- The easiest most foolproof artisan bread✨
.
I discovered this method from @merryboosters years ago and it has been my go-to ever since 🙏🏼❤️
.
▪️390g (or ~3 Cups) Artisan Bread Flour or All Purpose Flour▪️2 tsp Sugar▪️1+1/2 tsp Salt▪️3/4 tsp Instant or Active Dried Yeast▪️300ml (1+1/4 Cups) Water▪️Butter, for serving▪️
.
1️⃣ In a large bowl mix together the flour, salt, sugar and yeast
2️⃣ Add some lukewarm water (~110°F) and mix everything together to form a shaggy mass of dough
3️⃣ Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let sit and rise in a warm environment for about 2 hours
4️⃣ After 2 hours, preheat the oven to 450°F with a Dutch oven inside (so the Dutch oven gets preheated as well)
5️⃣ Transfer the dough on to a floured work surface (the dough will be sticky so dust it with some flour whenever needed); knead the dough (fold it on to itself, turn, and repeat) for 2-3 mins until a tensive dough ball forms
6️⃣ Transfer to a proofing basket or parchment lined bowl, cover and let rise for 35 mins or until the dough doubles in size
7️⃣ Place the dough ball in the preheated Dutch oven lined with parchment and bake at 450°F for 30 minutes; reduce the oven temperature to 400°F, remove the lid, and bake for another 10-15 more minutes (at this point the longer you bake the bread the crispier the crust will be.. just make sure the bottom doesn't burn) - enjoy with salted butter!
.
Note: If you are making bread on a regular baking tray instead of a Dutch oven, steam is the key factor for making crusty bread. Place a pan with hot water in the lowest rack of oven while baking and spraying with water inside the oven during the initial five minutes of baking to help create this steamy environment inside the oven.
.
⏲ 10 minute prep time + 2 hour 35 minute rise time + 40 minute cook time

Thank you so much. You are an angel .
I thought salt kills the yeast?
The recepy is so easy.....just mix all ingredients and bake. Now i am finally an expert in baking bread
I've made bread a few dozen times, but this is the first recipe that gave me REALLY good bread. It's also the easiest by far. On par with my local premium bakery. More than satisfied, superb recipe. Follow to the t, don't wing it. Thank you!
Tu ippane di napole null'agg mai magnat
This is the recipe that almost everyone was baking during Covid Lockdown in 2020. Easiest bread recipe ever 🎉
If you put it in the banneton seam side *down*, you won't have to cut it either. The seam will be on top during baking, and create a natural point for the crust to crack during oven rise. I always did it this way because I started following written recipes that didn't specify seam side up or down, and then later on I realized you're 'supposed' to bake it seam side down and score it. But that's just an extra step that isn't necessary at all! The only important thing is that you're consistent, so don't put it seam side down to proof and then bake seam side up.
I just baked fresh bread from scratch! I just baked FRESH BREAD from SCRATCH. This was my first time making bread ever - and it turned out perfect, I was expecting that perhaps as this was my first time it wouldn’t turn out as good but my oh my I was pleasantly surprised, I am saving this recipe for Sunday arvo fresh baked bread. Hi! I am making bread for the first time ever and i am trying this recipe! I am on my fourth try rn bc i didn't activate the yeast and then i didn't use enough yeast. Anyways! When you first mix the dough up before it rises is it supposed to be a little lumpy i couldn't tell in the video. Is it possible to over mix the dough? What if the water is too hot or too cold? Thank you.
If you want to use sourdough starter in this recipe his many grams would you use please and ? Has anyone tried it ?
Can you please put this recipe into grams please .. tku
If I forgot to mix the dry ingredients before adding the water will it be okay? 😅
What if I don't have a Dutch oven? What else could I use and just cover the top with a lid?
What if you don’t have a Dutch oven? What else may I use?
Can this recipe also be used for overnight
Can you make it without the Dutch oven?
This was my first time ever making bread and 2-3 minutes of kneading was not enough for me. I spent 2-3 minutes taking it out of the bowl it sat in and dealing with the stickiness
Wet your hands and swing them around to dry. Wet hands makes it actually possible to work with the dough. Just fold it onto itself until it gets easier to work with then you can push down on it. Probably after some practise i can get it down to 3 minutes

Beautiful lady.
Can I use a regular loaf pan if I don’t have a Dutch pan ?
Will this damage to dutch oven to bake in it dry like that
How is this recipie with Whole Wheat or Teff flour? Has anyone tried it.
My dough won’t rise at all after kneading. Any trouble shooting tips?
Change your yeast, it's probably dead. Also, make sure the temperature of the water isn't too high, that kills it, too. Hope that helps!
Recipe please !!
Can I use all purpose flour instead bread flour?
Can we use any flour art from wheat
I don’t get the plastic wrap. The yeast needs air. I’d just cover it with a towel. Is the oven setting with fan or up and bottom heating?
Which setting you use in the oven ? Air ?

Can i add butter in the recipe?
How long will this bread last?
What tpe of yeast do you use? Thanks
What type of yeast is used for this recipe?
Is it sweet? Is there a need for sugar pls?
Not sweet , you need the sugar or honey to help activate the yeast, yeast needs sugars
Can we make this without a Dutch oven
This is what I'm scrolling trying to find out!
Me too!
I don't have the pot ... What can I use???
People who make bread every day have lost of rules,, must clean hands and nails ❤
It's a common sense for cooking anything.
How do you keep bottom from burning or becoming tough to cut?
Put a cookie sheet on a rack below the Dutch oven, while baking.
Thank you for ingredient so important to tell us ingredient as you want to make video no rushing we are writing this down. Thx
How long to do u leave it to rise
I followed all instructions but the bread did not rise like in this video. Another video I watched for artisan bread said to let sit and rise for 5-8 hours. Maybe two hours is not enough? Also it needed a lot more flour it was much too wet and sticky.
Your yeast could be spent. Also salt touching the yeast can hinder the rise.
Whats the recipe?
How much water do you use?
I just have a regular pot will that work?
Yes, the description gives you the alternative which is tray of water on the lowest rack.
What are the ingredients and instructions?
Measurements please???

Could anybody tell me how many grams is 3/4 teaspoon of yeast ? Thanks
Just triple the 1/4
3 grams = 1 tsp of yeast.
Thank you very much

If you don't have a dutch oven?
Where is the recipe?
Making it as we speak
What's a duch oven (don't have one know what it is ) how would I do it with out a fancy duch oven going in a oven
Dutch oven is essentially a cast iron casserole dish. You can make bread without it but it would be hard to do a nice crusty one due to steam that is created inside them I believe.
Well, what if you don't have one of those Dutch oven pantheons? Does it matter like I want to make this now l o l
