This little car is an absolute BEAST. THE E5 HX BRUSHLESS Running 3s 11.1v 5000Ma 45c battery and it's making 96km/h... At nearly full throttle you hit the accelerator and it backflips .. And it takes an absolute beating. Only things that have broken was the wing mount, and a shock but that was definately my fault, clipped metal at that exact height. Replaced the shocks with the alloys but it might not be necessary. The shocks are beefy and take 35 weight oil. I have jumped , bashed, flipped, cartwheeled, stuffed up big jumps, gone through puddles dirt, long grass etc and it just keeps on going, it's awesome. The stock tyres are grippy as and almost makes it hard not to flip on hard surfaces. Not to mention the front left parts will fit the back right and visa versa it's a bloody good idea. Even on 2s its a bit of a monster.. Sick Car and the lightsfor night driving. 9/10
@@AussieRCPlayground Cant remember the brands exactly but a mate had/sold a slightly more powerful motor and ESC. So we kinda fudged it to fit. Honestly it was stupid quick and needed a lot of run to just not to backflip it, probably could have gotten more if i had more road.. I just use the electronic gear supplied with the car now E5 HX but its still a bloody quick little thing with the 3s
factory assembly issue with the shock both the redcat half of the brand and team magic have had identical issues. it's not broken but the little nut that screws on to it didn't either get tightened all the way or didn't get any thread locker. I have the redcat version and I had to go back and thread lock the grub screws on my diff cups. they both came out and had zero thread lock on them.
There's tons of reviews. Here's the summary: it sucks, and it's a cheap duplication of the superior Hot Bodies D8. As such, it requires many D8 parts to make it reliable to drive. Not a racing platform either.
+abdullah mohammed Bacon's right, that Truggy is old and there's heaps of reviews out there already. Plus, I hear it's not the best rc out there. People complain about a lot of breakages from minor incidents and that's not good. Get a Talion, Kraton or Losi 8-T if you can afford it. Any of those should rip the HPI Trophy Truggy to shreds.
If your willing to spend the money you can't go wrong with the losi 8ight-T. It is race ready but more then durable enough to take almost any beating you want to give it out bashing.
Come to think of it, my Redcat truck had the same problem. I just forgot about it because mine was already like that straight out of the box. They use screws to hold the pistons onto the shaft, just use blue Loctite on the screw
Yep thats a Normal thing for the E5/MT10E. You have to threadlock the Center driveline diff output cups and you have to threadlock the screw that holds the shock piston to the shock shaft. It is a widely known problem.
Nice 1 vas. Looks a bit slow considering 3s as u seem to feel too... not seen the 2s vid but it must have been shockingly snail like. It's an expensive rig so tbh I was expecting more. Guessing it's got room to gear up? Early runs can often b a bit disappointing until its setup to your preferences. Was the shock just an assembly issue or breakage? Cheers. 👍
Enjoy your video's looks like a spunky truck! Looked like it at some points in the start of your video the truck has functioning brake lights... pretty sweet tho!
i got two turnigy 2S 6600mAh lipos and they have been going strong for years. And since I paid 20$ USD for them I feel their batteries are amazing for the cheap price
For $500.00usd ??? this needs alota upgrades to bring it to that value....a JLB Cheetah Extreme or even a Vkar Bison are built waaaay better for $200.00 less!?? It looks to be a great truck but for more around the $250 to $300 range!! So glad I get to see you beat these trucks up before I buy one....for $500 I would be very disappointed in this truck...it just seems more low level hobby grade to me! Great video as always!¡
+ROCK&ROLLRC Wow!! You are so off the mark, I'm actually getting a nose bleed from reading your comment. I can assure you with 100% honesty that the Team Magic cars are on a different league compared to those Cheetah cars. Yes, the Cheetah is fast, but it handles like crap, you need better tyres, it's NOWHERE near as durable and it has piss weak diffs. All the E5 needs is better gearing and you'll see how good it gets. Stay tuned.
Aussie RC Playground ok so i'll wait and see what you can do with it seems slow😀 your right it needs different shocks and it seems really noisy ( drive train..gears) or it might be just be the way it sounds in the video? I'll wait till I see more videos on it and see how it holds up ..but it does need help right out the box.😀 Hey btw..I'm looking at a 1/8 scale Vkar Bison have you seen it yet ? And I love Team Magic vehicle's they are built very well but to me this one... I don't know yet....$500 and it needs gearing and shocks right out the box??? I'll wait for more reviews!😀😀
+dragyralf E5 - hands down!! Bullet is no competition for this truck. The only thing the bullet does better is that it has better speed. But it handles nowhere near as good and is nowhere near as tough. To me (and I've had both), the E5 is far superior.

96kph?? How? What power system are you using to get that speed?

Looks like fun on 3S! Sorry to see the shock broke!
The shock diden't break per say but just came apart inside. Can easily be put back together.

thanks for sharing
How fast does it go?
please continue to do your videos I love them. I'm from the USA and I love your videos
especially your bashing videos the CEN REEPER videos was AWESOME
+Howard Thorne Thank you very much. Glad you're enjoying the videos. :)
Can you review the hpi trophy truggy ??
There's tons of reviews. Here's the summary: it sucks, and it's a cheap duplication of the superior Hot Bodies D8. As such, it requires many D8 parts to make it reliable to drive. Not a racing platform either.
Bacon676 what truggy do you recommend instead ?

The screws come loose. Common problem on the lastest releases of those and rhe redcat tr-mt10e. I would look out for the stub axles breaking as well.
Short, but nice 3S running video!
+Peter Weber Don't worry, there's more on the way. ;)
Hi to you ! Have you changed gear on the E5? According to you, what would be the best engine for the full option model? Thanks.
