Daniel Sebahar Ah, I love the Stranglers. Never gotten to see em' live though, and it's sounding more and more like this tour they're on at the moment, will be their last one. The joys of being one of a few U.S. fans of theirs I guess. I at least got too see the Gorillaz live a few years back, with half the Clash touring with them, it was quite an amazing show.
This is my favourite album of theirs. :3

I spent a lot of time thinking about this song, and it is now my favourite song in the album. He is saying that we (those who are currently living) are the last generation to truly "live". He says that he did not live correctly, that he "had it down wrong". We should live, with not too much sin, and just a little bit of it. In short, we should, for the first time in our existence, live.

Whenever I hear this song, I think of a post-apocalyptic world that has been overrun with demons. The song feels like it would be about a group of survivors trying to find other human life, but not being able to find it....

That cello solo makes me cream. Another one that I skipped but fell quickly in love with when I heard it.
My mom had this CD and when I got bored one time about 4 years ago, I decided to pop it in and listen to it. I listened to it almost every night, just jamming. After expressing my fondness for it to my mom she ended up giving it to me but after a while I stopped listening to the whole album through. Now, years later, I'm roaming through their music again and it's crazy that these songs are so familiar to me but I didn't even know most of the names

My friend asked me earlier, "What genera of music are you listening to?" and I answered without thinking, "what do you mean, it's the gorillaz" and instantly realized that this is literally it's own genera of music. It's really hard to come up with music that sounds completely different yet so perfect, so I give them mad props.
