Your neighbor must really like you. I think you need to lower to bike mount and put the brush holder on the other side of the post. That way you're not spraying water into you neighbors yard and they don't have to look at the the brushes you have hanging up. Also I'd check to see if the water from washing is draining into their backyard...i mean garden. Looks great though. You did a great job building the shed and wash stations.
1. You need overfill system 2. You also need some kind of a filter to prevent debris from trees etc that landed on that roof and then was washed by rain
If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the gutter system had a filter at the end before it gets collected. Wasn't said in the video, but it does look like it to me. As well as the filter in the hose for the pressure washer.
Cut the top of the post at an angle (water will sit on tje flat and end grain will absorb it through the whole post) and treat the post and fence behind it otherwise they will rot fairly quickly. Also a simple strainer to stop the worst of debris coming off the roof in the water butt. You can buy little mesh guards that go in the down pipe hole or a mesh cover that covers the whole gutter. Love the Blake builds stuff 👍
I’d suggest using the wooden post as a better support mechanism, for your bottles and brushes. By running the bar through the post, you create a much stronger extension, which your end plate could be screwed in on the opposite side. I’m in the process of building my own wash station and it never occurred to me to look at the cordless Worx washer and water tank, due to my remote waterless location. My gears are turning…. 😂
Awesome work, awesome video! Those wood screws holding your bike bracket are probably going to fail quicker than you'd like though, especially if you extend it out so the pedal clears the post. I'd enlarge the holes in the bracket, drill through the post, and then put a bolt or two through instead.
If Blake’s not careful, he’s going to end up pulling a Colin Furze, and start building an underground lair in his back garden, complete with secret tunnels 😜👍‼️
Nice job Blake, i would recommend an additional gutter clip between joiner and outer clip as over time you may find it sags a little. 800mm spacing max for ogee but you can never have too many, Keep up the great content 🤙🏼 love watching you.
that stand should be adjustable, especially so you can lower the bike and wash it without spraying towards your neighbours window. some tilt and pitch adjust would also be good, so you could work on you bike outside.
That's a nice installation Blake! I think you should add 2 things, one little fence just at the end of your gutter to filter the water before it drop in the tubes and in the tank. The other thing will be a sort of cap at the top of the stand, because the wood don't like that the water when it drop in the fiber way. So you will protect it from moisture 👍🏻
I think your brushes and liquids should be on one rack where you lift the whole rack from storage and hang in on the post. An eye bolt in the post and in the shed that the top of the rack hooks in to, then an angled support that just rests below that. So tilt up to insert the hook, and gravity will hold it in place.
I know my neighbors probably think I'm crazy for blowing my bike off with a leaf blower after I wash it... I feel validated after watching Blake do the same thing 😅
oh there are so many cool things ya can do besides crashing bikes in woods...i got a bazillion hobbies i dip in and out of as i please...keeps the brainrot away
Put the rear wheel between the ergon grips, so you can wash from both sides and don't put the dirt on the fence 😎👌🏼 all in all cool video and a lot of ideas. I use the hydroshot too but I use a 10 liter can or two of it when it's really muddy so I am flexible with everything 😄🤟🏼
Nice one Blake , loving your build series. Have you put an overflow drain in the top of the waterbut or drain pipe, otherwise once full it will be spilling out of guttering
Always a good idea to keep your tools in a lockable box nowadays. Wonders it your thought about rejigging bike water bottle mounts to hold your bottles.
Maybe for another bar that clamps onto the bike somewhere to stop the bike moving whilst you’re brushing it? I noticed you was holding the bike with one hand
I might have made some sort of quick release for the bar holding the brushes and cleaners so that I could use it as a carrier for everything between the shed and stand in one go, but with the shed just a few feet away it's probably over-engineering
Go crazy and get a bench mount bike stand head a bolt that to your post. Or go completely nuts and get the portable clamp I saw on Berm Peak. It clamps to about anything, anywhere.
I'd love to have Blake be a neighbor...He's seems to be a genuine dude! He's just like Tim The Tool guy! Blake could not have done this without Alby!!!! Whats with the California License Plate you have?
I don’t have ant tips but I do have one question, what did you do for work before RUclips cause you seem very confident with the wood work and building.
Would it be worth sticking some sort of waterproof layer over the fence so the pressure washer doesn't soak through? How about a removable shelf for your brushes so you can take the whole thing out of the shed instead of just the brushes?
does the barrel have an outlet at the bottom? would be good to have that go somewhere it isnt ruining stuff for controlled emptying of the collector barrel...and have overflow run there too! two bird one stone kinda deal
Nice worx tools, 'power share' batteries etc.. but tbh there should be one battery standard like it is with USB ports. Now there is XX brands and XX batteries on the market... You buy one tool and in some way you obligates to its 'system' or battery standard.. Yes there are adapters but these are not always efficient.
