Tbf, it's not a popular part of the park as Sarah said in the video and Disneyland still has their tom Sawyer island (for now at least), but it still sucks because that's one of the original areas of the park. I honestly would rather have it be at Hollywood studios, but with that park getting monsters inc, idk where else Disney would put it in that park

Seeing everything announced not be a clone is one of the best announcements from this panel. Each park gets to show another large-scale possibility with these franchises while also getting their own high-quality unique draw.
The Spider-Man coaster is near clone of cosmic rewind, few differences such as backwards section 9n Spider-Man why cosmic doesn’t have one.
As for the Villians Land, they better go all out for this!! Meet & Greets, Heavily themed dark rides & thrills, immersive settings etc.

With a Universal Park coming to the UK in the foreseeable future and the competition with all those amazing independent parks in europe, like parc asterix, EuropaPark, Phantasialand or Efteling being just a short train ride away, Disney really needs to invest big into their Paris park if they want to stay on top of the food chain
I kinda agree, but Disney has one thing that the other parks don't. A marketing budget! You'll see ads for Disneyland Paris EVERYWHERE in Europe. I'm from Denmark myself, you'd have to drive for almost 2 days to go to Paris from here, and we usually never get ads for foreign theme parks here! Except for Disneyland Paris! And when Disneyland Paris ads appear they are everywhere, in high profile locations, in movie theaters, on the Metro stations, on primetime TV channels! The only other ads I've seen historically for foreign theme parks here have been for Heide park, and they're a fraction of the distance away that Disneyland Paris is!
Like Disneyland Paris' ads are continent wide! There are no ads around here for stuff like Europa Park, Efteling, Phantasialand, or even Energylandia! And nobody really knows of those parks, the only foreign parks that are somewhat known in popular culture here are Heide park, Hansa park, Liseberg, Disneyland Paris, the Walt Disney World parks, Universal Studios Orlando, and Six Flags Great Adventure.

@@imtired1696 Yup. That one six flags park is home to Kingda Ka, the world's tallest roller coaster, and it's proximity to New York city has made it a destination for many tourists and many foreigners perception of an American theme park.
Disney finally is building high-thrill attractions again. Hopefully the spiderman and villains coasters have inversions. I doubt the door factory coaster will have any.

I really hope they don't remove Muppet Vision 3-D because that was the last project that Jim Henson ever worked on. It's also the only one left since the one at DCA was replaced with Mickey's Philharmagic.
Disney has had Kuka arms before - Sum of All Thrills was a Kuka arm coaster simulator that used to be at Innovations at Epcot!

I think Disney really hit a home run with these announcements! The Tropical Americas make more sense to me than Zootopia at AK, it'll blend up really well with the other themed areas, and I appreciate that the land isn't IP based (even if it features IP based rides). Also really excited for the Monsters Inc coaster and the Villains land! I'm curious now about what they'll announce at D23 in Sao Paulo happening in November
I’m calling it now! Lion King ride will come to Animal Kingdom for 2028 for the 30th Anniversary!! So if that’s true hopefully we get an announcement April 22 2025!

Cars Land is meant to represent California car culture. It was designed as a non-IP land before they found out Pixar was making a movie created from that same theme.

Thanks for the updates! I've been a Disney World fan for a long while, but moved onto Universal in the past 10-15ish years due to the more adult themes and attractions... I'm glad Disney is coming around to improving on their philosophy of ideals to reach a modern audience in a space that reflects their core values! Let's hope it works out!
I would love to see them somehow integrate a new gen Vekoma Flying coaster with launches in the villains land with an immersive dark ride section before launching up and around the menacing rocks/ mountains and castles maybe themed to Maleficent with her wings! (If anyone could pull of this coaster type to the level of Phantasialand's version or beyond its Disney!)

