I love the constant hints that vegito is the biggest threat in this tournment. Especially after being stopped by Gast. All we have to do is wait for the right trigger for vegito to go off and the battle of fusions will begin!

Vegito is the opposite of Goku, because Goku always praise anyone that is Stronger than him and actually has a lot of Respect in someone's Strength and Power, while Vegito only cares about himself being the only Strongest around and has absolutely no Respect in someone's Strength and Power.
@joseurbina3835 The thing is Goku always strive to get better because he believes there is always someone stronger. He never cared about the title being the strongest because he never believed himself to be. A big part of the curse is the ego and Vegito has Vegeta's ego.
Remember that the Goku and Vegeta that make up Vegito never reached the final steps of their character development that they reached in the canon buu saga. You can see it with Vegito's reaction to Goku and Vegeta's full power state being reminiscent of Vegeta disdain and reaction to Goku hiding ssj3.

I'm sensing a battle of the fusions in the future, Gogeta vs Vegito.
With Goku and Vegeta's new form, I doubt Vegito stands much of a chance against Gogeta using that form.

Here's my theory on Vegito's change. The truth of Vegito's change is the same curse that we've seen throughout Dragon Ball. "The curse of being the strongest". Vegito was the strongest in his universe for years and no one could challenge him and he was even revered as a god. That boosted his ego into thinking he can do whatever he wants. But when things start to not go his way and saw people challenging him as a threat to his power such as Gas and XXII, the seeds of darkness starts to show. His family losing faith in him just mades things worst and now seeing Goku and Vegeta use a form that not even he knows how to do just furthers my point as more people catching up.
The Curse of being the strongest is that people with power can be nice when they believe but lash out at threats to them. We've seen examples of this with Frieza during Namek saga. When first introduced, he was calm and collective and was alot more merciful when he believed he was the strongest but when he started to see threats to his power such as the saiyans and his men failing him, is when he started to lash out and be merciless.
Another example is Cell, after he became perfect, he was merciful when he when spared Trunks and Goku after beating them and gave them a chance but after Gohan emerged as a threat, he became merciless.
This makes sense :0 Goku was taught early on by roshi to always think someone out there was stronger, and having vegeta around who probably slightly surpasses goku every now and then for goku to yoyo back on top keeps a healthy thing going. Though goku is pure of heart so that probably doesn't matter anyway. I like to think the personality of a fusion is as old as when the first fusion happened and explains why fusions tend to be cocky cos they are essentially kids that are super powerful so they have big egos.
I can imagine the right trigger vor Vegito. We know that XXI is a fraud who cheated himself through he tournament, taking out Vegito and Zen Buu in the process.
If that comes to light, Vegito will have a legit cause to be mad as hell. He will INSIST, to get a new chance for a proper challenge, but the Vargas and supreme Kaioshins will have none of it, after all that happened.
Goku almost killed the supreme Kaioshin in the original series, Vegeta would have blown Babidi's ship to bits, if Goku had not stopped him. Now, Vegito could be like "I will have my fight, one way or another" and blast Universe 1 into oblivion.
They will give Vegito a "legit" cause to eventually loose it, they will not turn him evil without reason
Not a bad theory I like the idea someone came up with. that because this vegito does have end of z version of goku and vegeta some of their worst traits are still there
There was never any change, this Vegito was made b4 Vegeta became pure of heart, as stated by babidi. Since his first introduction Vegito was extremely egotistical. U gotta remember this is a completely diff universe.
I said their flashback fight was my favorite, but this takes the cake. There isn't a single page after the time slowdown that doesn't have you wondering if it's the deciding blow. Every counter move feels both desperate, inspired, and deserved. The best Dragonball has to offer is when you feel like both fighters have overcome themselves, and this is exactly the sentiment. It does the cannon proud.
This going to be the one time i want goku and vegeta to whip out gogeta just completely humiliate crappy version of vegito.

Very well done video here, fun fact: It also kinda seemed like before stumbling and falling down Vegeta actually made peace once again with Goku being stronger than him(smilled) and just stopped resisting.
It's really hard to even say that he's stronger, they're equals at this point, even just one wrong move could have changed the entire outcome of that fight

So these two versions of Goku and Vegita achieved what Whis stated finally. Only in ones base form are you at your most powerful state. Of course referencing containing ones ki at all times. This is the battle they deserved in anime. A chance to go full tilt.

@@SongohanbestioHe's not talking about ultra instinct, and no, it's literally nothing like that. This has nothing to do with god ki, and is the equivalent of gohans unlocked potential but gained without the use of magic.

@@Songohanbestio No, what op is mentioning is whis pointing out that strengthening your base form and not relying on transformation is optimal. That's literally it. The only difference between this and gohans ability is the lack of magic. It's literally described as being the same thing, except they discovered how to do it on their own. They took it a step further by seemingly not letting any ki leak, but it's still the same. Drawing out latent power without using a physically taxing transformation

This fight meant so much to me. The way that these characters are depicted just oozes with love and respect, and im really grateful that the Multiverse team took the time to make this love letter to Akira and for Mondo for allowing us to experience it in the most badass way. Thank you Mondo!

I feel this new form should be called True Super Saiyan, it looks like they're using the full extent of Super Saiyan without any real drawbacks other than concentration.
Saiyan Mastered sounds better to me, because Goku mastered Super Saiyan and now has Mastered his base form

All the other sayian forms are numbered, zero is like a step back from the regular super saiyan aka regular form and zero can mean zero ki leakage. Super Saiyan Zero is the best way to call it.

