for ya!!!!
It's good for your head to just get out!!
I didn’t even realize it was his music 🤦🏼♂️
I'm talking woo!!
1 of these days I'm conmen down for dinner, Tug, Krystal and D. It's only a 15 to 17 hr drive, for it would be well worth it. Love you all, Semper Fi.
I’m proud of you bro, hell if you only caught 2 that’s still great. To do something on your own and succeed is more than fantastic and I’m happy for you.
Krystal with a K seems like she's a trooper! Lips her own fish and everything! Those are some certified slab crappies, my man. Crappie is my favorite freshwater fish to eat, too. Always been a saltwater guy, but I found that I really enjoy catfishing at night. Those big channel cats on light tackle are a hoot!
Man I enjoy the catfish too! wait till you see this Sunday's video
I’ve never seen crappie that big in my life. Very interesting recipe. Great show. I love you both.
Glad you enjoyed it
That first crappy that you caught was an absolute stud !! Congrats ! 🎣🎣
Tug Trash Outdoors!! One of the best channels on youtube!!
Those were definitely some slabs! As a Virginian, I agree with you about Duke's Mayo. I also love the House Autry breadings.
Right on!
My wife will hear “never question a master at work”. 😂
NICE !
🤣
I think you need to thank Richard Gene, the fishing machine. Your intro song is from his shows and he catches more Crappie than anybody.
Those were some stud specks. I love how real you guys are and your love for the outdoors. I truly relate.
Crappie…. My first love!
I have 5 over 3lbs and many 50lb, 25 fish limits.
You’re doing it right!
In ca We can only use 2 jigs per rod and 2 rods if you pay extra.
Mainly when trolling I pay attention to the wind wave direction, depth, speed (.4-2.0mph) and skirt colors. 4lb test 1/16oz jig @1.2 will run about 8’ deep. 2 jigs @ 1/16ox will run 11-12 feet deep. Remember they look up….
Great series mister!
Nocked it out of the park again tug ! Another excellent video!
Flashbacks to the 5 gallon bucket challenge with will
I absolutely love that you used Richard Gene the fishing machines music to go Crappie fishing! Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Getting them on your own is a different feeling! Solid work
cheers for taking us along
You done good! Start to finish an enjoyable video. You are no longer a novice Crappie fisherman.
We called giant crappie like ones you caught saddlebags . Or at least my grandpa, uncles and dad did. They some good eating.
I like that! Saddlebags! 🤣
2:34 tank of a speck man!!!
Use 2 jigs about 12 inches apart, on a loop knot. Put the heavier one at the top. I use 1/8 and 1/16. Thats what works well here.
Your videos always puts a big smile to my face. I'm gonna have to watch your videos before I start my day to keep me motivated. Stay awesome and keep up the great videos!!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice crappie zoids!! ME and my husband use to catch 100s of them on lake Altoona in GA. Dang good eating!! We would have fish Fry's and everybody would show up 😊 Thanks for doing great videos. Especially the one where you went camping with the gators. Best one yet!!!
Ian I love to speck fish. I fished Dead / Cresent Lake Weds, Thurs, and Friday. We caught over 100. I have a great boat for Speck fishing. Keep up the good video's Love you guys. God Bless
Catch them in SC in April up near the banks on deadfall trees and shallow brush. Jigs under corks or Minnows under corks and they are fun!
Aloha Ian. Not gonna lie, left Florida after graduating in 92. Pretty much over the ubiquitous fried plates you got. Dubious fish, scallops, shrimp, and copious amounts of tasteless hush puppies. But, I would eat the crap outta that. Just good ole fashioned fish fry!
Awesome video!!!! I love crappie fishing and you hooked some monsters!!!!
Glad you enjoyed
The only thing I do different is try putting your corn meal or flour in a paper bag, It’ll keep your seasoning dryer, Especially if you’re frying a lot of fish!
Those are some slabs. FAMILY FIRST
Awesome. I recognize those waterways. Right by my house.
Awesome video, loved how excited the wife got! Hope to see you out there as I live in Hilliard.