Do you have an overflow system planned for the water bud? You also may wish to put a filter (your wives old tights) over the PVC pipe which goes into the water butt to filter out any leaves etc
since your wash station is always gonna be against that fence, maybe look into sealing it against the detergents and grime it'll now be receiving.
Your neighbor must really like you. I think you need to lower to bike mount and put the brush holder on the other side of the post. not very often someone thinks about their neighbours, wish you lived next to me and not the @rseholes that live there just now lol
TOOL TIME is alive and well - any (older) viewers remember that?
Put a good water sealant on the post and the fence behind the wash station so it's better preserved.
1. You need overfill system
2. You also need some kind of a filter to prevent debris from trees etc that landed on that roof and then was washed by rain
Indeed. With leaves decaying in there the water will soon be disgusting.
Said the same til I saw the in-line filter already attached to the pressure washer hose end.
A mesh netting at the top of the drain would be a good idea
I mean, didn’t see any trees overhanging his garden or shed🤷🏼♂️🤣 really don’t think that’s going to be a problem..
If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the gutter system had a filter at the end before it gets collected. Wasn't said in the video, but it does look like it to me. As well as the filter in the hose for the pressure washer.
Love the series... you should put plastic hose on those sticks where you put the wheels so that it doesn't scratch the inside of the hubs 👌
Or shrink tubing!
@@sebastiang.6968 even better
Recycle an old inner tube for lining, and it's non-slip.
What a beautiful setup! Love reusing the lord's water. Love the little blake cameo! Kids are awesome!
Great bike spa! Now you need a body rejuvenation system for you mate, otherwise known as a hot tub!
Awww, filled my heart watching yer little man help you out digging the post hole, love it! Always enjoy the Blake Builds :)
You may need to protect your neighbours windows while you jet wash the bike!!
Great video.
8:52 That part is really funny... this boy has some comedy talent...like his dad 🙂
Huge fan of the Blake builds videos. Reminds me of Seth building out his new place. Please keep them going!
Well done,Blake! Love the water re-using wash bay.
Well done Blake 🎉 ...all the way from Durban, South Africa 🇿🇦
I see Blake likes Worx even more than me. :D The worx battery powered washer stays in the MTB wagon at all times with its collapsible bucket.
"back of the shed" que trippy reggae music. well done
Watching you and your son fills me with warmth.
Blake's kids are going to have a bunch of fun stories hanging out with their dad building stuff. I sense a family of inventors coming our way.

Looking super dooper.
I suggest a large plastic board as a splash barrier for the fence with a few inches gap so nothing rots.
Couldn't agree more
Awesome work, awesome video!
Those wood screws holding your bike bracket are probably going to fail quicker than you'd like though, especially if you extend it out so the pedal clears the post. I'd enlarge the holes in the bracket, drill through the post, and then put a bolt or two through instead.
my idea was more holes and more screws...bolt through the post is better
More holes and more screws is always a great idea though
If Blake’s not careful, he’s going to end up pulling a Colin Furze, and start building an underground lair in his back garden, complete with secret tunnels 😜👍‼️
Awesome as usual Blake.
You need a dry room for your wet kit buddy🤙🏻🤙🏻
There is only so much to say about mountainbiking so most of the videos are a bit useless, but these Blake Build videos are amazing
Star of the show? ALBY! That boy is too cute.
Nice job Blake, i would recommend an additional gutter clip between joiner and outer clip as over time you may find it sags a little. 800mm spacing max for ogee but you can never have too many, Keep up the great content 🤙🏼 love watching you.
Best thing on GMBN!" More Blake Builds 💪
What a man! Blake is a bad ass. Would love all those tools oh and bikes of course lol

I love the blakes build vids keep it up!!💪💪
I am starting to think there should be a t-shirt with" Be more Blake" written on it
Or As in WWJD, WWBD What Would Blake Do
I think your brushes and liquids should be on one rack where you lift the whole rack from storage and hang in on the post. An eye bolt in the post and in the shed that the top of the rack hooks in to, then an angled support that just rests below that. So tilt up to insert the hook, and gravity will hold it in place.
Thought the same 👌
I know my neighbors probably think I'm crazy for blowing my bike off with a leaf blower after I wash it... I feel validated after watching Blake do the same thing 😅
I would put some hose on the bars that hold your wheels so they don't damage the inside of your hubs but great build mate 👌
Some heat shrink cable sleeving would be perfect for this.
The fully decked out Worx set-up is 🔥
Cool project 👍
Moooaaarrr Blakes, lil Blakes, big Blakes... 🤩
I like this series. I forget that oh ya I can have other hobbies that aren't bikes. I like gardening and car stuff too still lol
oh there are so many cool things ya can do besides crashing bikes in woods...i got a bazillion hobbies i dip in and out of as i please...keeps the brainrot away
Haha great little helper!
