Hey Brad! I have had that sticker for awhile and never used it. I figured it will provide me with some extra motivation as I look at it when riding. The windscreen should be a bonus for longer rides. On another note, I was at the Honda dealership the other day and they had a Trail 125 on the showroom floor. Wanna guess who I was thinking of? Loved those videos you did! Happy New Year and Cheers!
Excellent description of the stock winds at high speeds at the beginning. While going about 70 with VW the other day - the wind was terrible. Thanks for this video !!! Awesome "GET WELL SOON" message for our Brother - ROB !!!!!!
Thanks Dane! I knew you would be tracking on the wind issue at speed. That VW guy does like to haul ass when he is out and about. Really enjoyed the videos of you two! Glad you found this video useful! As you know, that is why we make em. Have a great one Brother! Cheers!
Thanks for putting up the video. I've got a DR and took it out on a 4-5 hour trip in roughly 30 Degree Celsius recently with a bunch of guys on BMW sport touring bikes and cruisers. Most of the trip was easy going back road but we did a solid hour of 130km/hr and I gotta tell you that was about the noisiest windy ride I've been on. Physically it was a little tiring but the noise at that speed was insane, ear plugs included. (I didn't overheat though :) ) My concern with a short screen like that, and I could hear it in the video, is the buffeting at speed. I feel the width would allow enough air to keep cool. For some background, I currently also ride an ST1100 and spent some time and money on getting a shield that lets very little air through. I can see just over it and it is extra wide too. Great for cold weather (Canadian here), real stinker in heat described above but that's what the DR is for I guess right? After all that: Any experience at say sustained 80MPH+ freeway speeds with that shield? Noisy?
Great comment Man! Congratulations on owning one of the best motorcycles ever made! The windscreen does not fully eliminate the buffeting at higher speeds but does mitigate it some. It greatly helps in colder weather by reducing the wind hitting your chest and rising up towards your helmet. It is definitely a good addition for the DR. There are some other good windscreens which provide more wind deflection out there. I guess the Parabelum screen is a compromise between size and capability . Great to hear from a neighbor up in Canada! Hope this video was of some help and ride safe Mate!
Thanks Gregor! Glad you liked it! I like the look also. I hope you and yours hav a wonderful New Year and I can't wait to see more of your awesome videos! Cheers!

Love the Gen 1 KLR! I bet it looks really good. Great to hear you have a white DR also! The windscreen does help mitigate some of the wind direction and as you said, makes a huge difference on the highway. Hope you have a great New Tear and thanks for watching as always! Cheers!

Hi Jon! I was looking hard at doing the trash can DYI windscreen. Looks like it performs really well. I was worried I would booger it up if I tried to make one. Trash bag or rain protection, hard core Bro! I guess something is better than nothing though! Cheers!
@@doc650adventures I have proper gear for rain, the bag was a joke...lol. I took the trash can idea and made one out of clear plexiglass as to not hinder vision, it came out amazing. However, plexiglass breaks into sharp knives. So I quickly switched back to the trash can.
I was looking at that windscreen a couple of nights back. Price being a big factor. I had one, but it seems to direct the air straight to my neck and face. So it had to go. Came with the bike.
I am curious as to which windscreen you had that came with your bike? I had the Laminar screen on DOC but it cracked and was a struggle to install correctly. The Parabellum does direct some of the wind towards your head but not much. For me, not that big of a deal and preferable to the angled direction of the wind off the stock cowling. I am just glad the windscreen is not flat and has a nice curve to it or the wind would be horrible. So far it is performing well. Hope you have a great New Year Calvin!! Cheers!
Good video. I have the same windshield on mine and I like it. As a bonus you can stuff a rag or extra gloves in the space between the windshield and the stock headlight shroud.
Yes Sir! I use that space for my gloves when I am parked. I really like the windshield a lot. Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers!

Great job. However the washers with the rubbers were installed wrong. Both of those washers should be on either side of the new windscreen and the flat washer goes on the inside of the existing headlight cowl. The instructions clearly point that out. Take care
The rubber cup washers are meant to "sandwich" the windscreen only. I noticed you put the inside ones inside the fairing which is incorrect according to the instructions.