Man, I love you guys videos. Still got a couple weeks up here in VA before the crappie get biting but I can’t wait. Definitely my favorite freshwater fish. Also love how Krystal, with a K, calls em quiet dogs. My daughter calls em silent dogs. Tight lines and straight shots from VA. 👍
😮 big ones i haven't seen this yet in my state Birmingham Alabama great job respect from 205 pisces black alpha Male Birmingham Alabama home of the civil rights movement
Remember to go fishing when you can cause it's good fer you!
Beautiful specks! I’m going to try the jalapeno’s in my next hush puppies "
Dude, those are absolute SLABS! I fish them up north in Wisconsin and they don't get that big! It's super interesting to see you troll for them. We fish smaller bodies of water and jig. But, you are using the same tackle as we use! Jigs and twister tails! Super cool.
@0:39 sport mode engaged
🤣
Love the videos but also the banter between yous!
Love the videos. You have a beautiful wife and daughter and I like that this is a family lifestyle. Without them, it is all for nothing. Just my thought. First saw you with Gabe. He loves y'all and that is kool with me. I saw that y'all camp here in South Kakalaky and that is another plus. I live just southeast of Columbia. Keep up the good vids and more of the Tug Boat ones too. Take care brother. Florida is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us all!!
Thank you so much!
That first fish was a definite mounter!! Congratulations!!
Well you and Krystal caught some 5 gallon slabs of specs!
😂😂 I thought me and my dad were excited when we figured it out last weekend … we caught some sho nuff nice ones also and have never done it before in our lives we got to a point where we were dropping them on the deck trying to measure them and they just flop overboard and we would just laugh and catch another one fast as it hit the water absolute blast !!!!!
I saw your post! Y’all whacked em! Tell Capt Pat I said hello
Paused the video, just got me an 8in fixed with yer code thanks for that sir!!! Watching the rest now!
Awesome! Thanks!

Great job much love Tug and Kristal. Another great video 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Not sure when crappie spawn is down there, but that's the time when you can really put a hurtin' on them. That shallow water spawn bite is blast! Crappie ceviche!
It’s about to kick off
Loved seeing you guys on Bluegabes video.
Keep an eye out new stuff coming
Congratulations on catching Speck on your own!! Loved the excitement!! So much fun!
Thank the Heavens you showed up! I was getting bored and then I saw "Tug".....I have entertainment until dinner, yeah!
😁
TT you are so down to earth, o and miss K to. Love your stuff keep it rocking. I will be in touch
Great video. I remember catching what we called specs or speckled perch in a small lake in Hawthorne, FL with my buddy and his wife scaled em, applied a light breading and friend em up. Pretty tasty but nothing like those you are pulling in.
Them hush puppies look so good with them crappy I thought I was getting ready to get a piece ... Lol tug trash 4 life... 😂
🙌🏽💪🏽🇺🇸
Hi We just saw you at the Sonny's drive thru. We were lovin' on your puppy. Our son just sent us your video😊
Catfish, crappie and mullet my three favorites. You won't get any sweeter meat than crappie.
Slammers!!!
Crappie are awesome eating Not bad on the fillet job. My go to batter is shore lunch. Simple but so good.
Great recipe. Cannot wait to try. Ian, you remind me of my brother. You could have been twins
Great video as always Tug! I thought Piggly Wiggly went out of business, we had them in Ky 30+ years, haven't seen one in a long time. After watching this I feel embarrassed that I ate a 3 piece fish meal from Captain D's today LOL but it was good :)
Those are big crappie! Would love to see a detailed video on how to troll for crappie like that
Blue Gabe would be upset with you, not frying the backbones and eating the fins!!!🤣
I always look forward to your videos they give me joy 😊
Well I’ll keep making them then!
Thank you for great videos I'm learning a lot watching you cook thank you for the good tips thank you
Louisiana made Blue Plate mayonnaise is my first choice.
Awesome video, thank you Tug! God Bless you and your family!
