He is the actual leader of BTS & one of the main lyricists for the group. Amazing man! He just released a new solo album "Indigo" at the beginning of December. Masterpiece!

The group consists of 7 members from South Korea, including 3 rappers and 4 vocalists.
They collaborated with a lot of artists, such as: Snoop Dogg, Juice WRLD, Coldplay, Nicki Minaj, Charlie Puth, Lil Nas X, Fall Out Boy, Megan Thee Stallion, Lauv, Halsey, Steve Aoki, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran and more..
Their account of songs is huge, they make music in a lot of different genres and styles
and also each of them has their own solo stuff,

To explain a little bit about the background of Mic Drop, now BTS is the biggest boy band in the world. But they started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves.
It's a song for their haters. :)
The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope, the main dancer and dance leader of BTS.
And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :)

It's not an official MAMA video broadcast on TV, but a full-cam taken by Big Hit. I recommend this because the camera work on official MAMA is so messed up.
In this performance, Mic Drop was their 4th song, so the members were exhausted and held on with their mental strength only. And, there were even three dance breaks at this time.
I can feel all of them Even if I die, I will die on stage. The energy is crazy!

Oh, there is another song BTS worked on with Steve Aoki. The Truth Untold is a completely different song from Mic Drop. :)

For reference, most of the BTS members were teenagers at that time. It would have been hard to bear at such a young age. But like We On's lyrics, they did it.

Just when you think you have these guys pegged, they will shock you every time.
They cover so many genres and are not afraid to embody the song -- be it rap, pop, ballad, lyrical, hiphop, etc. Hell, they even did country when RM did a version of Old Town Road with Lil Nas.

If you want whiplash you could take a trip to the other side of BTS’s discography and listen to their biggest US hit- Dynamite! It’s very pop-y and all in English. It’s like a totally different group! LOL.
First of all, Thanks for your reaction..Alot of ppl hear the word "kpop" and completely shut off to the genre. It's so much more than pop. There are variations of hip hop, pop, rock, r&b ,edm, latin they even diving on drill, it's just in a different language, but music is universal and enjoyable once you get passed the idea of reading subtitles..😂 .. Now BTS is a F amazing group of multi talented artists. They are built different, their work ethic and dedication made them shine in more way then one..There's so much great bts content for you to dive into.

6:03 we understand what you mean 😅 I realized my small mistake, RM was 148 for long time but after retested previously I think it changed. I’ll have to recap on the episode of problematic man posted couple years ago, Im not sure what it is now. Also, he learned english during his teen years from watching sitcom “FRIENDS” which is why he is so fluent then teaching all his brothers (unrelated close male pals) english speaking and JHOPE joins in teaching to share the responsibility with RM.
Just an fyi, RM does have a genius level IQ, but I think it's 148.
@@KimmyGibson Lol yes he does, it was even shown on they IG with the results after their exams’ week previously years long before pandemic started … it was recorded that he reached IQ of 190 which almost as high as #WalterOBrian; so please don’t try to downgrade his intelligence, Taylor guide maybe the most accurate one right now but it is still missing allot of updated information which is misleading!

He took an IQ test when he was on the show Problematic Men, I don't remember what it was then, but definitely not 190.
