I had access to the presale which started at 11 for me and I made sure that I didn’t go ANYWHERE that morning, was sitting by my laptop by 10, checking and double checking my account information and payment method. I was STILL put into the 4 thousands for the queue but managed to get 2 tickets, it was scary how fast the tickets were going, as soon as I clicked on 2 to check they would disappear so I finally just grabbed 2 and clicked checkout right away…not even an hr later the tickets were sold out 😅
Brooo the sale opened while I was getting ready for work and it was so stressful😭 I was sitting on the floor in the back room of the shop stressing out with my credit card in hand while my coworkers were so confused 😭 I got the ticket tho!
really! what was the food like? im heading to nyc in jan after 10(!!!) years and want to try some nice places (money isnt too much of a problem since im coming all the way already but i do want to have nice food 🥹🥹)
@@SparkzMxzXZJust do the signature fried chicken feast, skip the golden nugget - literally felt like mcnuggets with caviar on top. The Chicken Liver Pate was really good as an appetizer. I can't say for any of the raw bar stuff, but I assume they are the same as what they serve at COTE so would personally just skip since you're there for the chicken
I just remembered that our table did order the tartare trio, it was alright but we all liked the Pate the best. Also avoid the tteokbokki, they were really disappointing, the tteokbokki at COTE bar is wayyyy better. Favorite sides were mac & cheese & fries
Having ate there a few months ago, i'll be brutally honest. It's overly hyped and the food is not good at all.. like at all. the chicken was so overly crunchy that it was just hard, like eating a rock. The flavor of the spicy wings (i mean what flavor) was just so lacking compared to any other korean fried chicken place that you can get anywhere. honestly, i would cancel the reservation and never look back. It was easily the worse meal of my entire trip. I cant believe I fought so hard to get my reservations.
I managed to snag a last-minute seat at the bar, and while the cocktails were fantastic, I found the food's flavor underwhelming and overpriced. The concept of pairing casual fried chicken with luxurious caviar is certainly novel, but the execution didn't justify the cost. For comparison, I also dined at Tonchin the same night, spending $83 at each place - Tonchin offered more unique and flavorful dishes that felt worth every penny.
do introduce us to more restaurants that needs competitive reservation bookings like this pls! I haven’t been to any restaurant like that but I’d like to find out and go try them someday.
After living in NYC for 3 years I can safely say this restaurant is a GIMMECK. The flavor profiles didn't give anything special. A lot of NYCs top restaurants are just for the ambiance and this is one.
I am very confused. You planned ahead but didn’t know that you couldn’t book for two that easily. You were confident about the Christmas Eve booking but then you mentioned that you’ve got reservation for a “different day when I am on New York”.
Cocodaq is super worth it. But honestly I did not know it was that hard? We just waited in line an hour before they opened and were seated at one of the long tables.
unfortunately it’s super overrated :/ the chicken tastes like any other korean fried chicken place, just with a fancier ambiance. you can walk in easily if you line up 15 mins before opening as well
Prob just another restaurant few celebs went and made it “famous” Pretty sure hype will be dead in few months just like everything else in the world It’s only “hottest” because “social media” said so
It’s very overrated. Went with a Beard nominated chef, famous for fried chicken, she also thought it was mediocre. Only the crudo and the cold noodles were good. There are better spots.
One thing you could do also is get an American express platinum card and use the concierge service to have them book it for you so you don’t need to wake up early.
Im sorry but american Restaurants etiquette seems completely ridiculous to me😢 you have a max of 100 minutes and if you don't fill the table you're out? On top of that the food is ridiculously expensive and not even that great! Where is the joy of sitting with friends and family and eating and talking and drinking? You get herded in and kicked out like cattle... I rather travel anywhere else and take my time to enjoy
I keep seeing you on shorts, and not trying to Doxx you, just curious if you are at the NAPA CIA or St. Helena. We've just done a lot of work at he St. Helena location and was wondering if you liked the new kitchen on the second floor at the St. Helena location if so.

This is like children fighting for the last piece of candy
last piece of korean fried chicken🍗
Except you gotta pay for the candy still
found the comment hehehe
That's great! I'm glad you were able to get the reservation. Enjoy your trip to NYC!
thank you😆❤️❤️

i will def post a review!

that alarm triggered me omg 😭
Im so happy for you, enjoy your trip to nyc❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Ate there last time i visited! More of a vibe based place than a food place. Kind of reminds me of a club

Thank you for sharing your experience!

earlyyyy🔥
6:45am two weeks ahead is very istj of you! 👏🏽😂
Let’s see Paul Allen’s reservation.
so you didn't get to book a reservation on Christmas eve right?
I went there once with my parents. That place is so good, make sure you eat their green sauce with the wings it’s so fire. Have a fun time in nyc!
Early! Love your videos
earlyy🔥🔥🔥
If you think that's bad, try getting a reservation at Dorsia
Yes
Should've gone to Dorsia
What’s your favorite thing at Dorsia?
@chefkim_chi they have great sea urchin ceviche
alarm gave me ptsd
Congratulations! I really really like watching your videos!
I hope you have an amazing trip to NYC!
ahh!! hope you enjoy your trip here and eat lots of amazing food~
Congrats!
Can we get a full video in korean! About anything lolll