I think in DCA the Marvel Attractions will be the first to break ground and open. I have to imagine they want it ready before the LA Olympics. I'm hoping Avatar will be in Disneyland Forward, especially if it's using the ride system from Shanghai Disneyland. The Coco attraction could go into the Hollywood Backlot area if they intend to re-theme the area to celebrate the So-Cal Mexican Heritage. But, it could be a part of Disneyland Forward. I think any development of the backlot will require the closure and renovation of the Monorail so that is a lot of infrastructure work.
I'll hold my breath while I wait for this to happen. Once bioreconstruct has pics I'll believe it. Whens the epic video?

A screamin swing, gyro swing, and maxi dance party 360. Villians. Titans. Legends. My thoughts about Disney (1997) were that there was not enough thrill. It took Velocicoaster for me to appreciate theming. Those three pendulums would be awesome in one themed land
Those announcements come right before our trip to WDW this fall, so we can make sure to visit what is possibly on its way out.
I'm excited about the Monsters Inc. section and more importantly, the door ride! I can't believe Disney sat on this concept for so long, if they want to use IP so bad, this one was an obvious choice.

13:46 This isn't actually the first time they've thought about bringing a suspended coaster into a Disney park. The first time was during the planning of Animal Kingdom and there was going to be a dragon themed suspended coaster in the unbuilt Beastly Kingdom.
Amazing breakdown. Was at d23 and it was buzzing with some news of new attractions. Disney needs to step up to compete with universal . I’m the same wasn’t a huge Disney guy , but have gotten more into all that is Disney
It is good to see Disney kicking it in so aggressively, likely to respond to Epic Universe. That being said, I’m bummed at how the original theming and lands appear to be taking a back seat.

@@MaxwellBarnett-br5ttwhich RMC did you ride that was rough? I’ve only ridden Wildcat’s Revenge, Wicked Cyclone, Twisted Timbers, Iron Gwazi, Lightning Rod, Steel Vengeance and Outlaw Run. Only Outlaw Run is vaguely rough, and that’s because of topper track. The other coasters that I’ve ridden with Topper Track sections are glass smooth in those sections.
Now by Vekoma smooth, don’t mean the hang n’ bangs or the SLC’s? The family invert at Carrowinds was pure torture.
I think its a new ride system for cars. Those are 4 seater atvs rather than cars. Look like it has more off roading type rough ride profile capabilities.
I agree though that cars will be weird here. I think they are gping for a co temporary nature exploration approach, for the REI/National park/outdoor world/bass pro shop crowd. Would be cool in grizzly peak. I get how having an all encompassing nature/otlutdoorsy theme umbrella makes sense, but I also dont, because everything else on that side of the park is transporting you back in time significantly. It seems a little too cartoonish based on the concept art too but tbd
@9:20 the land looks like its going into animation courtyard. Really fits the plaza shape. Hopefully the land takes some inspiration from shanghais zootopia land. And im glad they waited to build this because vekoma suspended family coaster's trains are more comfortable than ever.
I bet theyll announce a rise of the resistance clone for disneyland paris in 2 years. Unless they want to build a non-sci fi e ticket, like mickey and minnies or beauty and the beast. But it is really unclear what they need most, other than not another roller coaster.
Spider man tower of terror will be incredible and I wish we could get that at dca, but i am content w having guardians and our crappy spiderman ride given that we are getting 2 more marvel rides and a coco boat ride and an epic avatar land that could be the best ride at the resort.
Dca... thank god for this d23. They havent had a good ground up new attraction since 2012 and desperately needed all of this. The attraction ride systems are reliable, the ip appealing, and it all compliments what is already there and all the new additions well. Doubkes the parks e ticket offerings frankly, improves storytelling and land design overall. This park will absolutely be epic and finally live up to the name ADVENTURE. The parks lineup will cover so much ground and be lacking nothing. If thry built an inside out start tours style dark ride someday or brought monsters inc over, grear, but redundant. They will already have a flying theater, omnimover, dark rides, boat ride, e ticket boat ride, shooters, drop tower, emv dark ride, roller coaster, slot car dark ride, rapids, etc
Ill bet my life avatar is going in the empty parking lot west of pixar pier. Shoehorning a natural landscape like that into hollywoodland would be a mess and they would have to rip out existing assets, reroute the monorail, build a new entryway into the resort, etc. Better to save that area for monstropolis, zootopia, even coco. To properly fade lands , theyd have to demolish animation and hyperion as well. Just too much chaos when they could build a tunnel into the land from goofy sky school instead.
Lowkey glad disneyland isnt rushing expansion. They just got 3 new e tickets since 2020, and id rather they dont rush a frozen land in with a d ticket. Lets see how villains land turns out