Tug those were some toads. Loved the video. Stay safe
Here soon, you can just jig for them in the shallows around vegetation.
Holy Crap 😳 that 1st one is Huge!!
Awesome video! Our Nursing Home Fishing Team, fished Cresent Lake, and the canal over to Dead Lake from 2-7 thru 2-9-24! Caught a lot of 2lb. fish! My fishing partner and I brought home 97 nice specks! Keep the videos coming, I enjoy them! That dipping sauce looks good, will have to give it a try!
Don't feel too bad, I'm 56, and I think I only caught maybe only 1 crappie in my life. I used to live in PA, but from what I remember, crappie were kind of rare. Now that I'm a "transplant," you're (hopefully) not one of those types of fisherman that doesn't believe in giving out fishing spots, but if you are, could you maybe just kind of give me the vicinity of where on the St Johns River you guys were at? I don't think I ever saw crappie as big as the ones you were pulling in. It would be cool if I could land my second (but hopefully not last) crappie as that much of a magnitude as on this video. Simply AWESOME bro! However, if you'd rather not say, I guess I can understand it. Like I said though, how about just the vicinity? I would be so thankful and grateful! Keep up videos, my wife and I love them!
GOD BLESS!
thanks Tug..makes me think of coming to Florida to fish
Awesome!
I dream of going to Florida to fish and crab one day
Do it!
I will one day, it's tough with 5 kids lol. until then i live vicariously through You @BlueGabe and @deermeatfordinner@@TugTrashOutdoors keep it up my man!
@@tedwelshans28 thank you! I sure hope ya make it one day
Crappie is my favorite type of fishing, so relaxing. It is also my favorite freshwater fish to eat, period ! There is a lot of different ways to catch them wit live bait or artificial lures. Hook and bobber or slip bobber or tight line jigging or casting or shooting docks or trolling ( I'm not a fan of trolling ). Great video, looks like ya'll had a blast !
Congrats on the SLABS! I'm gonna try that special Ian sauce next time I fry some fish, looked delish!
Dude, congrats finding them on your own. It took me until I was 25 to catch my first. I was in taxidermy school and I caught what I thought was a monster, a whopping 12” fish! 😂. I ended up mounting it in school… then I moved down gear at 39 and I laugh thinking about that mount now
That's awesome
6:58 it was mid-60s today, and perfect grilling weather
Tug Trash Congratulations to you man on catching your crappies man. They was huge too. Let go man. You know i love watching you cook man. It looked so good man. Where is your restaurant at so I can order me to go plate. "LOL" can a Truck 🚛 driver order a plate to go please. All that food looked really good man & i am hungry too. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.
I live in PA and I’ve never gone Crappie Fishing. I also have never been Fishing in Florida and I’d LOVE TO!!! After falling at work last year (15FT) and breaking my Left Femur & Left Heel I have a new Outlook on Life and putting items like this on my Bucket List!! Thank you for all the videos, I watch a lot during my time at home as I’m still recovering.
Thomas, take care out there. I broke my back in 2018, there's just no coming back from some things. Learn to take life easy.
@@1boortzfan Thank you! Every Day is a Blessing!! It gave me a whole New Outlook on Life!! I almost wasn’t here, as I fell I missed a forklift by a Foot. If I’d have fallen a foot more to the right I wouldn’t be here…..
@@1boortzfan I also started a Bucket List once I came home from the Hospital. A Fishing Trip in FL is on that List!!
@@thomashunsickerjr937 I live in central Florida between Tampa and Orlando. There's plenty of fishing here and plenty of guides to make sure you have a good time.
@@1boortzfan lake Eustis is awesome lake
Ian I seen you were at Georgia boys. If you ever get a chance try to fix that Robin spillway on the ocklawaha. Right at the spillway. Tie up to the barrels.
I gotta try that up here in VA when things warm up a bit. Thanks for sharing
Any time
I know I'm envious! Nice to see how thrilled you were smiling like a kid in a candy shop LOL 😊
Looks like you all had a lot of fun catching the fish. 🐟 The food looks absolutely delicious. 😋
