The ending literally ruined literally years of character development and was just stupid in general. What was point in watching all those shows if they were just gonna reset everything?
They didn’t reset everything in a way, Toby is the new troll hunter so it would be interesting to see what happens rather than rewatching the whole series
@@s.uhayb0 they went all the way back to episode 1 and made everyone forget everything that happened and every villain they beat is now back alive. That’s literally reseting and let’s be real Toby’s gonna die as the Trollhunter there’s no way he’s gonna even beat Bular.
Fr the show was great but the ending was dumb asf hopefully if they make the sequel with Toby as the troll hunter they find a way to fix the time line or some shit because right now it’s not looking so good

Don’t end the sage by resetting the story.
End it properly by continuing it smoothly with Arcadia finally at peace. Now that is a glorious final act.
The ending was terrible. It makes the whole series like a dream. Like it never happened. Jim is the Troll Hunter. He was destined to be that. While I like Toby, he is a sidekick character.
I agree with you besides the last part, Toby wasn’t a sidekick, it may have seemed that way but he was Jim’s moral support since day 1 and he’s only human unlike jim who had the amulet that made him like a troll and Claire who had the shadow staff and shadow portal magic, he’s does the best he can to keep up with the those two but at least he had better fighting skills than Steve and Eli so I agree him having the amulet was a wrong move but with knowledge of the future Jim could have made Toby into a better fighter like better armor and better hammer and maybe mix it with the technology from krell and Aja

@@cacakelface2205 @Erikk T. My only problem is Jim's relation with Claire. Because he had been friends with Toby all his life. Claire however, only started to notice him after he became a Trollhunter. It's a bit weird how he'll see her. Cause he knows the Claire from his past, the one that fell in love with him, that fought alongside him, the one that fought Morgana by herself. All that shaped her. If Jim uses his knowledge of the past (future) to change those events, will Claire be the same Claire? What do you think?

I loved everything abt the movie but the end UGHH WHY. Jim should be the troll hunter, everyone lost so much character development. I just wish no one died
Despite the ending, this movie was great, as was the rest of the franchise. I really enjoyed Bellroc as the ultimate overarching antagonist of the franchise, and I think it was cool how, despite her and the Trollhunter line being the greatest enemies of each other (they've been fighting each other for almost and millennium), Bellroc still gave Jim the opportunity to spend his last moments with his loved ones.
Because she isn't evil. She wants balance but can't see the divine spark in humanity. She's blind as she was blinded in symbolism. She didn't learn.
She was her own villain and an enemy by unfortunate circumstances.
Sounds like the story of an angel who was cast out eh? More or less repeating. For only children are worthy of the kingdom inherently.
So this was another Michael casting out Samael. After all, even Skrael warned her there would be consequences for interfering directly.

Honestly I really disliked the whole experience. Pretty much everyone is out of character, and jim is given too much focus. I love him, but he’s not the main character. I’m totally good with him being the most powerful one there once he gets the new amulet, but everyone is equally the protagonist, douxie faced off against the arcane order in his show and he really only fully interacts the them (excluding Nari) in the beginning. And on top of that, the ending sucked.

what the final battle could’ve been: cool, unique combos between all the central characters, with clever battle strategies and emphasis on TEAMWORK and how they’re ALL trollhunters.

I think emile was a wonderful replacement for Anton the deeper voice the calm yet leader like spoken tone and he knew when to get serious props to him for voicing jim
But still i feel like when they changed his voice, they changed a lot of his character too.