If only humanity worked this hard to help others, and contribute positively to society, rather than trying to 1-up each other on SM..
Cleverrrr sis!! I’ma keep note
Damn rich people problems
I went here twice in the last month. I really enjoyed the food and ambiance so I hope you get to experience it too!
As an ENFT-P I just go with the flow 😅😂 happy you got what you wanted and dare travels and good NOMMERS! Lol
How about Dorsia?
do they kick you out if you bring less than 3 people?
Lmao
Yes! If your whole party isn’t there they will not seat you.
I’ve been here twice and let me say it’s AMAZINGGGGG. I also ran into thomas keller celebrating his birthday there too lol
I am very confused. You planned ahead but didn’t know that you couldn’t book for two that easily. You were confident about the Christmas Eve booking but then you mentioned that you’ve got reservation for a “different day when I am on New York”.
Please also go to trinciti in Queens!
That alarm gave me flashbacks
As an INFP, I would never do this lol. Christmas Eve McDonald's and homemade jello shots while watching Blade Runner is more the vibe 😂
💀💀💀💀💀
You should try Four Kings in SF Chinatown. Super hard to get a rez but I've been there twice and the food is 👏🏼
Its like the feeling when you get the petal dress at 2 am
I missed it😔
Sometimes i don't understand why people don't eat at home on special days
I want to have problem like that 😢
why would you play that alarm with no warning i got jumpscared bc that alarm haunts me every morning 😭😭💀💀💀😅😅🥰🙂😔😕
Aren’t you the one that also complained about the service at French laundry ?
Enjoy! Cheers from long island:)
putting 'reddit' after searching something up is so real
No rezdora is wayy harder like legit everything gone in 20 seconds at midnight
Cocodaq is super worth it. But honestly I did not know it was that hard? We just waited in line an hour before they opened and were seated at one of the long tables.
no fomo here. that's so AWESOME😀good for you!
I’m an Enfp I usually just have a party with my bf’s family
unfortunately it’s super overrated :/ the chicken tastes like any other korean fried chicken place, just with a fancier ambiance. you can walk in easily if you line up 15 mins before opening as well
Wait you got a reservation the day before what? For a different day from when?
Reminds of the time i tried to get seventeen tickets for this year’s tour (i failed 😢)
Oh my, we have the same MBTI and live relatively close to each other! (Im in the bay)
Woah, why am I so early??
❤️❤️❤️
Matrix😂😂😂
Prob just another restaurant few celebs went and made it “famous”

Omg i love coqodac!!!!
Why did I hear a chicken name when name of the restruant was revealed?
I just found out about ur channel so im ur new subscriber i hope u get to 1mil btw i watched some of ur old videos

Do yourself a favor and go to Flushing queens for some Korean food too
I'm an ISTJ too!! 🎉🎉
ISTJ 저랑 완전 정반대이신 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 저는 일할때만 J인듯하지만..
ENFP!!!
That's nice. But have you ever get a reservation to Dorsia tho? 😏

Coqadaq was juat aight

Am I dumb? How did she get it for two if they wouldn’t allow her to?
Have fun in Nyc also please be safe as well make sure you also have pepper spray or something
Amazing
Been there before
Not worth it to come to nyc just to try it,
Tho the Mac and cheese and chicken thighs are insane
By the way if you looking for bookstore?
I have some like books are magic and also there is bookstore that sell pickles as well
Went there already. It was good and you'll have a nice time but there's much better places for the price and it's a bit overhyped.
We were easily able to snatch a reservation the day before for Cote! So party number def matters
I’m an INFP! I’m surprised to find MBTI here :D
I think its less expensive to travel to France 😭 like go to the South of north
They're mid, tbh. Way too overhyped. Artistically, it's pretty cool. But eh, im not too fond of simplicity and "innovation".
Can I reserve for 3 and come with 2 people plus a plushie as my third
Congrats, record ur experience 12/24 pls
I work at that restaurant. Idk how you did it but we had to take you off reserve. 😅
Im sorry but american Restaurants etiquette seems completely ridiculous to me😢 you have a max of 100 minutes and if you don't fill the table you're out? On top of that the food is ridiculously expensive and not even that great!

i hope reservation for miso chili oil won't be as difficult
You should never go to a restaurant on a super busy day like a holiday, you’ll get mediocre food and whatever leftovers they have
Great work! I hope you enjoy NYC just be careful! It’s getting more vicious out here 😅
Please give us a list of your favorite NYC spots.
off the top of my head, my favorite New York City restaurants are Moono, Le Coucou, the original halal guys food truck
this is NOT the hottest restaurant in nyc
it says dec 10. not december 11th maybe you just did it a day early
I keep seeing you on shorts, and not trying to Doxx you, just curious if you are at the NAPA CIA or St. Helena. We've just done a lot of work at he St. Helena location and was wondering if you liked the new kitchen on the second floor at the St. Helena location if so.
A snobby restaurant.

Cocodaq is low key mid
14 days before Xmas Eve is Dec 10👀
She's Hella cute and seems like she has a good personality
I am ISTJ too
I wouldn’t eat there. This is so stupid
BTS fan can relate
Awesome
Yo so you need a +1 😊?
