Even in my local language, when i am speaking to an alderly person i don't refer to as you(singular), i refer to us You(Plural)..
The Qura'n was revealed in Arabic therefore following the Arabic literature...
No Arab person will question about this simple language.
You don't question the Qura'n with your little knowledge of language and literature thinking what you are saying is correct.
