo..
The police probably interviewed him for investigation. Maybe they were told not to share it for those reasons. I am wondering what he did to share this story (3 years ago). He must have been protected all those years. When the story broke out that Biggie was shot. There were no witnesses and everybody was quiet.. Now 20+ laters folks are coming up with their stories.
Glad he shared his story. I don't think Biggie had a choice but to do what he did at the time because he was still recovering from the accident. SMH He should never been forced by Puffy to go to LA that night. He was easy target because he couldn't move and he was already injured. :( This is such a sad story either way. RIP B.I.G
Biggie will always be the G.O.A.T. on my list! We'll always love Big Poppa. That East/West Coast beef was REAL and after Pac was killed, Diddy shouldn't have had that man go to Cali. Too soon. The Notorious B.I.G. 4EVA!
Puff was the Judas Thats Why
I think that there was no conspiracy... Biggie and Pac got involved in some street stuff when they were musician's... and it simply cost them their lives... the people involved knew exactly who shot Pac and Biggie. This was handled in the streets with 100's of gang murders as an aftermath.
I still say to this day that puffy set that man up. Cause he knew that they had beef out in Cali and told big u have to go there for the promotion of his album
"Yup and not having that sit down with Suge Knight to squash the EC/WC feud when he had the chance to made it three times worse, then of all places to promote that album you start in L.A., he had no business going out there to promote that album"
Did not only guilty making him go there
Simple pac died in a car why wouldn’t they get more security and bullet proof cars your on top of the rap game
He didn’t die in the car
Tae Cocky I was saying he got done in the car now I’ve been down with rap since late 80s my first thought in my head in 1997 when I heard big died was why wouldn’t they learn from 2pac and have there biggest star protected with a bullet proof 4wd especially when your in the west coast also I find it really strange Puffs car ran the red light bigs car stopped that’s part still bugs me till this day
BIGTYME PUNTER yeah it kinda makes puffy look grimey
Tae Cocky not really because he was in another car but Biggs driver man I don’t know why you would stop when your other boys run the lights you run the lights
BLACK BULL lol trust me I was born in the 70s he ain’t alive he was on top of the rap game he was about to become a movie star he was actually he wouldn’t just drop all that hard work and vanish they got him that night very sad day in rap 95 eazy e. 96 2pac 97 bigg
Wow that's the first I ever heard someone tell that story RIP Tupac and Biggie
Once you get that vibe it’s not a lie go with it
This bring the mystery to the light..we all no Big should not have been in L.A PERIOD but he decided to fly out .
His DECISION was made
Bottom line is IF I WAS BIGGIE ALREADY KNOWNING PUFFY IS A BITCH TYPE.. THEY WOULD NOT HAVE SHOT ME THAT NIGHT BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE STAYED THE FUCK N NY PERIOD
Its NOT just simply WHAT you do in this world but how it APPEARS. 🤔🤔1 Thessalonians 5:22
King James Version
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Biggie legs were broke & puff still got him there puff had no mercy
No Mercy & No Limit as well!!!
Puffy didn't force biggie there both agree, I think biggie acted gangster nothing gonna happen very sad
@Brooklyn Bully yr life is in yr own hand if u feel not safe why u let someone to convince u
Great story❤
I was there. Our crew (RNF/ Tracey Lee) was down with Bad Boy at the time. I walked out of the party with Big. We were talking about the next party. I almost got in his ride, but I hopped in the limo with Mark Pitts (Big’s manager and our label ByStorm CEO) and Tray. That day changed the course of history for a lot of people! RIP BIG
Who rode with p did it?
