Riley Fullbuster I Know right! I was so happy to hear him say that!! I've been through a very similar situation with my mom, she had stage 4 colon cancer, and being able to pray and talk to God gave me the hope that no matter what she would be safe. weather she was meant to be here or in heaven

I'm an atheist and I think its great that he believes in a god because it was what helped him, and without him my life would be worse. I'm fine with whatever helps people to live better lives.
And this is why I fucking love this band. Their music is what helps me through tough times. the night before last, I was trying to support two or three friends at the same time and it was suffocating me. I couldn't handle it. I felt so bad for not being able to help them all and I just wanted o curl up and rot. Then my buddy sent me Set It Off gifs (one with Cody doing the little heart finger thing) and I listened to their music and cried. My life really isn't bad, and my heart goes out to all of you who've lost a family member or friend or anyone you love. But keep your head up, because we've always got tomorrow.

There's this song by Set It Off called You Are Loved (might have already heard it) and they sang it because they heard that one of their fans had taken their life. Might have been written for that, or just sang for that, but it's a really great song :)

My dad was diagnosed with cancer when I was 11 luckily he survived I cant imagine losing a parent, I do know how it is to be alone tho it's horrible so if anyone sees this and needs someone I will always be happy to help
And if by some miracle Cody see's this; know i idolise you brother you are so strong ❤
My dad didn't die from cancer he dies from a cardiac arrest and many other diseases. He managed to stay so strong and happy. He finally died during my elementary school year I think 4-5th grade. I still miss him so much and what made it worse was that I never got to say goodbye.
I just found out why he wrote Dad's Song, I'm so happy he is the way he is, he's so positive. Sorry for your loss Cody! ⟠⟠

I'm not crying. There's just dust in my eye. Not sure if Cody will ever see this but, this is why I look up to him. I'm sure his father is so proud of him at this point.
it was really hard seeing my aunt zelma go threw lung and skin cancer because when I was little she always look out for me and made sure I was okay so in my head she was the strongest woman I knew she would always do things by herself but when she was diagnosed with lung and skin cancer and she went threw the trails of radiation she became very weak and it was very hard seeing her that way and it was hard for her to let people take care of her, eventually she became weaker and weaker and she drifted away and went to heaven

I never knew that chemo bought time and didnt cure things. Doctors dont tell you that?! I actually dont listen to this band but how sweet!! Got me in the feels. He is so right, its easy to get locked away.
It's videos like these that helped me when I had my tumor. I hope one day to meet Cody and the rest of the band and thank them in person for everything their music has helped me get through.
I went through the same thing from my great aunt. I knew she was going and when my mom came home and told me, I immediately went to music. Two days later my uncle ended up in the hospital and I was having the best time with my cousin who was four at the time. My aunt walked in the door and I knew he had passed. What killed me though was the fact that my cousin said “Where is papa?” And my aunt had to explain everything to her and I tried my hardest not to cry but I failed. It’s was so hard then those next three weeks. That was a year ago. My great uncle was taken to a resting home since he didn’t have that much time left three days ago for breaking his hip. Two days ago I was told he had passed. I know it gets better it’s just hard sometimes. That’s where music comes into play, it’s my easiest distraction at this point. Thank you who ever reads this💜
Your song about your dad kills me everytime i hear it. December was the last time i remember speaking to my dad before he died. That song helped me so much. And still does daily.
I know what I'm gonna hold on to when I'm down...It's gonna be the songs that Set It Off sing! They help me when I'm down and sad and they make me even happier when I'm happy too! I hope Cody is OK....I wish the best of luck to you Cody!

when he said that I just felt closer to him because my grandmother passed away last year on December 16th from a stroke she had the same stroke nine days before she passed and I've known her for 19 years I know what Cody went through and it's so hard but I got through it and marry Christmas granny
all i have to say is i am sorry cody but thank you I THANK YOU AND THE BAND FOR WHAT YOU DO NEVER EVER STOP PROMISE ME THAT then i will be happy...
Don't worry Cody, he's n a much happier place in heaven. It's going to be okay, I've been through something similar and it still traumatises me today. I hope yo and the guys in SIO are doing well. Rest In Peace James.
My granddad (who kinda became my dad after my real dad died in 2010 'cuz of carbon monoxide posioning) died 'cuz of terminal cancer at the end of 2016. He had radiotherepy and it went away for a few months, but then it came back again. He was rushed into hospital boxing day of 2016 and died a couple of days later.

my stepdad was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was about 9 or so and he did treatment and it went away for about a year and a half and then he was rediagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and lung cancer and he decided not to do treatment again and the doctors gave him 6 months to live and he lied 15 months after that. around the beginning of March he wasn't doing good so his brother flew him my mom and I down to Florida so he could pass with his family but he ended up going about 4 extra months and then July 7th 2016 at about 8pm he passed away and they had the funeral on his birthday (July 16th) and he was in my life for almost 7 years and passed away at the age 65. I'm a 13 atm.

This just gave me so so much more love for this band. There are certain songs that share such fantastic messages and Motos and the fact it's came from such experiences is so truly inspiring. This band mean so much to me and I'm so happy I've found them, I love them.
My father passed away from cancer around 8 months ago, 4 days before I turned 14-years-old. It was so hard for me because we didn't have a good relationship. Then, a few days ago, a friend of mine passed away, too. This has been the hardest year ever for me, but what makes me feel better is that my father and friend are both happy and in heaven and watching over me, my friends, and family

Well, this really helped :) Especially since I went through a similar situation. My mom passed away from cancer when I was thirteen, but ever since then I just wanted to stop suffering and be happy. But every once in a while I start to feel hopeless again. But I know that I’m still young and I don’t need to have everything figured out right now. At least I’m trying and I’m hopeful ❤️
