People who say that clearly don’t interact with people that much. I’ve had so many friends behave this way irl that seeing livers do it doesn’t phase me.
It’s normal for friends that are unhinged to act this way with friends they are comfortable with. It’s not that deep.

This reminds me of the whole incedent with Uki where he was having a colab with someone and chat was feeding the other person information about Uki related ships and his "harem" and it got to the point where Uki had to say that he was uncomfortable with such behaviour, he does like playing into the ships sometimes but having people telling things about him behind his back like that was just really creepy

Shipping in general isnt bad, but can become toxic once people breach the common etiquate of not mentioning it in main chat and not harrasing others because of it. Even if i sometimes feel uncomfortable by a ship, as long as it doesnt harm anyone, im not going out of my way to complain and i especially wont tell a liver they're "playing into it". Damn... I thought it was common fandom etiquette to know to not openly talk about the ships in front of livers. Whether or not they're cool with it, it's just sth you don't do in front of them in general. TIL it's not common knowledge I guess... But now everyone's on the same page again at least :'D
Honestly it was pretty common fandom etiquette for a really long time but I guess with the huge wave of new fans coming in from different fandoms/who are new to fandom spaces in general the past year or so, it’s been harder to have everyone be aware of what’s good/bad behaviour here ;;;
Hopefully with Luca talking about it, it’ll become less of a problem for him but sucks he had to in the first place.

Luca is so cool. I’m sure it’s really irritating to have to deal with a few unreasonable people here and there seemingly upset that he’s.. interacting with people- but he always handles his business maturely.
While I’m not a shipper myself, its fine when people do it at the right places!! Hopefully now there will be less clashing and everyone can continue to enjoy Lucas streams as usual. :)
People need to remember it's not the liver's job to please everyone. If you're uncomfortable with something you have way more power to keep it out of your view than the livers do. Yes shipping can be uncomfortable but there are already several precautions taken in the community across almost every platform to keep it out of the way for others. The only reason it's brought up to the livers themselves is most of the time because of things like this, people who want to complain about it.
It's fine if your uncomfortable but just like people say to shippers "there's a real person behind that avatar" and that extends to the ones complaining too. If the person behind the avatar isn't bringing it up and it's not the topic of the stream you don't need to complain just like we don't need to talk about it in chat.
Man Luca is so cool,he's really mature when needed and he chooses his words nicely, well he's an adult man after all, idk if those people realize how immature and stupid they look using an anonymous site to complain to the liver, about shipping of all things... I noticed in chat too but chose to ignore it, since is best to not bring negative attention while on stream, Boss trust his chat/viewers so please follow the rules they are pretty simple, and being a decent person is free 🙏, and this should apply for any other livers as well , respect the rules or leave if you're displeased with something, complaining like a kid or being a weirdo using sc, akas or marshmallow is just plain pathetic.
Edit: This applies for any kind of ship/pairing or whatever people call it,it's about respecting the boundaries and not trying to control the livers life, they want to interact with their friends without the fear of chat/viewers being "oh no It should be shuxluca not Ikexluca"(as an example), having a favorite pairing or ship, it even a group of people, is totally fine, but please mind they're real people, do not bother them about your preferences, keep it in your brain or your space/social media if you want, talk about it with your friends, but don't involve the actual people, that's borderline insane and super weird.

Yes, you are allowed to ship them! Just keep it to your own space i.e. twitter, discord, etc. rather than mentioning it during streams ^^.
