Fyi. All you need are a few 1/4 ounce jigs and 3” white twister tails. Thanks for sharing 😃🎣🐟

    Where’s that at? Park’s name?

Dingell Park in Ecorse Michigan. That is mud island across the river. The island blocks the main view of the Detroit River.

Thanks for posting this. My son and I are going to head down to Ecorse and the river to try. We did pretty good off Lake Erie this weekend. So you are fishing minnows? How large of a hook are you using. Thanks again really enjoyed this.

Glad you liked it! We used minnows as well as worms. The minnows did better. The hook was a number 4 I believe.

The white bass taste a lot better if the red/dark meat on the fillets are removed. It gives the fish fillet a bad taste and detracts from the fine taste of the remaining white meat. Also the Detroit Refuge fishing pier in Trenton just south of where you fished produces excellent white bass numbers (25 limits) and sizes (17 inches) . Give it a try next spring season run....usually starts first part of May.

We are definitely going to try out Trenton next spring and thank you for the fillet tips! We had a lot of fun in Ecorse and everyone that was fishing from the shore was helpful in giving us tips!
