  • Even in a budget crunch, Mila still lives the good life :)
    --
It seems that every year, the cost of living goes up, and Mila and I have had to adapt. Recently, one of my work contracts was cut by 40%, and living on an island of imports has meant adjusting our budget-especially when it comes to Mila’s meals. But don’t worry, I’ve found low-cost, homemade ways to supercharge Mila’s food without breaking the bank!
In this video, I’m sharing 3 easy and affordable ways to boost your cat’s food and keep your cat healthy while saving money:
Add Chicken - Chicken is an excellent source of protein, vitamins, and minerals for your cat. It’s much cheaper than high-end wet food and can be mixed with your cat’s regular food to stretch your budget further. I'll show you how I prep Mila’s chicken for 5 days at just 32 cents a day!
Add Water - If you’re feeding your cat more dry food, it’s essential to add moisture to their meals. In this video, I’ll show you how to make a kitty casserole to help keep your cat hydrated without adding more wet food to your shopping list.
Add Eggs - Eggs are packed with protein, amino acids, and vitamins that support your cat’s overall health. At just 6 cents per serving, this is the cheapest way to add nutrition to your cat’s meals without spending a lot.
Whether you're a cat lover on a budget or just looking for easy cat food hacks, these budget-friendly tips will help you feed your furry friend healthy meals without the high cost. Boost your cat’s nutrition and keep your cat happy, healthy, and hydrated-all while saving money!
From traveling the world together with Mila to everyday tips for keeping your cat fed on a budget, this video is perfect for anyone looking to improve their cat’s health without spending a fortune. Merri will just gulp water for 3 minutes nonstop and empty half his glass in one sitting... I'm lucky for that!

    Mila is so adorable!
I hope the USAID shutdown gets reversed as it’s so important. Here in the US egg prices are going up Up UP thanks to avian flu.
My cats always just drank water on their own. We had a well so no chlorine smell.
Good luck to you, Mila, and everyone.

You're very resilient and bounced back quick! I have a freelance job that AI can kind of do (though crappily) and there is less and less available work for actual human beings ... I'm fortunate enough to have investment money and low living costs, but I am definitely more careful and making the transition into semi retirement... (I'm only 48 lol)... hey, more free time to travel and take walks with Merri!

Hi Melissa🙋‍♀️ and Mila🐈. Costs of living goes all the time higher and higher😢.For my cat I bye good quality of finnish pork, he doesnt accept foreing😄I dont know from where he knows. And same way as you do with chicken I do the same. Dry food is always available and he eats that if he ignore wet food sometimes. I wish you both a nice weekend🥰

Merri has a water GLASS - not a bowl (a ceramic Japanese tea cup my BFF gave me a while ago) and he loves it. I think Mila might eat the egg if you mix it into her wet food, and I think boiled would be better than scrambled (texture and taste) just IMO 😊

I did "home raw food" for a while - getting either a piece of salmon or beef stew cubes, portioning them in small Ziploc (sandwich bags) and freezing. Thawing as needed. But that's not so budget friendly... and I would sometimes forget to thaw it. Plus the empty bags would really stink up the garbage lol.