A massive upside to Disneys investments compared to universal is Disney are getting attractions that appeal to a thrilling audience AND kid and family audience which is less what universal do. There is no normal family dark ride at epic universe so may not be best for kids but Disney has all the audiences

They can’t remove and replace it doesn’t add capacity. They need to put monsters coaster in the parking lot behind and keep the latter attractions. I wish they would come up with a customized train that resembles you hanging onto a door-suspended stand up coaster?!!! Tropical americas will need animal exhibits to stay with their mission statement but they show no animal exhibits. Comparing ride systems for avengers DCA, it looks like the kuka arm ride is beta testing for the earlier promised individual mission ride. Which leads me to guess that one of the Asia parks will get the original version

i was so excited when i heard about the lion king flume because i thought they were replacing the indiana jones ride in paris with it. whilst i'm sure it'll look great in the other park, that coaster was put there in 1992 as temporary filler (one of the many 'and then we ran out of money' moments disney experienced in the 90's). It's long past it's shelf life and massively overdue a replacement.
For Villains Land let’s put in a coaster similar to FLY
I'd bet money on Animation Courtyard, since that's got a bigger footprint than muppets area. Plus it'd give another connection to go from Toy Story Land to Sunset Blvd. In terms of the Mermaid show, I think the work on Monstropolis starts back to front so that should give some extended time and traffic to Mermaid

To be fair though, Paris never got a Splash mountain to begin with. Disneyland paris was built something like a decade after Splash mountains introduction in the other parks, and American execs had some kind of assumption against a logflume in the park because of the french weather being colder or something, despite the fact that European theme parks are full of waterrides like log flumes already.
To be technical, it’s Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge that’s so bad they aren’t bringing it to Paris. The original plan was to have Galaxy’s Edge where Pride Lands now is going

I’ve actually went on Radiator Springs Racers at DCA and it’s a super fun ride for the whole family. One of my fav thrills in any Disney park.
And yeah although imma miss TSI and Rivers of America, I haven’t seen much people on it last time I went to Magic Kingdom so that’s probably why they’re deciding to take it down.
The coaster in villains land should be a definitely be a new gen Vekoma. A shockwave style coaster with multiple launches, good airtime, at least one inversion, and a lot of theming would be amazing.
I totally agree with Taylor. I never thought I'd see something like a suspended coaster at Disney and I'm very excited for it! And I'm definitely with Sarah on Dino USA. I hated that whole area and this will be such an improvement.

Stark Flight Lab (the concept, NOT the actual theme) is what Disney should have done with The Sum of All Thrills after Hogsmeade opened in Orlando. Close almost everything else in Innoventions East and add 15 more KUKA arms.

