The main factor is the fact that the artist/producer used his own isolated vocals but it also has to do with the ai's vocal range.
Most cartoon characters, especially ones in children's media, have high pitched voices with little to no range in terms of their screams, meaning that heavier ai covers will sound glitchy or even cause the ai to just give out entirely.
But Plankton isn't like that; his vocal range is more towards the deeper, more raspy scale and also Plankton does a lot, and I mean A LOT, of shouting and screaming in the show, this therefore means that the ai has more to sample/play around with and can thus handle screaming in songs.
This AI song has no reason to hit as much as it does. It has no business being so damn good! I need more emo plankton songs please!