I hate how they left us on a cliffhanger, it was sad and upseting at the same time. Toby risked his life to save Arcadia. Jim gos back into the past to make everything right. It just upsets me that they just left us on a cliffhanger and that was the final movie out of all the seasons. I wondered what happened to the present character after Jim went back to the past. And didn’t Jim said he would come back would he? So many trolls, Changlings, people, akaridians died throughout the series and movie. It’s just so frustrating
With the exception of whatever the ending was, waking up at 6:20 AM in the morning to watch this masterpiece of a film was a true experience!
I’m reading the comments and I see that almost everyone hated the ending which makes me feel 1000% better cause I hated it too but I thought that everyone liked it! For all those involved in the making and creation of this animated movie/series, you all did such and Amazing and epic job from the characters, storyline, animation, symphony and combining of the spin-offs mending them into one big story is absolutely an astonishing and amazing achievement!!! We’ll done! By far one of the greatest animated story’s ever made in my opinion
Best work of every production categories I’ve ever seen!!! Especially the symphony’s did such Awesome and Amazing work!!!! I was hurt that it had to end but the journey they took everyone on was unforgettable, everyone who worked on this film and story was on top of their game!!! To every department that had a role in the production of this film Thank you for all the hard and amazing work you all are masters of your craft NO DOUBT!!! Wish I coulda had even the smallest role in the making! I’ve always was mesmerized by the creation of animation especially the Art work and music behind it!!! I am a musician and artist myself I have a HUGE respect for all of it!!! And truthfully speaking a lil off topic but when you play an instrument you gain a way broader respect for all types and genres of music! Before I would just only listen to certain genres and artists but since I I been playing it opened my eye and mind and love for all creations of both music and art, well done to the creators of this film.. thank you!

The movie was great but the ending is just sad,so it means that tobby is the new trollhunter and the arcane order is still alive so like it also means that in the future douxie and merlin wouldn't have that great connection to each other because Jim would stop them from returning to the past😔😔
Honestly I really hated the movie. They role back Jim’s character development, all so he can relearn the lessons his show was built around, not to mention that he wasn’t the sole protagonist, he was only the main character for a third of the shows, and he didn’t even beat the main villain in his show.

I'm sorry but Toby is actually really incompetent. Jim just doomed everyone to certain death by giving Toby the amulet at the end there instead of using his future knowledge to save everyone like he was meant to 🙄
The Ending was an unsatisfying Ending JIM is the Troll hunter! And No disrespect to the people who likes Toby and I'm not saying this cause he's Plus sized! Its like Jim trying to steer Toby into that role feels forced like Jim could've just went back in time to the beginning of the movie, could've just Idk Let Toby Peacefully pass on and Have a funeral for the people they have lost or something like that!!
Let's be honests, it's a great movie but the only thing Bad is the ending, we hope this is not the last time we see them, i want a continue.
If you ask me this movie sucked all the way through. No one acted like themselves, Jim unlearned all his character development, it focused way too much on Jim (he’s not the protagonist of wizards or 3BELOW) and Jim solving the plot by himself spits in the face of the show’s message, which is quite clearly, “you shouldn’t be expected to do things alone”.
@Rottenappple37 True he was the main protagonist in Troll Hunters but he wasn’t in the other two shows. In 3BELOW it was Aja and Krel that were the main protagonists Jim wasn’t he was only in like one main part in an episode. He wasn’t the main protagonist in Wizards Douxie was. So I agree with you

I hated how they made them lose just so Jim can solo her even though it's been established that the amulet doesn't make you stronger. It's literally just magical armor. A lot of the plot didn't make sense continuity wise. They really just killed a lot of characters off just so they can say doing a flashpoint is the only solution
Remember when Jim as half troll can't win against Morgana or zombie King Arthur and Douxie can solo two demigod elements in his series.... Man what a trash movie😑

I felt like the Final battle was cool but it could have been better like instead of the Final battle being with just Jim and belroc i feel like they could have used the 9 configuration to release there own titan thats powered by all of them so that they all could have fought belroc together

The final battle was boring, with little to no interesting mixes of the various character’s power sets, and it ended up erasing the last five years of tales of Arcadia, it doesn’t matter that Jim remembers, because he’s NOT the main hero. There where three entire shows with their own protagonists, their character development was completely erased, making the whole show worthless.
The thing the people who made troll hunter I hate most about I hope is they forgot to add a bit where they show jim having the amulet he previously had so that both Toby and Jim would be troll hunters if they shown that for me the ending wouldn't be as bad