Most people confuse Blue Sky As actual announcements. When they are just concepts. Nothing announced is Blue Sky, its all Horizons which actually get built!
All the new Walt Disney World announced attractions have my HYPED! Especially the Monsters Inc Land and The Villains Land. Even the announced attractions at the other worldwide parks I haven’t been to still have me hyped. All these new rides look and sound really fantastic, especially the ones going to Walt Disney World. All these new rides and lands sound very exciting and I’d LOVE to visit them someday and maybe return to Orlando for visit in the future. 👑💅
i saw the monsters inc coaster and saw of it as a mack inverted power coaster like arthur but maybe im wrong but i think that makes so much more sense aswell

Obviously, they've started to theme areas to Zootopia (which I love and hope they expand) and Avatar, but I'm really hoping they do something with Moana and Moana themed. That movie was so big and could easily have a land themed around it. I've also said they need a Lion King themed ride, mainly because of how integral Lion King is to Disney, and I'm so happy that they're finally doing it. I'm somewhat sad for Dino USA going, mainly because I enjoyed the vintage/retro childish dinosaur look, but I'm equally stoked to see the rides and areas get the re-themed. I'm still said about Dinosaur going, there's something nostalgic about that ride.
Disney, through their deal with Fox, are really sleeping on the opportunity to make an insanely cool Alien themed ride. I know they had a scene in the Great Film Ride that got replaced, but a dark ride themed to Alien would be super cool. They could even have it as just a seasonal retheme for an existing ride during Halloween.
Super excited for monsters inc land at Disneys Hollywood studios I hope it’s not that short of a ride and they really put their time and effort into the ride and land a lot of us have been waiting for this for a long time lol Also encanto, cars, and villains land all look amazing cannot wait for these 4 areas to be built out

The spikes in Villains land are the thorns from Sleeping Beauty. The area looks like Black Cauldron/Sleeping Beauty and I am living. Animation Courtyard makes sense for Monsters. There is a big space for Star Wars expansion behind it.
I don't even know what Hollywood Studios is at this point. It is becoming a DCA, just a dumping ground for IP.

Hollywood Studios was clearly meant at opening to be a view into the classic Hollywood and getting to enjoy the films we love, and now it’s us getting to explore the worlds of our beloved films. Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Star Wars, Muppets. All of that we get to explore

@@NMParksId consider Galaxy’s Edge to be very high quality. Some people don’t like Toy Story Land, which I understand, but I thought that was pretty awesome too. And I think Monsters Inc can be great as well. Yes, it’s moving away from the filmmaking theme and focusing more on themed lands of the beloved films themselves, which I think is a great idea

As a lifelong Disney fan, it makes sense for Disney to combat Dark Universe with a Villians land. Epic Universe will be Universal’s answer to Magic Kingdom and the only land that I have any vested interest in is Dark Universe. While I wish Disney stuck with beyond Big Thunder and a red rock Bryce Canyon look for Cars, I’m glad they are saving that area for Villians and further exploring the west with Cars.
Disney has teased us with Villians ever since the parking area has had Villians names. An entire park of Villians would be a little one-note. It’s going in the right home.
A new coaster makes some sense in this coaster crazy world and it would be nice to see how Disney flushes out the theme where Six Flags has always dropped the ball. But please for the love of coasters Disney, please give your new coaster a drop, (if that is what you’re building.) Enough of the swooping turns. Tron is really underwhelming using Big Thunder Mountains basic layout. We also have Kilimanjaro, Rock n’ Rollercoaster and Guardians all with swooping turns, curves and other sorts of near nauseousness. Give us a nice, surprising evil drop!
Now a dark, jump scare version of Haunted Mansion (or its own unique theme) is what Disney needs. Villians needs a dark ride!

18:43 I will point out that the animals shown in the concept art look like they're from the "live action" remake, which is apparently considered an animated movie because all of it is CGI. They also never said "1994 animated classic."

I think everyone has their guesses backwards. Coco makes more sense in the Hollywood Studios backlot. Using Spanish Colonial architecture to move from 1930’s LA to Cooc’s Mexico is a smoother transition then they could ever makes to Pandora. That leaves Pandora for the Disneyland Forward expansion plot where they won’t be limited by size.
Also once the Eastern Gateway Parking Garage get built I doubt it’ll have the pedestrian bring over harbor so the old bus loop will stay
