There's some great advice in this video that I've been looking for but couldn't find elsewhere on RUclips, even on channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Wow. This is still gold, 5 1/2 years later in March 2021. And to top it off, the finished video is quite wonderful - a relaxed chutney-making session with a natural cook and fun ingredients. I smiled throughout and was riveted by the presentation. This is gold standard stuff. It's the elusive video we're always looking for, where a real pro presents the straight dope very pleasantly.
although i’ve been a staff photojournalist for 20+ years i really enjoyed this. i knew the information already but refreshers never hurt anyone. all i really wanted to say was very nice job and great delivery- precise and clear and easy for a novice to understand
Very nice tip there with the WMD, I'll have to remember that! Like the audio level meter on the app, just forked out for filmic but I'll take a look :)
We miss this guy where are you bro?
This is simplest, best yet to-the-point tutorial on smartphone filmmakings I have seen so far.

John, brilliant! Love how you talked about techniques while demonstrating them and then followed with the finished product. Excellent!

This is an awesome video! What are the permission restrictions to embedding this video on one's website?
I would have got a few cutaway shots of Meg's face to intercut when there are noticeable camera breaks in the action.
this is great! what device are you using to hold iphone? brand? model?
Awsome
very precise, but beginners get confuse on sound maybe
Hi, which mobile application did you use to edit the shots?