Blake, I wouldn't want to be your neighbour if I didn't have the same hobby and could share the washing station with you.
I would love to be your neighbour Blake!!
I would also love to be Blake's neighbour! worst of cases agree as gentlemen to put a higher fence and that's it! :)
@@R1eger25 Not a higher fence, I 'd like to be also Blakes neighbour, but with a door!
I prefer a door definitely!! ahah
Well done Blake
This type work is right up my street 😊
Always a good idea to keep your tools in a lockable box nowadays. Wonders it your thought about rejigging bike water bottle mounts to hold your bottles.
Well done!!! Definitely something I want to do this spring 🤘🏼
Great job! How about a heater in the bike shed? Will help prevent damp and rust?
solar powered dehumidifier would be cool !
Yo Blake, nic videos. Your fence will rot in no time! How about an acrylic sheet behind the wash station to deflect the water?
Hell yeah, Mate 😂 from the oth ,side of the Pond 🇺🇸
Maybe put a somethingnin the guttering like chicken wire or some mesh to stop leaves going into the water butt 😊. Great job BTW the way blake
And what will be happens when the water tank will be full ? You need to evacuate the excess water to a proper drain.
top job Blake ! i love all the biuld projects you do, keep them coming. purhaps you might need to look at treating the wood stand and fence
2:55 some tool that washer
Go crazy and get a bench mount bike stand head a bolt that to your post. Or go completely nuts and get the portable clamp I saw on Berm Peak. It clamps to about anything, anywhere.
Awesome set up!
I'd love to have Blake be a neighbor...He's seems to be a genuine dude! He's just like Tim The Tool guy! Blake could not have done this without Alby!!!! Whats with the California License Plate you have?
How about a hinge and a longer post/thing that holds the bike, so you can swing the bike around and wash from the other side also?
Nah Blakey, I still don't see a braai there bro. Come now! 😜
I don’t have ant tips but I do have one question, what did you do for work before RUclips cause you seem very confident with the wood work and building.
I’d be covering the fence with a waterproof cover of some sort. Squirting water at it will rot it in no time and look messy.
For the wheel holder could use a piece of pipe the diameter of your axle instead of the bar that’s there
Would it be worth sticking some sort of waterproof layer over the fence so the pressure washer doesn't soak through?
How about a removable shelf for your brushes so you can take the whole thing out of the shed instead of just the brushes?
Looks awesome mate
does the barrel have an outlet at the bottom? would be good to have that go somewhere it isnt ruining stuff for controlled emptying of the collector barrel...and have overflow run there too! two bird one stone kinda deal
you need a wash station for your little man to clean his bike with you!!
Nice man… more blake builds! just awesome
Great 👍, build on and ride safe !
Only thing I would improve is some kind of locking mechanism to hold the bike so it doesn't swing around while cleaning.
Hi Blake. Do you not need to treat the wooden post to stop it from rotting?
Awesome Blake, think I’ll construct something similar. Heaps of other great ideas in the comments
Excellent
Great build Blake, love the little man. What happened to your yellow scout
Great video
Ready for it
If you want a welding project, build a bike rack. I based mine off the LoLo rack
Great build, turn your welder up a tad more though,(or slow the wire speed down a little bit) welds are a bit cold. But excellent job still
The worx tool brand is that a UK thing just curious. And love the wash station what will you build next.
Blake's gig after GMBN.
The most important thing is somewhere to put your beer down while you wash your bike.
I think it would have been good to make that post a bit deeper but I'm in a place with a 1m deep frost line.
Gotta add a low rack for you kids to wash their bikes man!
Nice project, but with the bike btacket that far up the post, you're going to be washing your neighbours yard too!
How do you get your wheels off the rebar when you’ve glued the bar ends on that are wider in diameter?
They aren't glued on.
Blake in a product meeting with Worx:
".... I'm going to need 2 grinders"
You need a splashback behind it so your fence is not ruined.
Hi Blake! Doyou use hearing protection when using your tools?
Greetings Steven
Get a foam cannon attachment for your pressure washer
Weird question, what boots are those Blake?
Nice! 👍👍👍
Blake builds a log cabin!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have an overflow system planned for the water bud?
You also may wish to put a filter (your wives old tights) over the PVC pipe which goes into the water butt to filter out any leaves etc
Blake since you were able to build a hardtail the next big thing should be building a full sus
Nice build, but I bet most of us do not have a welder....
Degreaser and grime will probably cause that wood to get nasty and age prematurely. May want to consider a shield of some sort.
Blake getting sponsorship from a tool manufacturer. What is this channel?! Am I lost in another dimension?!
😂
Blake using the post depth measuring standard of 1/2 toddler 😅
Good job, but the actual hanger is too close to the post, so you can't turn the cranks while the bike is up on the stand.