Many years ago an interesting event occurred. I was introduced to DBZ while recovering from an emergency appendectomy and was instantly hooked. I made sure to have my children watch it as they grew. When they were ages 7, 9 and 11 with my son being 7 a church group volunteered to help us as my wife was recovering from Inflammatory Breast Cancer and proving a terminal diagnosis wrong. They would come by to visit and pray for my wife and see what we needed. One couple in particular started buying us hundreds of dollars in groceries twice a month for during for about 3 months. One day they asked me to step outside. They said they were unable to have children and wanted to know if we would sell them one of ours. The offer was 100,000 The answer was NO.. I never saw them again.
I have had an interest in martial arts and esoteric mysticism since I was a kid and was trained in Shotokan Karate later on. I had a large collection of mystic and occult literature on the shelves as well. The kids had been playing games like Grand Theft Auto since my son was 5.
A few days after the purchase was attempted we get a knock at the door. Guess who it was?
Child Protective Services. I invited her in and she said she had gotten a call.
I told her that I had been expecting her. I had felt the church group would call them. Once she finished checking the house out and found no issue I asked if there would be anything else.
She motioned toward my large bookshelf and asked me if I thought it was appropriate to let my children read that kind of material. I informed her that I do not force them to read it but neither do I stop them. I also pointed out that the Bible was there along with a wide variety of high quality works of esoteric nature as well as high level sciences.
She then stated the group had mentioned concern over extremely violent video games and "cartoons" at that age.
I told her that my kids understood what a game was and they were always well behaved.
What about the television shows? she asked.
I asked her if she had ever watched the show. She said no.. I informed her that I felt the show was an excellent example of what character, integrity and courage was.
She smiled and thanked me as she left.

XXI has been kept a secret for like 10 years and seeing this chapter makes me think there's some history between him and the kais.
And vegito was also hinted in bardocks vision many chapters ago.

I think the reason Goku and Vegeta managed to reach a form Vegito couldn’t was because things were easier for Vegito. Vegito is the fusion of two powerful warriors, meaning no matter what he does, it’ll alway be easier for him than it would be for his unfused counterparts, and therefore, would result in lighter training. He’d need to do twice as much work (possibly three times given the boost his particular fusion gives) to get the same results as them.
There’s also the fact that his heart is similar to a more early Vegeta, who would’ve been willing to kill anyone if he deemed he should, even family. That plus Goku’s simplistic aspects pushing that, it results in Vegito being stronger in body, but weaker in mind and heart.
Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
I would agree on your point about Vegeta if this was Cell saga Vegeta because he was very prideful and didn't care about much but Buu saga Vegeta is more calm and collective and nicer after experiencing 7 years of peace. Also this is the same Vegeta that sacrificed himself in an attempt to kill fat Buu. So Vegito being weaker in mind and heart because of Vegeta's personality doesn't make sense.
@@syzorst I didn’t say it was only because of Vegeta. I said it was a combination of both Vegeta _and_ Goku. Goku has just as much to do with this as Vegeta. I explained how in my previous comment.

@@syzorst That’s not exactly how that works. Vegito is a complete fuse of both Vegeta and Goku. You can’t single out the Vegeta aspect of it. You need to include Goku in all of it, just like you need to include Vegeta in all of it.
Yes Vegeta has grown a lot, but that evil is still an aspect of him. It’ll always be apart of him. It’s however countered by his experience, and training to overcome that. But it’s still there. Goku has never had to deal with overcoming the evil inside of him because of the bump to the head, so his mind isn’t used to quelling that aspect of himself. 50% of Vegito’s mind is Goku, meaning 50% of his mind is susceptible to that influence. Meaning while it’s not weak enough to allow Vegito to commit atrocities like Vegeta used to, it’s still weak enough to justify evil actions like killing his own daughter for the sake of the universe despite the fact that individually, neither Goku nor Vegeta (as he is by Buu saga) would ever justify that. And before you say I’m just focusing on Vegeta, I’m about to get into Goku.
Goku is simplistic and carefree, which subtracts from Vegeta’s calm and calculating mind (to be clear, I’m talking about outside of combat), meaning he goes with the easiest solution to whatever problem he faces outside of combat. Basically he doesn’t really think things through, like how he thought giving Cell a senzu bean was a good idea, or how he spares dangerous enemies like Frieza if they aren’t able to fight anymore (most likely so he can fight them again someday). It’s only through his good, lighthearted nature that prevents him from doing truly bad things, because he never really thinks to do bad things.
Now mix Vegeta’s experience with evil thoughts with Goku’s inexperience with pushing away thoughts he shouldn’t carry out. Muddled Vegeta’s “think before acting” mindset with Goku’s “act on instinct” mindset. And you got yourself with a “the ends justify the means” mindset.
You get what I’m saying?

Gogeta has a greater chance of winning considering that the Goku and Vegeta within him has more experience and zenakais, not to mention that new ultimate like transformation they have. It's still going to be an epic fight to watch and I'm hoping it would happen in this manga series.

The best fights have always, Always been between Goku and Vegeta. This one was no different. How there can be with much emotion and excitement in a manga video thats not truly cannon is amazing. Definitely one of my all time favorite fights. Well done.
